(Okay, I just feel I'm being a little railroaded into using something which I don't want to. It's no real worry though.) Ares attempts to crawl up the ramp. (PS. Cartomancy is control of playing cards... I think you may have it confused, unless the ramp happens to be made of playing cards.)

Okay Rocco, the Crisis suit design is complete in like 3-4 years, then it'll take about 5 years to get it read for mass production. I'll keep upgrading it, and provide allies with newer generations. The paper thin battery is being implemented as a main power source in the crisis suits.

(Hmmm, do I have to use another kinesis ability here? I was kind of hoping that I could make do with just Cartokinesis, for the purposes of roleplay) Ares stumbles around in the dark and looks for a way out.

First rule of Dice Rpg: The GM is god. Arguing with his word will get you "Rocks fall everyone dies" Anyway. Ares attempts to heal the bone using... Uuh...Somethingmancy? He then looks around his new surroundings, and tries to create a pack of playing cards using cartomancy.

Ares continues running up the ramp and away from his starting point.

Ah yeah, I need to make a research list as well. Project Sting Project Scythe Crisis Battlesuit project Exoskeleton Weaponry Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene. F20 and F22 reverse engineering Room temperature Superconductors Efficient Jump-Jets Rocco, do you want any help on that battery research? I could use it for the Crisis Suits. I could trade geothermal power for it, when it's completed, if you want?

Ares jumps onto the bats backm turns around and brings his heel down on it's head.

Awesome sauce I guess.

Soldiers of Napta
Heh. Cartomancy for the win. Razor playing cards. EDIT: Oh, we're actually playing, haha. Ares kicks the bat on the side of the head before trying to break it's eardrum with a handful of sand again.

Hate is too strong a word, but I never really liked the wonder system in the first place (Feels like I've been doing a lot of ranting lately, so I apologise for that), so I put FTL, but no wonder. I've been okay with it, though, but I just think this one is just a little overpowered. As I said, Hate is too strong a word though. Also, Stutter Drive heck yeah. Work begins on room temperature superconductors. By placing some near absolute zero degree points along a wire, you can get it to superconduct without the entire wire being at low temperature. 20 years, 10% of the budget that was going to infrastructure now going to that. Hey Grim, do you mind aiding me? Oh yeah, and I propose an alliance with India, being so close and all.

When it means abusing one of the games rules and long standing traditions (I don't think we've ever had a scenario where anybody was researching any more than like, 12 things at once before), then yeah, kinda.

Doesn't make them efficient. Icu, any one of us could have decided "I'll make over 25 projects and put 5 billion into each of them, instead of 10 projects with more money". You didn't really think of any system, you took the existing system overboard. Pretty far overboard, actually. Call me when you hit the Bermuda Triangle. Sometimes, you need to sacrifice realism for gameplay. Just because some of us doen't have the time to micromanage hundereds of projects doesn't mean we should be limited because of it.
-
Hegemony
Limited, not just a blanket ban, and I agree. I also propose a cap on research projects. Say, 10 or so, to prevent people going completely overboard. Icu, there is nothing really stopping me from copypasting your entire research list, really, but I'm not going to because it's kind of douchebaggery to have so much for Archi to handle at once.
-
Hegemony
Icu, now you're just being stupid. I mean seriously. Ah well, we all know how Archi tends to make things blow up in your face if you go too far. "99% of India's Scientists commit suicide due to the vast amounts of pressure placed upon them" This is why I use percentages, instead of actual money numbers. You always use up all of your budget that way, and you don't feel like you've left something out.
-
Hegemony
Yeah Archi, I was trying to make a point about Icu having like 25+ projects. I'm not actually going to abuse it, but my meaning may have been unclear. Also: Icu, research is everyones main thing. As I recall, you also have a bigger military than a lot of people.
-
Hegemony
Since it gets him free tech. Anyway, since there seems to be no drawback to having like 900 projects going on at once, I shall make an extensive list of tech that I am going to research. Also, I agree. No FTL yet.

Mather, I don't think a hole made by a bullet would heal, since the space in the centre of the hole is empty, what would stop the metal applying the same way to everything around it? It wont heal a bullet hole. Also, Icu, how many damn projects do you want? People should at least take penalties for having over 10 going at once, or else everyone is going to end up doing that and we'll all drown in a sea of overpowered war technology.

So it basically acts as a metal with a higher tensile strength? That's what I just said. When you first said "healing metal", I instantly thought "Terminator" so yeah. As it turns out, if you hit it with an explosive, it's going to go boom just like regular metals, meaning it's use is relatively limited outside of industry, where it shines.
-
Hegemony
Yes, but Mather, that's in the case of a single atom. What happens when an explosive hits it and billions of atoms are removed or displaced? The metal does not have a genetic code with which to refer to when reforming a lost limb (To answer Hex's question), so how would the metal reform in the same shape? That wikipedia article states that pretty much the only difference between that and regular metals is that it properly flows when heated, is slightly more elastic and has a higher tensile strength. I can't see the benefits over carbon nanotubes, which are stronger still. Basically, it IS useful and possible, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't "Heal" as such.
-
Soldiers of Napta
Er...Yeah. A character with about 5 paragraphs of backstory. How did you manage to forget that?
-
Hegemony
Mather, after giving it some thought, I'm kind of confused as to how that self repairing metal would work. After all, there isn't some universal "Template" which the metal assigns itself to. If a hole is blown in it, it wont fill the hole. How would it work? Yeah, okay Icu, why not.

Depends, what's in it for me?
