  1. Your fault for world hopping in the wilderness, world hop in a safe area and you will be fine. You hopped worlds and abandoned other people, you shouldn't have hopped in-case people needed help. The policy is that if you can't find a taxi then you should world hop before running back to edge, as its likely that pkers set up camp just south of the most recent world to get easy kills. Also, to above, I know that it's just frustrating with how many chats there are that even though I clearly had the setup almost everyone has for warbands I was still considered a threat a few squares from Edgeville when the warbands hadn't started. Lesson learned, I will go more west or east rather than charge as a white dot straight into the thick of the group, the size and disorganization is simply becoming apparent.
  2. I'm not digging how the different chats set up by warband pk is making people who should be cooperating turn against eachother. Case in point, I was running back from ELM share and switched to the next world. Then, as I was approaching Edgeville attempting to get into the fc, someone clearly in that chat pked me. Also the pkers have gotten more brazen as the anti-pkers have grown too thin across multiple chats.
  3. I don't mind the color clues because they are at least easily recognizable, but when they say ,"their top was a different style" I just want to choke them. No one caaaaaaares (colors are usually too garish to be considered fashionscaping).
  4. We get it, he looks native to you, no reason to be racist about it. Btw, if you cared at all the traditional housing of the Sioux are tipis not wigwams.
  5. [/hide] The banner and helm work fine together, it seems like there's certain other worn items that are causing it to freak out. Very peculiar--I've seen it on lots of other people but mine is completely fine. I guess I don't wear popular stuff. There are also a lot of items that make your overall character appearence brighter or darker when equipped. I think Fury is one. Also, not gunna quote a specific post, but can we really class Armadyl and Saradomin, BOTH as lawful good? Events after TWW portray Saradomin as a colosal [wagon], and Armadyl as a legitimate lawful good. Saradomin seems far to ready to [bleep] over those following him to get what he wants, and then should needs be, to go outside of a "lawful" way, to get what he wants. Question, where does he screw over his own followers? I mean he's an ass, yeah, but as long as everyone does what he expects he seems to be ok. Remember: lawful good does not mean lawful nice.
  6. I think Zaros is more Black Blue than Black White, he seems a lot more like Lazav, Dimir Mastermind than Obzedat. Dimir works in secrecy and not everyone knows they exist, they work behind the scenes to pull the strings. On the other hand Orzhov operates front and center with they're church, and they're just corrupt in the way they run.
  7. Where are you reading Sioux from, his skin color/clothes in the concept art? In game he's more pale, and honestly through his dialogue he strikes me as a nomadic barbarian.
  8. I think they had more of a wasted opportunity in Saradomin. Zamorak went from basically a god of evil to a god of progress through hardship, and defines chaos as both instability and opportunity. He has evil methods but a good goal. Then you have Saradomin and order, where you could expect the same kind of depth, right? Have it so that he represents both stability and tyranny? NOPE LET'S MAKE HIM A PAPER-THIN CHRISTIAN STRAWMAN LOLOL :wall: I mean, come on. The guy has been one of the major three gods for the game's entire history, and they made him about as one-dimensional as the chaotic stupid Bandos. I wasn't actually planning on siding with him (Armadyl! And maybe Seren if Big Bird gets his goals retconned a la Guthix and Saradomin!), but I kind of expected better. This is supposed to be a conflict with multiple well-developed sides, isn't it? They really do need to give him more nuance, I honestly think he could be a good example of Light is not Good. Thinking in terms of broad MTG color definitions Saradomin - White Zamorak - Seems to be more pure red now, had some black tendencies in the past Bandos - Red Green Black Zaros - Blue Black Seren - Green White Armadyl - Blue White Sliske - ??? He's either a Red Herring or the lore about him we got here is a tease.
  9. They have the bandos and zaros colors mixed up on that map, that or apparently the ogres of Oo'glog are very secretive of their worship of the Empty Lord. Speaking of which, I'm considering following Seren instead, though I'm doing the tasks for Zaros (Not that it matters); not digging the whole fascism vibe. That was there before, but it seems much more blatent now with this bunch of new lore, Seren just seems the most caring about us mortals.
