  1. You find that you can fit a lot more people on a planet when they can be folded to fit into a space about a metre cubed. I had a 10% growth rate and ended up with an utterly absurd population which nobody seemed to notive. As I said, if I didn't start screwing around with the matrioshka brain I might have won.
  2. Where did you get that from? I had a population of over of a trillion by the end of the game. or something like 500 billion. I can't entirely remember. There would be plenty of people to operate the planet destroying weapons.
  3. A bunch of planets upon which god-knows what planet destroying weapons could be developed.
  4. And then there was Aether. Several ruined (For everyone else, anyway) planets, surrounded by a cloud of turrets so thick that it pretty much stopped the outer planets getting any light at all. Plus, if i didn't start screwing around with the matrioshka brain, that would have been a valuable military asset as well.
  5. "Don't bother. I'm fine" states Lelantos, rather shocked that he was so easily spotted, a pool of blood now forming at his feet. The would was clearly still there, but he appeared to simply be ignoring it. He could even move his arm perfectly, despite the bolt striking his elbow. "So yeah, what's up with all the giant lizards? They look sort of funny. Do they taste good?" he says, glancing over the cave in a curious fashion, tilting his head to one side.
  6. "Bah. Who to follow, who to follow... That guy!" gestures Lelantos, pointing at the green robed man, while talking to nobody in particular. He hops down from his tree, and starts following the path he took. After a few minutes, he sees a cave a few dozen metres ahead, and suddenly, his eyes light up "Caves... Usually mean treasure. Or at least exploration.", he thinks, and begins running towards it. He turns at the last second to see a large bolt flying at his shoulder. THUNK. The bolt hits him in the arm and knocks him to the side. His arm is pinned to his chest, and he is bleeding quite heavily now. He uses his other arm to try to remove the bolt, but is apprently not strong enough to do so. Instead, he chooses the next best option, and rams the pierced shoulder into a tree, allowing him to grip the bolt from both sides and remove it by pushing and pulling at the same time. "Well, that was rather an annoyance" he thinks to himself, face scrunched in no small amount of pain. He decides to proceed with caution from here on out, climbing a nearby tree, and jumping around in the canopy, kicking off the trees to make his way to the entrance of a cave. He goes in and hides in the darkness near the entrance, watching what the green robed person has planned.
  7. (Earth, I get the feeling you're trying to treat this as a game, instead of an RP. Somebody is just going to say "I skillfully and deftly avoid the projectiles, persuing Earth into the cave", if they really want to.)
  8. Ocassionally, I'll be playing my DS at night, and I'll be fairly tired at the same time, then suddenly, I think I've lost it and somehow it got underneath the sofa, so I then take the entire sofa apart and move it, only to realise that it was in my damn hand all along.

Well frontier is coming to the Xbox sometime in the near/far future (Not entirely sure), and I'll pretty much be getting that as soon as I can. If they make the online as good as it is in Tri, it'll be pretty amazing.

General Monster Hunter thread. Which game you think is best, which weapons you like using, which monster, all that stuff... But more importantly, Monster Hunter Tri online connection. Personally, I'd love to play MH3 online with some TIFers, so if possible I'll set aside some time to do so if anybody wants to. I often use longsword or lance. Now anybody who plays monster hunter will be groaning and muttering "Easy Mode" under their breath, but hey, at least I'm not one of the people who goes online and then, at the first chance they see goes "LOL SEPHIROTH" and then does a spirit slash on their entire team as well as the monster. I'm pretty surprised nobody has made a monster hunter thread as of yet, actually.
  11. Loving that alignment chart.
  12. I'd say I was lawful neutral. Perhaps lawful evil.
  13. (Earth. NPCs.)
  14. I beg to differ. The best offence is defense. You wait until they've exhausted resources attacking you, then launch a huge attack upon their weakened state when they do not expect it. Hex, you're wrong. We gave a lot of warning, and that is the simple truth. This conversation is clearly going in circles, so whether you accept that or not, I shan't respond. Also, you're using phlebotinum in the wrong sense. Hegemony doesn't have a "plot" as such, so phlebotinum doesn't work.
  15. I came in after you guys, but it wasn't by much. I might have had a legitimate chance at winning hegemony V1, but I started screwing around with wormholes and stuff. Then again, the alternative is going uberdefense and building a lightyear wide wall around my entire system made of Ares cannons and goalkeeper railguns, creating a standoff where nobody wins. Because I love defense.
  16. There is a difference in the way we did things. Wheras we said "Stop doing X unless you want to be destroyed, we don't like it at all" You said "Do this, which will permenantly cripple your country and put it under my control, or I will destroy you" We gave you a chance to stop and avoid it. You did not have the good grace to do that, and instead tried to lock me in a permenant cage. And I retaliated accordingly.
  17. Digging this thread out on account of Rainy_Day's request for us to stop derailing threads. No, actually, you are wrong. We gave you ample advice (Or warnings, or threats or whatever. Same thing, really), before attacking.
  18. No session today or tommorow, due to me being exhausted from exams and having not even started the next campaign yet. Besides, I want to kick back and play Monster Hunter Tri for a few hours later, too. I'll try to have it done by next week.
  19. (Uhm... Earth, I think (s)he was implying an epic fight scene between NPC and his/her PC (I don't know, sorry. Vixion is so ambiguous  ), but I guess that oppurtunity just up and vanished)
  20. Hrm, well, if you'd like retorts, I shall oblige, pains me as it does. I have a chemistry exam in the morning. So I shouldn't be up too late. I attacked you because you basically came into the game (And indeed, the forum as a whole) and started throwing stupid ideas around, not listening to the PAGES of advice we tried to give you about how what you were doing was not going to work, then finally, a few of us just got really annoyed with you (It's not difficult to become annoyed when you are present), and decided "It doesn't respond to logic. Smash it with a big stick." I assume your attempt to back me into a corner (since you thought I didn't have any comeback to your comment and was running away from the problem (Remind you of anyones war with India? I'm talking about how you didn't post defenses for 3 days to stall for time, in case you didn't get that)), was simply an act to boost your own self-worth and feeling of superiority over me? You're not the only one who is fairly good at reading people, Hex. I think most of the tavern has that innate ability. Comes from RPing a lot. If anybody gets this reference, I shall be very shocked. Ross, over and out.
  21. Well, I think giving military control to one person makes things more consistant regardless. It's like the saying "Too many cooks spoil the broth" except "Too many generals make a convulated mess of a plan and everyone dies" Sere, as I recall, you followed me to Sega-Res due to the fact that I was also NWO, correct?
  22. Seraphi replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
They can't get over Sere's XBOXHUEG wall.
  23. It's not really that fun when you get your country taken in the first decade, either. Or at least, somebody tries to take it. How about you just stop talking?
  24. Huh. Mather, as a fellow man of science (kind of), I wouldn't think you would believe in magically telling the future. Hex, that is irrelevant anyway because trying to predict every atom/subatomic particles movement is pretty much impossible. You'd need the entire energy output of... I don't even know, to create a computer that could do it. We're talking about predicting what every atom in the universe will do at any given time. I conclude that seeing into the future is frankly impossible, unless somebody can provide evidence otherwise, other than a personal experience that may or may not have been created by your subconcious.
  25. Hex. You are gone. Blamm'd. Dissappeared. Kicked off. Banned. Whichever way you put it YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO PLAY. What would have happened is irrelevant.
