  1. Get Summoning for sure. Only problem is that it will take way longer because your charm count is negligible.
  2. I'd use it on RC. Although its a bit faster than Slayer if you ZMI, it's definitely more boring and more repetitive, while Slayer is more rewarding. RC.
  3. Superglass-make is cast much quicker, and although it is not faster, it's off by 10k-20k, but that is easily offset by the fact that you will PROFIT and you will ALWAYS PROFIT and you will profit a CONSIDERABLE amount. Would you rather have 100k xp/hour + a decent pile of cash, or 120k xp/hour and loss of ~500k? If you want to look at it mathematically, you would need to have an income of over 2.5m in order for String Jewelry to be better than Superglass-make Burst/Barrage is a not a whole lot more expensive. I think it number was 6-7 gp/xp compared to 3-5 gp/xp. Honestly I'd rather get fast 20k faster xp per hour and lose 500K, because making money isn't as boring as superglass-make. In the end, it all comes down to preference.
  4. Agreed, don't use Ruby (e). I recommend 75+ Range, 70+ Def, and at least 55-60 Prayer for a good chance in the caves. With those stats, the only thing standing between you and a fire cape is mental preparedness. And gear.
  5. Merchanting takes alot of trial/error to get a hang of it. I've merched for my money since I had 1M, and now have well over 100M and merchant experience over some billionares in my Merch Clan (We don't manipulate items... Band of legit 100m+ merchants). If you want to just make money, using Manipulation Clans to your advantage is a great idea. If you want to learn how to solo, the GE database and RS updates are a great friend. If you're quick, you can take advantage of RS updates. If an update to BH drops comes out or is expected, you can count on PKing supplies to get a little bit inflated. If you see an item reaching it's 20-day bottom from natural movements, you can count on it bouncing up.
  6. Fishing cape is respectable. And @above, I'd definitely rather take RC/Slayer/Agil/Farm over a Fire Cape. Anyday.
  7. All of the locations are easy to access by other means, so if you want to plant them for XP, do it at Draynor if you do herb runs, or Brimhaven if you do tree runs. If you do both, it doesn't really matter. Brimhaven is the hardest to reach out of them all. Etceteria can be accessed with Fairy Rings. Draynor can be accessed through Glories (Mounted in house is useful) and Lumby Ring. Brimhaven is accessed through having a house there or tele to ardy then take the ship. Best option.
  8. Well, I have a AGS and I wouldn't use it for rushing. I can 2hit people potted over 99 HP on occasion in the duel arena with void and just 94 str/86 attack. I think it works, but D Claws are the best option. Lower requirements, more consistent specials, and cheaper. 50 Attack pures should rush the G Maul (Probably only good if you have ancients) 60 Attack pures and everyone else rush with Claws, hands down, accept no substitutes (DDS can be outeaten if you dont get double 20+'s 2 or 3 times in a row)
  9. It depends what you're aiming for. Profits, you'll want to Tank, as you can stay there indefinitely. XP, you'll want Pray because you'll kill faster with prayer and higher range attack.
  10. If money isn't a concern, I think that Magic is one of the fastest 99's. Plus, Summoning has the fastest XP/hour rate for a skill in the game, assuming charms/materials are already banked. Other than that, Thieving, is the fastest, followed by Cooking and Fletching.
  11. I don't have a problem with people who get 99 Fletch/Cook/FM just for the sake of having a skillcape. But honestly, those noob capes ARE NOT better than other capes. In terms of prestige, I don't rank a "easy" cape any higher than Obby/Legends Cape. I'll say it right now - I have no skillcapes and when people walk up to me saying "Dood ur 116 with no 99's, ur a looser", I laugh if they have an "easy" SC, because they really aren't much better than me. I think that this is all a matter of valuing your own achievements. I, personally, prefer to walk around with a Obby Cape instead of getting an easy cape as my first 99. Btw, Strength the most common 99 skill in the game, with nearly 100k players having it. Does that make it a noob cape?
  12. If I ever had to fight someone with that setup, I would either a) teleport or B) just take off armor and let him kill me. But I think that if you compare Torag's max slash def setup (around +350 or +400 I think? Not sure) to this, you could get a good estimate if you account for that +100 more.
  13. I prefer Bandos. Thats what I use, anyway. I make up for it by using a stole instead of a Fury, so I still get good prayer bonus and good strength bonus. 5 minutes isn't enough for a valid test, because of the luck factor. But I think it puts things in perspective. If you pot, the Void will perform better, but not enough to outshoot Proselyte/Bandos. Did you restore your prayer during the test? Because the advantage of Proselyte is that you restore prayer less and thus have more time for training.
  14. Its pretty limited. Not too many people use the specials. Zamorakian Spear is used mostly for its stab attack, but the special has a 25% drain as opposed to the D Spear's 100%. And I think it can be poisoned...
