  1. Jagex's policy is to censor ill advised language to keep the game clean. Sounds like a good marketing plan to me. You can say anything you want on Wii Wi-Fi, Xbox Live, and whatever the Playstation thing is. Each one of those brings in more money than Jagex. No one is going to quit (ok, no significant group will) because Jagex changed their censor to the same censor their local newspaper is using. I disagree about the entire "keep the little kids safe" thing. Come on. You must be 13 or older to play this game. If you lie about your age, you get no sympathy. Simple as that. It's like pures who want Jagex's quest requirements to stop including prayer. Sorry but you blent the rules in your favor, you suffer. I don't care about keeping kids safe. I care about how annoying it would be seeing silly swear words every time I log into Runescape. The fact is kids younger than thirteen do play, and kids younger than thirteen (and older) have a very limited vocabulary. Allow cursing, and it will be ridiculous.
  2. Hawk. And you might want to separate by letters. Mad hard to read.
  3. Some people don't like combat, and really like skills. So the cool thing to do is to show your dedication to just skilling by having a level 3. Yeah, this limits what they can do in the game. But so does being a high level f2p player, versus paying for membership. People do what they want. It's a game.
  4. People either want fast xp, or good cash. They should not, and do not come together when skilling.

  7. We are number three when searching for "Runescape. Here be spam.
  8. [hide=] This is as close as I could find in the KB concerning the GE: I know it seems weak, but the statement implies that price manipulation is against their policies. Furthermore, it also states that Jagex reserves the right to step in and intervene at their discretion. They used to have a stronger stance about price manipulation posted in the forums before the GE came out (where most market activity took place at that time), but my guess is that Jagex saw the GE as some perfect, flawless system that is was no longer needed to warn players about price manipulation. Today, Jagex's position is very confusing because there's a lot of murky water here. While I don't agree with the merchant clans practices, I can also understand their anger. Nobody has proven that limpwurt prices were deliberately changed, but if they were then it shows cowardice. I have a hard time believing that one lone mod would risk his career to change prices in a video game. However, if Jagex is frowning upon price manipulation then they need to just come out and say it. Whatever their position is, they need to make it clear and public. Jagex has ignored this argument far too long, and now there's going to be angry players no matter what side they take. [/hide] Well there you have it. Jagex has said they would interfere if they feel it is being manipulated. There is no rule against manipulation, but they will interfere "as a last resort".
  9. Thanks and the site is http://www.scape-xp.com but today they changed the way they presented personal highscores bye bye charts :x :( Awh haha.

  11. I felt that these articles were really good. Compared to the last couple weeks where I felt they were just run-on rants poorly organised. Mod edit: removed quote.
  12. Which is what we have now...and always will have until they age or die from eating the stuff under the sink. Actually, we don't. We have a censor so I don't have to listen. Now if every little kid decides to use this method of starring out letters, then we will have a game full of ten year olds cursing.
  13. Sorry, I don't feel like playing a game full of ten year olds cursing..
