Hey guys, I've been bored in RS lately because I mainly did soulwars, So I decided to do something different like bosses. Now I've heard lots about people Solo maging Rex, and how hard it can be with Prime and how to lure and stuff. So I've been wondering, does any of you know a good up-to date guide? Or perhaps is someone even willing to teach me how to? Also, is it true that you need 3 people to enter?

Try superheating, not aware of the prices of coal and mithril/steel right now, but it used to be a very cheap way

What would be the most effective way to go from 61 to 75 crafting? Money doesnt matter very much, but I would rather not spend very much money on it Thx :thumbsup:

Mine mine mine in the living rock caverns =) you could also superheat while mining, so you get your magic and smithing up :thumbsup: gold is around ~40k hour for me =) edit: you have 99 magic and smithing... sorry xD

I would personally go for 99 mage, but i barely range. 99 mage for magic defence, and you have all the spells (spellbook swap, vengeance)

You could also buy a samsung spinpoint F3, Friends of mine have them, and they say it is great. It also isnt expensive (around 60 euros) For perfomance/price ratio I would definately advice this one

I manage to get the most rocks in wildy, (around 700/800 K/Hour) heroes guild is a disaster for rune mining (thats how I experience it at least) However, Wildy is risky

So it is true that it will only get worse and my hdd just started to die? Also, how can I avoid this in the future?

Windows 7 has been giving me a warning that I should backup my documents because my hdd had some problems, So I ran HD tune. After scanning my HDD it says that my reallocated sector count failed. Sites on the internet say that when you have this your HDD wont last long anymore. However, on all these sites the counts were at least 100+, And my current is 2 it says. my worst is also 2, treshold 36 and data 4015 As I only have my pc half a year, It still has garancy. So should I return it now I still have garancy, Or take the risk of getting it crashed when my garancy is expired?

Although, I did log in at Easter so I could do the quest and get me some squirrel ears. I've only gained 35k xp in the last few months. So I'm still quite a ways off of my ultimate goal, and still 300k off of level 96. The HD graphics update made things look very excellent, and I can't wait to try out Dungeoneering. I'm a little torn between trying it out for a bit and keeping my plan to get 99 Mining and overall 900 at the same time. 4k away from 96, When i reach 96 I think I'n gonna go to the bank, grab a fire staff, some nats and gold smithing gaunts and superheat till 99 mining... But my cashpile would stay at ~40 mill in that case, because I dont profit from superheating gold, even if I mine my own right?

I do string amulets if your lazy and are not into combat to much Well Yea it would be time consuming But you would lose less overall, Plus superheating + string amulets would make great xp. Like i said on another post its the astral runes that are gonna be your major problem unless you rune craft them its gonna get expensive Amulets unstrung and strung sell and resell for about the same price on the ge, (currently doing it atm) so if you do your time consuming things the astral runes shouldnt put a dent in ur pocket like it is mine on Bursting Go to the forums General guide or even Archive of wisdom theres wonderful guides there I am kinda lazy actually xD But wouldn't all the charms be a big advantage? I believe it was string jewelerry with which I could get 99 for ~50 mill how far would bursting get me with 50 mill? (don't know the average xp/cast)

Which would be the best for me? Stringing amulets or bursting rock lobs? I could also superheat the gold ores I wil get from 99, make them into amulets and string them, or would this be too time consuming? And are there any guides out there for bursting/barraging lobs?

Haven't thought of that yet... But I suppose it will only be useful for karil?

Are there any uses for the bandos godsword besides pvp and gwd? Because I don't pvp and my stats arent high enough for Gwd I know It's not effective for slayer or training, but it just looks so mighty :) So what do you guys think? Is it worth it if I dont pvp/gwd? If yes, which useful uses has it?

While you're achieving your 99 mining goal, you could always do flipping/investing (I prefer flipping) to increase your cash pile. I'd say with around 30-40m start up cash you could make 0.5-1M, hardly trying. Simply go to the GE, place your offers. Once they buy, put them up for sale (for a higher price, obviously) and you've got around 4 hours or so to go mine. I know people are wary of trying to flip over the GE, but it's very easy to do as long as you pick commonly traded items, e.g. Barrows, Dragon Bones, Runes, Ores, Bars, Dragon Boots, Dragon Platelegs...etc. Just buy them a few gp under medium and sell for over medium. For advice on good flipping items, you can always go to 'Rune Tips Cc'. They are very friendly and helpful, and are NOT a manipulation clan of any sort. This should increase your budget considerably. I'm not sure how much 55M can get you to in terms of Magic XP through bursting due to no experience in the subject myself, but I'm sure it would get you fairly high (90+). I never did this before, but might give it a try So, for example it works like this? I have an item on G.E with med. price 10, min price 5, and max price 15 I buy the item for 7gp, and sell it overnight for 13 gp? Btw, thanks for your help so far ^^