  15. I lend my AGS nightly because I have alot of junk leftover from my days with 3rd Age before the crash. I usually find that any junk that is "floored" in the GE is 100% good junk. Maple Longbow (u) is the best junk. Some other tactics I see is that Rune things that are floored/crashing/don't sell usually work anyway. Especially with an AGS, because I get the lend pretty fast, and my lendees are in a rush. They usually think "Oh, its rune, I can sell this!", so they go for it. In truth, most rune does sell at min after a while, so it isn't too bad. Poisoned things are usually good too. Low volume-high value junk that doesn't drop too often.
  16. Good point...it is only two more essence, but it's still more experience at the cost of seconds, unless your bank is a mess or you're just not quick with clicking. I'm a pretty fast Graahker, and my bank is pretty neat. But with my pouch setup, the extra banking/emptying/filling time isn't worth it to me. My aim is for the max nats crafted, not max XP rate. The ZMI is better for that. The small pouch helps if you make short chunks of runs (maybe 1k-3k pure ess buy/craft/sell portions) but with the bigger amounts, the extra seconds add up to more than the 2 essence provides.
  17. I thought only the accuracy went down with the charges? Hmm, I'm not sure, it might. I know that the Range Attack goes down every charge lost, but it does seem weird that I can hit so high with such low charge. Even if it is only the accuracy, that makes it just as inefficient. Your effective shot count (shots that do damage) will get lower and lower and the charges will go down just as fast. I still prefer it anyway.
  18. For Range, I'd say to go with either A) Ranging Slayer, will take a while longer than other options cause you shouldn't range EVERYTHING, B) Bronze Knives on Yaks, cheap and works alright, or C) Ranging Blue/Green Dragons and make money. For Mage, Diamond Bolt Enchanting is good on a lower budget. However, I'd reccomend Ice Bursting Rock Lobsters. If you stack them up good, it could be very cheap.
  19. ZMI is the best after 50. You'll lose a bit of money, but the quickness of the XP will let you start breaking even soon. I personally am not a big fan of ZMI, because I'd rather make money and earn less XP. When I do ZMI, I found that the quickest way to make runs is to bring pouches and Lunar Teleports, as well as mass amounts of a cheap rune. I bring 10K fires (never really use them all before I run out of ess though). I also use Terrorbirds for run energy, but you could try using a Lurker/Parasite instead. With the new Run Energy updates and high agility, you probably won't need too many energy pots, plus they're really cheap.
  20. When I hit 75 RC (just 2 levels to go, whee), I'll leave the Small Pouch, because I Graahk RC. Graahking has the maximum effect if you be as efficient as possible. In the long run (I buy/craft 20k essence at a time), the time you save by ditching the small pouch adds up to multiple full runs. One thing to remember is that the small pouch allows for 2 more essence. It holds 3, but the normal inventory space is 1 ess right there. So 2 essence in exchange for wasted banking time? No thanks.
  21. I wouldn't suggest merchanting... If you aren't experienced, you're bound to alot before you make any. If you want to get into merchanting, you'll want to start with ALOT more money so you have a cushion of loss. Either that or have an experienced merchant share items with you... Which probably won't happen. I think your best shot is RCing (if you're 44 and have 57 summon). If not, you could collect Snape Grass using Lunar Teleports, good money there... Thats really all I'm willing to share of my money techniques.
  22. I'd say its a bad idea. You can make money and get quicker XP at Armored Zombies, or just go to Ankou and get XP along with better money. Soul Wars, I'm not sure that its faster XP, but i do know that Armored Zombies is the fastest in the game. Also, Soul Wars isn't consistent. If you lose, you're getting 1/3 of your potential XP.
  23. Crystal Bow, I love it, but the degrading gets a bit annoying, because you lose power quickly. Even at a 180k Recharge rate, it's still more expensive than Rune C'bow and Broad Bolts (assuming you use Accumulator). If you don't use an Accumulator, go with Crystal. It's more convenient until, of course, it runs out of charges. I still hit into the low 20's with a 1/10 Bow (not under your circumstances though).
  24. For the Rogue's Castle invisible portal, I believe that you need 60+ Thieving to get the XP, because I'm 55 Thief and I wasn't allowed to get the XP. I didn't think about submitting this until after i did it, so I took a screenshot while in rogues castle and the message in my box, with my Thieving level showing. Here it is:
  25. I think that players need a little more variety. The two major melee weapons that everyone uses: - Whip - Godsword Those two are the most popular. That's basically all I see. Sometimes you'll see a Sara sword or D scim for str training, but thats it. We need a difficult-to-obtain item that has variety. Similar to godswords. Except here, we need weapons that are similar to Fire Cape, and come differently, like godswords. For example, say the new weapon would be a 'X'. X is difficult to obtain, very rare. It is still tradable though. Once you finish the minigame or quest or whatever, you're presented with 4 options of what type of X you want. Each X has a different special that is powerful, but still equal.
