And for most cases, the +4 str DOES put you over the bracket, increasing your max hit. If we're gonna argue over bonus's, then why don't you all go and ask yourself why idiots melee in armadyl, with it's negative melee bonus, cause hell, there's loads of [bleep]s that do.

Feathers aren't worth it now. They were when the pouches were 613xp each, now that it's around 1/2 that, it just isn't worth the money to use them to train.

You cant say there's no familiar that you want, if you've never trained it to find out what they're like. I cba looking up your stats to see for myself why you have no need for familiars, that's your choice. If your not 99 RC, try a ghraak, it's faster than the abyss. If your not 99 Slayer, try a bunyip, it's priceless on the way to slayer. If your not 99 Fishing, try a granite lobster, it's extra xp on the way for the same time and effort. There's many others but if your set on not even TRYING a skill, so be it. Woah there cowboy. I didnt say there's no familiar I want, but in order to try out said familiar I would have to waste my time raising summoning. I stated that there's no familiar out there which I looked at and said goddamn I need to get myself one of them there familiars and i'm abosolutely going to waste my time raising summoning to get it. If your saying your not trainin cause it costs alot, thats a different story, but as for a waste of time, i beg to differ. The time i have saved myself on slayer tasks / RCin so far , far outweighs the time i spent running off my charms for lvls. If nothing else, it's total lvls + xp. As for costs, did you stop yourself with construction? It's worse than summonin, unless you have a guilded alter, it's not worth it. At the end of the day, it's your choice, but what i am trying to say is go out there and try it, you never know, the chance are you might actually like it. [/hide] I don't believe it's worth the combat level gain. I like to play things like clan wars and no summoning gives me an edge over my foes. At combat level 98 I will be 99 attack, 99 strength and 99 hitpoints. With, say, 80 summoning i'll be lvl 108. When i'm pking it's ok because the levels don't count but I wouldn't find getting destroyed by everyone my level in places like clan wars as fun. I'd be taking a big risk raising summoning. Risking my non-pking enjoyment. I would need to see evidence of the level of ownage a familiar could be so that I can see the risk and the hassle of raising summoning as worth it. So far no familiar has caught my eye. If it's a fighting familiar, your not gonna get one till pretty high lvls thats good. Anyway, enjoy being summon free , peace.

Why on earth would you use a torso in the GWD? I can understand wanting to hit higher, but the defence bonuses of verac's or torag's top far, far outweigh the tiny strength boost. It staggers me that someone at your level would make such a terrible choice in armour :shock: That'd be awesome suggestions if i actually liked barrows armour. I hate veracs and torags. As for the extra defence i 'loose' by choosing a torso, it's made up by the fact im high enough summoning to summon a unicorn. It can easily handle and extra damage i take due to my torso.

Im maxed melee, 95 slayer.. you really think i need to change my set-up for 0.6% faster kills or whatever? By the time you hit 99 prayer, the extra points you loose on 'speeded' up prayer drain rate dont even come into consideration. I won't change my gear, and i'll stick with my torso untill something similar comes out. Yes, similar as in you have to work for it. Also as a side note, I'll keep my finger warm with my serker ring, i refuse to use a wealth.

Wow coulda swore i just posted.... dang it for similar titles.. :ohnoes: Anyway, as i said in the other thread, my torsos are invaluable to me, i can't do without them. It's part of my main slayer gear, and part of my gear for just about everything else, even GWD. K3nny12 - owner of 2 torsos.
