You'll have to give him the benifit of the doubt though Das. It's alot easier to blame a single person than all the people who had the lower offers or the whole system so they choose to go for him. Also I'm sure if he did it he would be punished at work because I highly doubt Jagex supports such behavior. Mod Mat K would not be able to access the grand exchange like that to change prices. That's not his job. He's just a public relations mod. Besides, I doubt any mod would change anything on their own.. that's now how Jagex works. And to think a mod would is stupid.. this is their jobs. I'm sure they take things seriously when needed.

This thread has been explosive because it's the first interesting, debate-worthy topic to come up in quite awhile. :P I just can't understand how people can applaud a Jmod for having manipulated an item price to lash out at price-manipulating clans. The hypocrisy is stunning, and it's not even the manipulating players' fault; they're merely a product of a flawed system. This quote comes to mind in regard to the Jmod's actions: First off, we still don't know if Jagex did anything. I highly doubt if they did it was works of Mod Mat K. If you look him up he's just a community management worker.. His job is public relations. Of course, he's witty and has a somewhat crude sense of humor so he's not doing the best of job in the eyes of those who want answers. Secondly, you're right. Let's say Jagex did do this, they should either do it to all things being merched by clans now, issue a new rule, or something. Random attacks against the clans are silly and childish.

Why haven't they done that already? But if they do How can they prove you are with someone and not a solo merchant? They would just have to go in merchanting clan chats and look at who's there.. Definitely not as explosive. At least we're having a decent conversation and most of us are not bashing Mod Mat K or Jagex.

Tip.it is by far worse. Compare the clan chats 'Runescape' and 'Forsakenmage', you'll quickly find out that everybody here think they know everything. What group uses 'Runescape' clanchat?

I highly recommend buying their DVD "Generation Lost". It's just like a documentary about the band and fans. Really funny and shows how down to earth the dudes are. I believe you can find it on YouTube as well.

For the uninformed sure, I do a large majority of my buying when an item crashes, raw armor and raw materials especially materials will almost always go up. That's great that you're informed and smart. But the average player isn't.

My middle school had a problem with sexual harassment due to a few stupid students doing stupid things (nothing really bad, but definitely harassing). Rules were then implemented by the police officer who was also the DARE officer and just a guy that always helped the school. They were no hugging, no touching, and no high fives. He was trying to make the point that harassment is serious stuff. Of course he went too far. I mean, his reason for no high fives was "you could miss and hit feminine body parts". It was ridiculous.

Well we do know who wrote it, and where they supposedly got their information. But I agree, superstition has no place in government. Also, religion has no place to interfere with people's rights. It doesn't matter who wrote it, but who edited it. Agreed.

Funny to you is not cool to me, What was done defies GE logic. Grand Exchange was put in place by Jagex not to be manipulated by a few to upset many. t was put into place to stop RWT. It achieved that. The irony is, it made it much easier for trading to be abused before as you couldn't facelessly buy out tons of one good and cause prices to skyrocket. However Capitalism was deemed inappropriate so I have no issues with people with money, using it to buy an item in hopes to resale it for a profit. I'm surprised a merchanting clan makes the secret investment public in the clan chat anyway. Now on a non related economics note, I miss the "Ruined" economy macro prices where everyone could level and profit by alching. But hey thats me I should be able to put my money into items with the sole intention of being able to sell them later for a profit. After all, If my GP is sitting in my bank, it's doing me no good. Do any of you guys sell/buy stocks who are complaining? I do agree. But the difference between you and me going to make a profit off of an item, and a whole clan dumping an item has a different result.
