Lucid dreaming
I have found another 'method' to lucid dream. I haven't tested this myself but here goes: Someone else tested this method and said: Another random helpful quote:

There's nothing wrong with posting images you've created using tutorials - but it would be nice if you posted urls to tutorials/gave credit :)

Lucid dreaming
Im getting ready to go to bed and shall do this as well. Im very anxious  Remember, if you freak out you can just hold your breath and it'll be over. You don't have to force yourself to do it with the method in the first post, there are other ways. (Which take more practise) Be sure to post how it went tomorrow :) Have a nice dream :P

Lucid dreaming
I think that's regular dreaming. I only think though. No, I'm pretty sure being aware that you're dreaming is lucid dreaming - just not to the same 'stage' as being able to control your dreams. I can't find the page where I read this right now but there are different stages of lucid dreaming, i.e just being aware but not having control > being aware and having control > complete control Adrenal, anything I guess? I like repeating to myself in my head that I'm dreaming though. Or you can think stuff like "I'm going to have a lucid dream" to help force yourself to have one :D

Today...
I did the lucid dreaming thing too, didn't get any good results though. I did it a couple times last night. The first time my eyes started going a little crazy in almost just a minute, but I think that was 'cause I was really tired. I don't remember why but I woke myself up after that. The second time worked better. My chest felt really heavy and breathing was slow. It was pretty weird and indescribable what was happening with my eyes. Even though it was dark in my room and my eyes were closed, the darkness I was "seeing" with my eyes closed kept getting darker and darker and it sort of felt like it was spinning. But I think I freaked myself out so I quit and just went to sleep normally. I was an interesting experience though. I'll try it again tonight. Woah, that's basically what happened to me >_> It's too freaky for me though. Lol, your signature is funny, I love that emoticon. It describes me in so many situations.

Lucid dreaming
I don't even know! It was a pretty pathetic lucid dream. But I did try the instructions, and then I thought "[bleep] this, I wanna have a nap." And got into a more comfortable position. However, I did keep repeating to myself in my head "I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming." I think this helped me because I kept thinking it during my dream and then I thought "I'm dreaming - Oh yeah I'm dreaming!! Really? Okay lemme test it out." *crash*

Lucid dreaming
What is lucid dreaming? Earlier on today, I posted in the 'Today...' thread with a description of my first attempt at lucid dreaming. Here is the original post: [hide]I had a pretty interesting (well, more like [bleep]ed up in my opinion) night of sleeping. I thought I'd type it here quickly before I forget it all. Backstory: I have always been really interested in making myself lucid dream, and I found myself a set of instructions that helps you lucid dream. If anyone wants the exact instructions I used, I'll edit them into this post. Anyways, so I went to bed and what I was supposed to do was remain completely still (with eyes shut), and my brain would try to test if I was asleep by making me feel itchy or giving me an urge to roll over. I had to ignore all of these urges and itches, and I did. After about 10 minutes I kept thinking, "Am I dreaming yet?" Then suddenly I heard this really weird noise inside my head, I knew it was inside my head so that freaked me out a bit. It sounded like a demented version of bubble wrap popping mixed with rice krispies popping mixed with hail. Suddenly, my eyes began to move rapidly back and forth and I kept seeing little fuzzy things... so I freaked the [bleep] out. "Ahhhh my eyes, is this normal?!" And the instructions said if you freaked out/wanted to stop, you had to hold your breath and this would shock your body out of it, so I held my breath and was fully awake. I was so freaked out that I was shaking and in a sweat. I think I woulda lucid dreamed if I had continued letting my eyes go crazy.. (found out it's REM sleep and that's when you may dream) -__- BAH! How annoying. Couldn't achieve the freaky eye thing again because I kept falling asleep because I was so tired. But I did have some weird dreams (that's normal, I always have weird dreams though). Edit: Might as well tell you guys some of last night's dream. 1st dream involved me and a friend [call him #1] (don't really want to go into depth, not really interesting..). 2nd dream - I was on facebook and was telling #1 my dreams. I was sitting on a hill and typing on a weird laptop that I don't own. This woman (followed by her boyfriend) sat down on my laptop and kept jumping up and down (with her [wagon]). She kept ruining what I was going to type and I asked "Do you mind? Trying to type here.." and she just kept jumping up and down again. Another dream started to merge with this dream, and I found myself in my kitchen making udon noodles. Cut back to dream 2 - I grabbed the woman's sunglasses and snapped them - I felt really badass. Then she tried to insult me.. I insulted her back by implying that I had sex with her boyfriend. She reacted very badly to this comment.. she grabbed me by the leg, picked me up and swung me round and round. I kept thinking "Yell out that she's being racist!!", so I yelled out "RACIST!!!! HELP!!!!1 THERE'S A RACIST!!!!" The police arrived and arrested her for her racism, where she was placed into a long cage with a monster.. The monster looked exactly like this thing that I've seen on the internet before - I can't find the image now but it is this fat blob that looked kinda creepy. The woman was on the other side of the cage with the monster, and the monster just stared at her the whole time. The woman rocked back and forth slowly with her hand around her legs, muttering "...please.." over and over again in a pleading voice. The police finally opened the cage and she didn't have the strength to get up so she just rolled backwards onto the ground. Blood poured out of her mouth as she rolled backwards and I think she was dead.. not sure. I still have a distinct image of blood pouring out of her mouth and the fat blob monster in my head. Cut back to the udon noodles dream, I ate them. I remember at one point in the night half-waking up and feeling my hand move by itself onto my stomach, that felt really weird and I felt like this: [/hide] Some people seemed interested in the whole concept of lucid dreaming (especially romy), so I decided to make this thread. If you would like to have your own lucid dream, have a look at these instructions: This is also a helpful website: http://www.dreamviews.com/ Please note that I have heard bad stories about people who have attempted to lucid dream - such as getting night terrors, so be wary if you try and follow the above instructions. I myself freaked out a bit on my first attempt. I'd also like to note that I had a successful lucid dream during a very long nap (2 hours or so) this afternoon. Please post any tips, stories or opinions on lucid dreaming in this thread :)

