  1. I'm funny, smart (except in math), well-mannered, and often disregard schoolwork to do my own things. I love languages, I collect flags (I have close to or over 100), I love YouTube, I'm a Conservative Libertarian, if I don't stay in the US, I'd like to move to Uruguay or Argentina, and I love geography (I know all the flags and capitals of the world and other useless information).
  2. Or you could've used the word Anti-Semitism, it may have summed up your opinion quicker. The Holy Land is as much Jewish as it is Christian as it is Muslim. America is helping their friends in Israel against regimes that want to blow them off the face of the world. Europe would do good to push away their recent anti-semitic inclinations and help their Jewish friends. Their Jewish friends have been there for Europe in tough times and in good times. The Danes know this, they saved 7000 of them. Or they did know this. What America should do is stop policing Israel so much with regards to their policy and let them use those nuclear weapons in Iran. I don't think Iran will be a bully when a nuclear weapon is aimed over Tehran.
  3. I didn't include N. Ireland because I was under the impression Ireland wanted nothing to do with it, not with violence the way it is in Belfast. And I don't support the independence of Palestine and Chechnya because they will become terrorist harbouring states like Pakistan. Remember the brilliant idea to make Pakistan a country? Now we're paying for it, and we don't need anymore of these terrorist-abetting states. Also, Chechnya is full of militant terrorists, the Russian army has done deplorable things, but so have Chechen militiants. Why grant independence to states with such uncertain and militant futures?
  4. For those who know something on this topic, I'd like to hear your position on certain independence movements (and divided regions) around the world. We'll start with none other than... Kosovo- Palestine- Chechnya- South Ossettia- Abkhasia- Tibet- Quebec- Scotland- Wales- Basque Country- Taiwan- And finally...Belgium- Other less known movements: Transnistria- Western Sahara- Nagorno-Karabakh- Crimea- Jammu and Kashmir- Kurdistan- Here are my opinions: Kosovo- I do not support the independence of Kosovo in any way. Palestine- I do not support the independence of Palestine in any way. Nor its current position of having an UN ambassador. Chechnya- I do not support the independence of Chechnya (or Ingushetia) in any way. South Ossettia- I do not support the independence of South Ossettia, and would like to see them choose between Russia or Georgia. Abkhasia- I'm very skeptical on independence, but not ruling it out. I would also like to see them choose between Russia and Georgia. Tibet- I disagree with the means they took to protect their country. I wouldn't support their independence unless they grew some balls and took on China militarily. Quebec- I would fully support the independence of Quebec. Although it would be weird to see Canada split in two. Scotland- Perhaps, I don't know. Wales- Perhaps, I don't know. Basque Country- I would fully support the independence of the Basque Country. Taiwan- I would fully support the independence of Taiwan. And finally...Belgium and Brussels- I would like to see attempts go forward on a unified Belgium. If the country so does decide to split, I'd only support Brussels going to the Flemish. Other less known movements: Transnistria- I do not support the independence of Transnistria in any way. Western Sahara- I really don't know, probably not, but I have no idea. Nagorno-Karabakh- I support Azerbaijan in its attempts to keep the region. If I had to make another decision, then I'd like to see it as a region of Armenia, but never an independent country. Crimea- I might support the independence of Crimea. I'd love to see them join Russia if it was logical. Jammu and Kashmir- I support India in its attempts to keep the state, unless both India and Pakistan somehow agree on the current LOC. Kurdistan- I don't see an unified Kurdish state as any possibility in the near future. And while I would like to see more autonomous stable regions like that in Northern Iraq, I would fear relations with Turkey and the PKK.
  5. I am referring to events, whereas that thread refers to gifts.
  6. It is of no surprise to anyone the approchment of Christmas. It is, of course, a time of great delight and enjoyment, but I cannot help but preoccupy myself with thoughts of the make-up of which I desire myself to partake in this Christmas. And as I write this and wonder, I also am curious if I may pose such a question to you as well. So what are your hopes, wishes, plans for this joyous of occasions? And if it so crosses your mind the question of the reason for why I am speaking like this, I cannot give you one but tell you that I am enjoying quite an odd disposition at this very moment.
  7. I know some Serbian, and it's basically all the same. Serbo-Croatian + Bosnian.
  8. "We Brits turn into pumpkins at midnight." The sentence is funny on its own, but apparently it has a hidden meaning to Brits. If it does, can a Brit elaborate?
