  1. Thanks. :) I kind of thought it might be a glitch but wasn't sure. Figured if it was that someone here would have experienced it too. The first day that it came out, I could not teleport inside my house. lol
  2. I'm having a construction problem on my other account. Lvl 40 construction, 2 full bedrooms and yet when I ring the service bell in the dining room, it tells me that this house has no servant. So I trudge over to Ardy and try to purchase a new one only to be told I already have one. So now what? Thanks in advance for any help. :) I appreciate it. \
  3. HOly COw! I got 803 in my , mage performance and 20070 in xp. that's never happened! I wore the clown hat, pants, shirt and those little dress shoes. I did diff emotes between including trick, flap, scary hand, zombie dance, bunny hop. There were more but I forget which ones. No costume reward for this. Agility I got 675 for perf and 708xp I drank agility pot for the event too which pushed my lvl from 53 to 56. No costume reward for this. Range 1027 performance 2062 xp - not as impressive as the magic but any xp is something! I ended up with the clown shoes as a reward after this. I also drank a range pot for this. The only thing I need yet is the ringmaster costume. I wish they'd let us put this stuff in our house.
  4. The age thing gets old fast! I'm 33yrs old and get picked at for it sometimes. W/e. The way I see it, my generation helped start the whole gaming thing. Where do those kids think they'd be w/out our old Atari's and C-64s? It's irritating sometimes to fish there cause all the young kids get nasty rude.
  5. I get that a lot - ppl wanting help. Yes, I'm going to drop what I am doing because they won't walk or tele to Ge and get their own supplies. Or check the map or whatever. Or they ask you a zillion times to help them with a quest that you really can't remember how to do - I tell them go to tip it and they act lost! :wall: Someone asked me once, if I'd just give them some yews. *Blink* Riiight. Hours of cutting and I'm going to give away yews. Funny. I hate when I'm down at the roaches and some high lvl (Sometimes it's lower ones too) comes over and takes my kill while I'm killing it. OMG Get your own!
  6. \ XP lamp. Although now that I can make nats, I might get the ess.
  7. I Rofl'd at that. But I don't see the point of unfiltering these words if you can just be reported for saying them. Unless... They want people to say them, be reported, and get banned to weed out players they deem unrefined and rude! I lol'd irl at that also, must remember to mention that to my ex-girlfriend. I actually thought of that, really a benefit of the uncensoring is the idiots who abuse the words are more likely to get caught, reported and muted. So really, this entire thing is win-win. I report people who use em stupidly on site. I hope Ill get mod eventually.... OT: roflmbo! OMG cracking up over that cat!!! mUaa haa haahaa. After reading some of this today, I logged in, tested some words. Still bummed I can't say poof. I'm not calling someone a poofter for crying out loud - let me say "Poof" I'm out of here or "I need to go the store and buy a new poof" *Rolls eyes* Up at the monks there was lots of talk about monkey nuts, licking monkey nuts...lol apparently those kids didn't need the new uncensored words.
  8. First scary moment was during fremmy trials I was like a lvl 67 and that troll scared me to death. I faught it with like 2 prayer pots left and no food. My sis and I were doing that quest together and we were both shaking. lol We were hooting and hollering in the end. The troll queen was by far scariest cause I went in w/out turning on prayer first and she nearly killed me. I teletabbed out and came back prepared! I think the one other scary time was at at the green dragons. Was a slayer task. Darn revs kept after me. My friend who took me had us in a non-chat world and I didn't know how to tell him I couldn't move or anything. I didn't know at the time that logging meant u loose your stuff. I logged to tell him I couldn't talk and lost everything I had at the time which was only full rune.