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Haha, i do both these. Also checking behind the shower curtain whenever i go into the bathroom. It's nice to be paranoid. I do the shower curtain thing too! I stand in front of the shower, take a deep breath...Then I rip open the curtains as fast as I can and prepare to scream at the sight of a monster or a grudge-like creature standing in the shower. When I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I'm too scared to flush the toilet... (I end up flushing it anyways because that's gross.) I also can't bear to look in mirrors or outside windows in case I see something looking back at me. Then when I get to my dark hallway, I sprint to my room where I hide under my covers. I've recently gotten into the habit of hiding every inch of my body underneath my blankets because exposing even a finger or my face would mean that monsters would get me D: I do all of that too o_o Let's make overly-paranoid babies.

Today...
I just tried that (despite my growing fear...), and I think I managed to start lucid dreaming, but somehow I just stopped it almost immediately. I easily managed to ignore all itches, but my body kept telling my muscles to move, and even though I could stop them from any noticeable movement, I could still feel the muscles (especially in my left knee for some reason) a bit. At some point I felt a really fuzzy feeling and I thought I'm no longer in my room. I think that REM thing started too. But then, after realizing I'm dreaming, I think my brain ordered my body to wake up. I tried spinning in my dream (and I think I even managed to for a little while) but then I just "got back to my room". Despite that, I didn't move at all and kept trying, but my muscles and my eyeballs stopped me every time I started getting that fuzzy feeling. Am I doing it wrong? Did I even succeed the first time or was I imagining that? Any help would be greatly appriciated, I'm starting to get VERY curious about trying it out. Maybe I should make a lucid dreaming thread *shifty eyes*. I think it probably works best when you're about to go to sleep for the night, not just napping - you only end up napping for like 30 minutes or so, and I don't think that's enough time to end up falling into a deep sleep. I felt fuzzy too before my eyes went crazy..so don't think you're doing it incorrectly, but I haven't even done it successfully so I can't really say much. You being unable to move was sleep paralysis, if you had had gone back to bed maybe you coulda dreamed a bit. I'd like to warn you guys before you try the instructions that some people have had 'problems' with lucid dreaming and end up getting night terrors I'll try again tonight (i'm only doing it in the weekend) and see if I can get it this time. I think I was pretty darn close. Lucid dreaming is having the ability to control your dreams so I guess it's like a normal dream but you can control your body. My friend is able to lucid dream every night and he tells me that it's almost like a second life, sometimes he prefers it to real life because he can go up to girls, ask them out and not get rejected. Don't think it's really like an acid trip though.

Today...
....In the movie theaters?! With another man? Did you get caught?!?!?! Today it felt as if I were in a dream, and my everything looked a bit strange to me. I even had to count my fingers and pinch myself before I walked into school to make sure I really was awake. I was one of the 3 people in my class to get an Excellence (the best) grade in my first Physics test of the year; more than half the class failed so I was happy about that. Edit: Oh yeah, boobs on bikes came to my city today. Many of my male friends skipped class to go look at their large breasts. I was invited too, but wasn't really interested in seeing a whole lot of boners at once.

Toothpaste
Wanna know how whitener toothpaste works? They're abrasive so they hit your teeth like sandpaper. In 20 years all those kids who use whitener toothpate will have yellower teeth than cheese. Sauce of this? http://www.mayoclini...thpaste/an01818 Also my dentist. I can't find the part where it talks about people who use whitener toothpaste ending up with yellow teeth later on in life.

Today...
It's fun right? And then it gets boring for a bit... UNTIL you drive on the highway by yourself and you're like WOAHHHHH I'M A SPACEMAN and you feel amazing. Haha I did drive on the highway today :P Went to get some jumpers for Winter, and an iPod FM Transmitter ;) Awesome! My driving experience was enhanced after I bought an adapter for my music player, then I felt all gangster when I drove. Damn, I woke up an hour earlier, got ready to leave and everything - then I looked at the time on the microwave and I was like "... has it.. frozen?" Then I dashed around the house finding proof that it was 7:30 instead of 8:50 (like it said on my watch). Turns out something changed the time on my watch >_> A GHOST I TELLS YOU!