  10. Huh, just did this for the first time today. Much easier than I thought it would be for 300k farm exp, only annoying thing was a bit of a wait time. I'm kinda sad I didn't push myself to do this before, but oh well better late than never.
  11. Except that it's members only, because apparently jagex wanted to be sure that it would be dead content within a week. I actually meant to say new instead of free, but yeah that still sucks. Do new people still get two weeks of mems for free? If so this should be the top priority.
  12. Looks solid to me. I like that free players will get a cheap way of getting those first pray lvls. Farming update sounds pretty cool, new lore will be interesting, and cleaning up the way bonus exp works...well it will help them I assume. Nothing game changing but not every month has to be, just wish there was a quest.
  13. Armadyl's page = Página de Armadyl in spanish. "Armadyl Página" makes absolutely no sense in spanish. It would be the equivalent of saying house white or ball bouncy in English, it may make searching a particular database easier but translation is more about immersion and feeling at ease in one's native tongue rather than ease of use.
  14. I don't speak Spanish AT ALL, but don't you think it'd probably be better for Armadyl (and other names) to be the first word in the titles of items, for ease of finding them? Good thing you don't speak spanish at all... good lord... Dios mio...
  15. As Juna says, it lies in the juxtaposition of opposites. Sounds like its annoying in a similar way to tears so tht seems right.
  16. If that's the case, I want the current ports armour convertable into either kind :S. EDIT: misread.
  17. So that's where they've been putting all of the puns...
  18. Finally got shambling lair after sending out 5 voyages at >65%. Upgrading crew is very slow but I'm almost at full testu and death lotus scrolls, will start on soup before ss.
  19. Because if they didn't the GE would go from h/c x2 spam land to egg x2 spam Just make the outcome predictable instead of random.
  20. 2 thoughts: about damn time, and why did they have to kill the other Easter ring colors?
  21. Seems like the idea was that there was no point to perfection if nobody could appreciate it. Guthix's goal was for those he brought over to live peacefully in that perfect world. ...Which made me realize that the backstory basically has no wars except for those caused by the gods. I'm fine with them having that overall message (A lot of my favorite games have done the same), but they're really shoving the whole "gods are evil" thing down our throats. :wall: I think their idea of "gods" is a lot closer to the ancient judeo-Christian idea of a powerful being ruling over one tribe, rather than an omnipotent divine creator. If you're looking for something like that the elder gods are a lot more appropriate. Though, to be fair, they are pushing the idea that gods with more dubious agendas push themselves as omnipotent saviors is a touch anti-religious. Nothing new though, happens a lot in D&D and such.
  22. I got 90 rc for occultist not too long ago, did there'd her mission and have not seen her since. Do all of her story missions appear when she comes by no matter what region you're focusing on?
  23. Personally the only thing I have against unreachable high level items is when they have a unique ability incomparable to the lower tiers. That was why torva+divine was such a brutal combo back in the day compared to the norm, the life boost and damage reduction were abilities that the lower classes simply had no access to. Now life boost is on every piece of armor so that's not as big of a deal. Really the only things I'm miffed about is the nex armor damage boost and the fact that drygores transcend the combat triangle, besides that I'm ok with a slightly worse but similar item if it means I can invest money into my skills rather than my gear. Apologies for any typos, on my phone.
  24. Ok, I get what you're saying about TWW and the 6th age not being one and the same, not sure I totally agree with it but I get it. That's not what I was going after initially though, what I don't understand is how I could do things after this quest, or because of this quest, in order to unlock things that are vital to the quest. Let's take Firemaker's Curse for an example, we don't need to do it to play TWW but Char still shows up regardless. That's fine if it's possible you could have woken her before and choose not to, but what if you use one of the 100k reward lamps to get 74 firemaking; that means that you used rewards that hinge on a quest being completed in the past at some point in order to unlock that same quest in the present that you must have already beaten...
