Personally I don't really care for the name.

It's only for stages that remain stationary like Pokemon Stadium, Warioware Inc., and Luigi's Mansion.

That's why the people who made the Brawl+ codes also put in a Level Freezing code so the stage doesn't transform. For example on Luigi's Mansion the mansion starts out completely destoyed and it stays destroyed.

Then Dio Brando comes out of nowhere and punches you over 9000 times, uses ZA WARUDO, throws a bunch of knives at you, then he jumps up and brings a steamroller out of the sky to crush you, and then he screams WRYYYYYYYYY! Then I steal the cheese out from all the confusion.

I wouldn't say Brawl+ is a rip off. It's more like a hybrid of both games' mechanics working in unison. It brings back old style dash dancing and you are allowed to face the opposite way of the ledge and still grab it.
