I miss the old look of Barrows really. I remember seeing the armour sets page and just gaping at all the new pieces of gear. Leatherskirts? Chainskirts? Brassards? Chainmail robes?!@ Oh well, can't expect to have it forever. A very drunken Dungeonsweeper in one dungeon too many.

The idea of the Runespan isn't to camp monsters endlessly for essence. Surely if you'd read through this thread you'd have noticed the huge discussion over node spawn rates, their nerf, and the eventual fix, not to mention techniques to improve wizard hunting efficiency. This is how the Runespan was QA'd and how it was meant to be played, involving active decision-making in navigation to attain the best XP rates possible. If you're squatting at the double wraith spawn camping for points, then frankly you're settling for worse XP/hr and then complaining about bland gameplay. Run around the upper floor hunting undead souls and clearing them out, and maintain a well-stocked selection of runes to give to yellow wizards, and/or work with a chat channel on this, and I'm sure you'll find it more fun. Also the Runespan functions primarily as a training method and not for rune generation or whatever. Guess why? Because that's what was voted for last Runefest. Simple as that. Concepted as a training method, delivered as a training method. Nothing else to it, in the same way that you don't except to get logs from ivy or anything from Jadinko firemaking. Actual expansive content being worse than a randomly thrown in wheel? :rolleyes:

Except you're still crafting runes. Rune Essence + Typed Energy = Runes. It's the same as Runecrafting at Altars, except your energy is coming from nodal points or living sources instead of focused altars. 1800-1900 on the Double Soul wraith island, from what I've done. An earlier post mentioned that Bloods are better pts/hr though. I was wondering when this was going to make it to TIF. In a perfect world all skills would be valued equally, and I welcome this change which allows Runecrafting to be trained in a greater variety of ways. To call it the worst update ever is absurd hyperbole.

Seems like worlds that completed their Runesphere are experiencing this.

Didn't Mod Pi say that the intention was for players to be siphoning nodes about 75% of the time? Seems about right with that volume.

CCFs are never mind-twisting, they're just vaguely worded and/or poorly administered so that you think you've got the correct answer, but you don't. It's not like it damages the game or anything to have one though.

You need to learn the "just one more" tactic. At the end of each dungeon I'd look at my XP and go "Oh, I'll round off my XP to 100k", then after reaching that I'd be "Hey let's round off my XP left to 100k" and then "O I can get a 555,555 just for lulz" etc. Suddenly +700k XP.

I bought Rank 4 Esteem just for the heck of it. I bought Rank 10 just for lulz and suddenly this thing in my head clicked. Anyway I can't see myself using any of the other rewards, so all I'm probably gonna do is just get points for Esteem.

So that you can play D3/GW2 at the same time, of course :P I feel faint... Maybe they're planning some customisations to the wheel to make Yelps' pain even greater. There was a suggestion in the RSOF to convert the wheel into a torture rack/cross, so there's always potential for that. An interesting point, will they try to make the Dragon Kiteshield worthwhile and break the trend of Dragon items being largely cosmetic? Would have to think they would so the boss would be more appealing to fight, since if the drop is no more then a fancy dragon square shield, then the price will tank after the initial craze and be no point in wasting the brews on it. Doubt they're going to break a trend on this. It also makes me sad to think that we'll never see a pre-graphic update D kite.
