Ugh. To be honest, I don't think I can be bothered. Both me and Retech are absolute munchkins when it comes to RP games, and I just....bleh. I'll probably regret this, but whatever. As per the frontpage rules, Australia explodes. There you go Retech.

But Retech, you can't stop Asia trading with the US because you don't control it. And for the record, I began talks with Indonesia, then you sent troops in, so I did the same. Australia is Indonesia's neighbor too, so they aren't going to be that biased towards you. I'm quite tempted to ragequit due to this annexation nonsense.

Retech, I believe I'm allied with the US. I doubt Indonesia is biased against me, I'm their neighbor as much as Japan is. They'd probably be equally biased against you. Basically, you can't join with them or use them while I'm here, so yeah. Also, what if two people want the same country? The annexing system doesn't work vert well, end of story. The only countries that I'm close to are the ones Japan also wants, for instance.

Indonesia isn't defending against me for the same reason it isn't defending against itself. I never sent troops to Indonesia. Indonesia and Japan joined together to form a single republic. I will probaly be peacefully annexing Papau New Guinea, as that doesn't have an army. I never took Indonesia. The rule is 5 days, not years. Japan and Indonesia are like best buds now. They aren't one bud, but they're best buds. Indonesia is defending itself with its army. Papau New Guinea would do so as well, if it even had an army. What. That's freaking stupid. If you can do that, then I can enter talks to prevent you to allying. And that's exactly what I'm doing. You cannot assimilate Indonesia or use Indonesia while I'm here.

For the record, I'm actually using a decent timescale (20 years~) to fully assimilate Indonesia. Retech decided that he/she....Retech decided that IT had control over Indonesia before the 5 years was even halfway over. Now I'm countering Japan's occupation with my own peaceful occupation.

Explain to me why Indonesia is not defending itself against you. I'm sending unarmed transports with troops for peaceful occupation, which is exactly the same as what you are doing. You never took Indonesia. You couldn't have at this point due to the thread only being 4 days old, where 5 years are required for annexation. Which is 10 days, for the record. Therefore, you have no right to control Indonesia.

Retech, you aren't controlling Indonesia. May I remind you that you are also invading them to try to take them over.

Australia begins talks to discourage Indonesia's naval blockade. During meetings they try to persuade the Indonesian government that Japan is using them as a puppet state and a buffer in the event of an attack.

Australia continues talks and also peacefully occupies Indonesia. Yeah. This wont end well for either of us.

Annexing in general is a stupid system to use in this game. It eliminates the need for combat until all the countries have been annexed. By which point there are 2-3 people with supercountries because they annexed goddamned everything.

But the 5 day rule is goddamn stupid. It becomes a game of whoever can "Initiate talks" with the most countries at once.

I don't agree with this 5 year annex rule, and I think it should be 20~ years. No country would willingly surrender their independancy in 5 years in real life. So yeah, I'll be negotiating with Indonesia for the next 20 years to hopefully get them to unite under Australia's flag.

So...you haven't actually done much other than make Indonesia act like a puppet state? If that's the case, then it should be easy enough to sway their favour by 2030.

Since when? I never heard of this. Also, on the matter of annex/puppet state fests, I think it should take around 20 years before you can fully control a country.

I'm still a legitimate player. Just an invincible one who wants to end the game in a more spectacular way than "Everyone is happy forever. There are hugs. The end." Hrm. Well, I suppose I could just send a nanobot attached to one of your ships to locate the system. Assuming I have like a week to tunnel back into the universe.

I have a computer which can warp space time and send me into an invincible bubble. I'm sure I could locate it, given about a week.

A moon sized fusion bomb appears in the Sol system. It has a smiley face on it. Have fun, it detonates in about a year.

Australia issues a prompt "Wtf Mate?" to the world, and then begins talks with Indonesia about joining Australia. Goal is to have the two countries under the same flag by 2030. All my research continues as per usual. Digging of canals etc. A new military system is being sorted out, to be announced when all the new equipment is issued. The new range of guns is coming along nicely.
