just to recap this is the map that we are using on the new thread

no we are essentially transplanting cultures onto it. Also I would like to propose that each culture keeps two attributes that are unique to them.

I really like this map too, but for the sake of borders there needs to be a "flat" version. And this is why I wanted to stick with earth... Regardless I would say that the non "flat" version would work just as well if not better as it is going to be alot more fluid.

Actually we wont be replaying history for one thing we are all starting on a level playing field its how we take it from there is what matters (well in terms of population) Also with a little research you can find a good place to start resource wise just about anywhere.

This one also shows mountains etc. which should come into play. Also it is at such a large size that it is very easy to edit But I am almost definitely going to get over ruled on what map we use.

hate to break this to you but you arent taking the whole of italy with at most 100k people.

I wish you luck and if you ever need any cultural advice just ask, I hope that one day we might form a cross-Atlantic alliance. Unfortunately if you were to ever contact them, the majority of your people would die of small pox and if you were unlucky, the bubonic plague. Unless measures were taken in order to increase health. Yah and I think those never came to Norway, closest thing we have are the rare chicken pox. Vaccines are a marvelous thing.

An alliance would be most apreciated, we native Americans should stand together and trade in order to prosper. Sure and as a gift have these blankets...

Sere already claimed them like 3 times. (ninja'd by grim...) North/South American isn't even a culture, so I have no clue where that idea even came from. There are also the Mayans if anyone wants to make doomsday predictions. I'm considering abandoning China, I'm starting to like the idea of the Polynesians, Huns or Celts. And if people complain about resource distribution being unfair, that's how it went down in real life...You just have to work what you have to your advantage. Oh, and I believe a key point of the new war system is that tactics will be just as important, if not more, than what units you have. Please abandon china I want room to grow... Also I am just saying that you should do a bit of research before choosing where you settle.