  9. The difference between marriage and civil unions. A Civil Union is so called, and can be or does not have to be recognised by a church (should you wish to hold your ceremony there). There is little difference except the fact that a Civil Union is not called a Marriage. I don't care about Gay Marriage, it's a huge distraction filled with tons of controversy, whereas Civil Unions are no where near as controversial, and they offer the same rights as a marriage. I don't understand why people are fighting for marriage in a state where there are Civil Unions, when there are states without Civil Unions.
  10. Here's a gay guy's opinion on the recent developments in California. The people voted, the court has no right to turn it over. Gay Marriage is an issue I don't discuss, I consider it third-rail (but then again, I consider abortion third-rail). But as a gay man, I would be perfectly fine with Civil Unions with the same rights and adoption rights. Gay activists should be working in every state for Civil Union rights, rather than worrying about marriage. I wouldn't oppose Gay Marriage if it were legal, but I wouldn't support it either.
  11. Atheism was a response to the 60s and 70s, and those posting are the products of the baby boomers and that is why they consider Atheism to be rapidly growing. But as the baby boomer generation grows older, Atheism will decline more, as another poster said, it's dwindling. In my opinion, as the world grows gloomier, in the US and other such countries, we are going to see an upsurge in Christianity.
  12. All you need is a Snuggie, some punch, and plane tickets to Guyana. *Bonus* You can wear it to your monastery!
  13. It doesn't work like that. It would only cause mass chaos.
  14. It really isn't. It's just portrayed as such in the West.
  15. And who's going do that? The European Governments who beat around the issue ignoring it? I gave you a link to a report on Anti-Semitism in Europe, a report so horrible the EU forbade its release until it was leaked. As the report proves, this isn't one or two people, it's an entire generation of people who couldn't careless what their host governments have to say or do.
  16. They may have. I took the date from Bat Ye'or's book, Eurabia. Regardless, Europe already fought off Islam in the Siege of Vienna, but now it's inside their borders, in their neighbourhoods, the Radical kind in particular, and that is not good obviously. A recent poll found 40% of British Muslims in favour of Sharia Law and Sharia Courts. You live in the UK, you follow British law and none other. Am I the only one who finds this idea a good one?
  17. How so? I listed for you already loads of proof to which you never replied. In Western Europe, the idea of the Establishment and the Media is to appease the poor Muslims from the third-word nations, but NEVER let them become a Nordman or a Dutchmen or a Swede (except in rare cases). Don't give them opportunities to good jobs, and make sure all opposition to them is eliminated. So the Radicals can make plans in their mosques, they can stone firefighters fighting a fire at a mosque. They despise Western Culture, they live here because we let them but their host countries are nothing but host countries to them, and they will take over the Pacifist Left governments. The Radicals will do this by 2030, as indicated by Muslim Youth in Stockholm on T-Shirts, "2030: Then we take over."
  18. Even if Christianity died, it would be Radical (make the distinction between Moderate) Islam that would take a foothold, especially if Atheism ran amuck. Atheist's have already proved their ease of succumbing to Radical Islam through such policies currently in Europe. And yes. As the native population of Europe declines and more and more "Progressives" (and I could name many names) take control of the states and media, Radical Islam will take-over with incredible ease. It's called Appeasement, Political Correctness, Establishment Politics.
  19. There's a HUGE difference between secularising European natives, and large bubbles of uncontrolled Islam.
  20. Europe will have succumbed to Radical Islamic caliphates far before Christianity dies off in America. And that's about 2030 to give you a date. It will be France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, and Belgium. The UK will go a few years later.
  21. I would but the mention might be deemed inappropriate.
  22. Oooooh very cool! I collect German artifacts, but I don't do the Third Reich because I mostly collect flags and well, can't have Nazi flags lol. I have lots of flags from the DDR that are as large as 4x10 feet (and other 4x6 flags from other communist countries (although all manufactured in DDR and some have wholes or are dirty)), and I have a flag of the FDJ, and flags of the BR (well, it's the same as today's flag, but the flags say "West Germany" on them), and I have an East Prussian flag, and the Kaiserreich war ensign. I would like other Prussia flags (West and the Empire), and a German Empire flag, the tricolour.
  23. Tip It or Tip.it are both acceptable, but Tip it, no way. Only because the .it Italian domain has spread out to Tip It. But Global Warming is talked about as the variety popularised by Al Gore most of the time, and so I see no reason it shouldn't be capitalised. Global Warming suggests human involvement on high levels, and is not a universally recognized phenomena. Neither is Evolution, or Creation. You don't generalise concepts that have heavy oppositions. I also capatalise Gay Marriage, the Death Penalty, Partial-Birth Abortion, etc.