  9. Phone, address and school are great to have back. So many times I want to say go to this web address and can't. Or "I'm on the phone" I'm not sure if they could do this, but what I'd love to have is some kind of status marker like in msn messanger. Things like "Away", "Wc'ing". "Training Slayer" cause sometimes ya just want left alone while training and 10 ppl start talking to you while you're killing some big npc and if you don't respond right away they all get irked at ya. *Sigh* :wall:
  10. Nope. I'm content with RS. I've seen Wow and it just doesn't hold my interest the way RS does. :)
  11. \ Sign me up for da Belly Dancing emote plox!! Time period or no - great idea. :) =D>
  12. Rofl!!! I was adventurous once and went down that hole w/out runes to tele, a wep, armor - just cause I was curious. I went looking around at the adorable little moles all the while talking to a friend of mine who mentioned that there was a big one down there and be careful. Just then it walked over top my character. My heart dropped in my chest and i just left my character stand still thinking if I don't move it won't see me. Laughing my fool head off after it was over I tele lumby home cause my friend couldn't remember to tell me where the exit was. Duh! lol Ty for the article. Now I know what to do next time I get curious. ;)
  13. The most annoying of randoms or rather the one with the worst timing is the strange plant! While working on the puzzle in Monkey Madness I got the plant and just barely noticed it. In fact my sister saw first and yelled cause she was sitting there with me! Randoms that occur during combat are rather irritating. How am I supposed to click on the genie while I'm fighting a bronze dragon? I can't! and if it's that stupid frog random, you'll get teleported away if you can't answer. Well...how can I answer if I'm in the middle of combat! :wall: If they want to keep randoms (I think we're all agreed that the genie and school are the best ones) then they should only occur when a player isn't engaged in combat or concentrating on things like puzzles. Monkey, Ictharins, and Lunar especially. I agree with the writer of the article, 20gp rewards are a waste of time. If they are going to pull us away from training then make it worth being pulled away. I like the new articles. It's a nice break from training and gives me something else to think about and talk with my rl friends when we talk rs. =D>
  14. My favorite stressing moment was finally being able to cut mage. I worked night after night getting that level. Before that, when I was first time member, stumbling across the maples in Seers and then a magic tree for the first time. My first dragon ax was an awesome feeling. Next was when I bought my dragonchain. I might have been broke but man was I happy! Just recently I got 70 att so I ran out and bought a whip. The day or so before I finally got a d-scimmy. Sure, I could've fletched/strung all of those yews before I bought my whip but I didn't wanna wait and it is a game after all. as long as I'm having fun who cares. :) I'll get my 99's eventually. Although my next goal is to get 70def and 75 att. Then I can buy guthins and borrow my big sis's SS. \
  15. I want to achieve 99 wc. 99 Mining. Finish all achievement diaries. Get my cb above 100, and get as many quests done as possible. I'd like to also get each skill at least to 80 and be able to plant a mage tree. Oh and I want the air guitar! I'm only 100 and some songs away atm. \
  16. Maybe that is the real reason Jagex won't release that information. Too many of us would quit. If it's something you enjoy and it's not compromising your health and well being then it is not a waste of time. My friends and I take our laptops outside during the summer months when we can, and we sit outside and play - after a full day of swimming and running around of course. But when the game keeps you inside, away from friends and you survive on energy bars and gatorade - that's a problem.
  17. Wow - that's a stat I'd love to see. Not sure how it would encourage selling accounts - it'd probably just start the insults flying. I don't miss any tv at all cause my laptop is here in the living room. I have a 3.6GPA in college so that's not an issue either. I bet my playtime is around 2k and I've been playing for about a year and a half now. I don't consider my time on rs a waste at all. I feel that it is like everything in life - balance it and you're fine. If I wasn't playing RS I'd be playing some other pc game or console game. This for me is relaxing - and after hitting the books for hours I think I deserve a lil' game time. :-) There was a small period of time where the first thing I HAD to do was log in right away every morning. Took me about a week to realize that was a bad habit starting. So I changed my routine. No worries.
  18. Same here. It's not that appealing to me yet, but I am sure I'll give it a couple of tries.
  19. Runescape has done a lot of good in our family. It has brought together family members that otherwise didn't have much in common. I have one friend who lost 30lbs because she was finally happy in her life. The friends and fun she had on Runescape replaced the bad eating habits. She changed her diet to healthy food - so sitting at the computer isn't a big deal. Snacking on carrots is much better than chips. And boy does it show! If it weren't for Runescape, my sister and I would never have reconnected with each other. We're much happier as a family. We even make 'Quest Nights' at each other's houses. Our kids play with us and it's just a lot of fun. Of course dad rolls his eyes at us but that's ok. lol I have to admit, sometimes I'm a bit lazy with chores cause I wanna play - so I've dicaplined myself to do chores and assignments first - then Rune. It's a game - not my life. But heck with gas prices and such - I can't afford to go out. So staying in for 5$ a month is So worth it. My kids have learnt how to manage money and work hard for things they want. I don't feel that any game play is bad as long as one takes care of themselves. Eat healthy, take breaks, sit and type properly - moderate game play with the friends in your reality world and life should be fine. \ Oh and when it's super nice out like today - I'm outside online. It's really nice. Just have to watch position of screen with the sun because of glare.
  20. 8-) Cool! 15 family members. Do you all ever sit together and play? OT: are you going to see the new Star Wars when it comes out on the 15th?
  21. I'd quit if they took away free chat - because how would we clown around at mages then? Other than that - only if they stopped making the game available would I quit. There isn't another game I find more enjoyable besides GTA and RCT that would pull me away from RuneScape. Hee hee - it's good to relax with after a long night of college studies.
  22. satrianisaxe wrote: Well, I can say that three generations of my family play! My son (15) started playing first and introduced both me (40) and MY Dad (67!). Needless to say my Dad being retired is now much higher level then the two younger NOOBS!!! Think he is combat 110 now! (90Att, 90Str, 90 Def, 92 HP!). Always makes me laugh when my Dad and I get asked "B my bf?" HA! We aren't the only ones. I'M SOOOOO glad you replied! I'm 32 and I play. My three children play, my nephew plays, my mom and mother in law play, and my husband plays every now and then. OH and the girl here at work - she plays now too. Even gonna become a memb soon. And yeah, mom in law is higher than all of us cause she can play more. I have college right now and I'm busy with becoming a software engineer so not a lot of time to play.
  23. I have four homepages. lol Saves time. So in the following order I have... Univ. of Phoenix - cause I'm in college RuneScape TipIt WHTM <-- local news station so I can check the weather. \
