I like it but it's a little hard to tell the n's from the m's, thus making it harder to read.

I like it, 8/10. I'm not too crazy about the font, and I think that a different border would look better.

We all need to start somewhere and I think it's good you started with something simple rather than trying the most complicated thing out there and then feeling bad because you didn't succeed as well as you had expected. Like the others said, in the future you may want to try making an abstract background, also try fooling around with the image and text effects! :D

I like it but I can't tell what the picture in the background is and the font is a little hard to read when it's that colour.

I like the angel (except for the red face and glowing eye bits). I think it would look better if it had an abstract background (something similar to the one in my sig or like what Maladrin does), and maybe a change of font. Oh, and stick a border on it. But that's just the way I would like to see it... You may have a different taste. :)

I think the shadow shading is a bit off. It looks like a horizontal wind of dust came blowing by or something. :)
