Buy me a wand of cure light wounds and I'll use it. I can cast heal spells, but as I'm channeling negative energy I can't spontaneously cast it. Also, create undead is a perfectly acceptable way of Resurrecting team mates...
Actually, it turns out I can make you effectively undead for channeling (just using a melee touch attack while you're raging, joy) so I could heal you if you were somehow adverse to becoming a wight or a mummy.

Download the basic character sheet, and open it in a .pdf reader (I'm not sure if it works with the basic adobe .pdf viewer, as I'm using the foxit program)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/59439518/Basic%20Character%20Sheet%20-%20Copy.pdf
The link to the base file
-
Or you know you could use the editable .pdf and enter all of that stuff in manually (and get a kick ass character sheet too).
-
It loses its spellcasting ability given that it was animated through animate dead, if it was an intelligent undead it would keep it.

Which leaves 9 hd left to animate should I feel the need
I don't really intend to bring out the undead if I can help it, they're more something that I'll be using if we don't really need survivors (for instance destroying several navy vessels).

https://dl.dropbox.c...d Twiceborn.pdf
The general backstory is that as a child his village was destroyed and he got taken in by some escaped gillmen slaves of the aboleths, who indoctrinated him in their old god (whose worshipers were on a bit of a decline [read: >100 existed]) and taught him the various clerical duties that he would need to do. He took on the name twiceborn because, as he was a commoner he did not have a second, and he felt born again into the service of his new god. At any rate, the undersea community where he learned his trade was destroyed, and he ended up working with the lich pirate king as an under sea assault specialist, where he sacrificed most all of his undead to punch a hole in the line of ships and lead some survivors out. Then he wandered for a time under the sea, and found two relatively unusual corpses (GM approval pending), that of a young adult brine dragon, and that of a kraken, which he may or may not have animated with aid from a desecrate spell to serve as his new minions. Again, GM approval pending.
Oh and I have a +13 to sailing, in case we ever actually need to use a ship.
-
Is that including the usage of the undead master feat and the effects of a desecrate spell as well or not?
-
That was more the fact that there wasn't anyone who could enchant the thing in the uncharted lands, because most wizards aren't insane adventurers.
-
Question: Would I be allowed to bring my own undead followers (if they have a swim speed), if I have already paid for the cost of the onyx? Also are you limiting animate dead to humanoid creatures, or could I bring along some zombie giant squid for the ride?
-
I'm going to be going as a cleric of Thenatos, Azlanti (demi currently) god of the helpful dead. Sees dead bodies as tools that can be used to help further the cause of civilization rather than hinder it, as such he is a neutral deity of death who doesn't really care about his clerics raising the dead. Other clerics on the other hand...
What I was thinking about is a slightly more ruthless Erastil, and less hide bound Adabar who has no problem with tools being used to further the cause of the community (and his church) as long as they are being used properly.
For domains I was thinking: Death and undead, community, healing, and destruction. (Trying to get some of theme going for duality)
Weapon: Warhammer (ability to create and destroy?)
-
On a campaign related note, would it be possible for a cleric to worship, and draw power from the concept of death (and it being a two way door), or perhaps be one of the few (Read <100 total) worshipers of an old azlanti death god (which is currently more like a demi god, due to the whole lack of worshipers). I say this because pretty much all of the deities that have the death domain don't really appeal to me.

If this game is open to non crossroads players, what's the point buy level?
-
On a side note, I would never ever buy extra RAM for a laptop as long as the RAM is not soldered into the motherboard. It is probably the easiest upgrade possible on most all laptops to put in an extra 4 gig stick of RAM, and will in all likely hood be far cheaper than buying it pre upgraded.

If you're willing to purchase fairly quickly, I'd look at the thinkpad T430, which is currently on sale at lenovo. With some customization you will get either 1920x1080 or 1600x900 as well as a graphics card that can game (though it is optimized for other uses). The main disadvantage of it is that it has a chiclet keyboard, which is kind of crappy compared to the older ones. On the plus side, it will be extremely usable for work (and not just because of its ability to use a docking station) due to one's ability to use two 9 cell batteries, which will give it a 20 hour wifi browsing battery life, and around a 12 hour battery life when using the dedicated graphics card.
-
I'll play if you want to try dming. If I could give a bit of advice though, I'd tell you to at the very least look at one of the paizo adventure paths, as (barring kingmaker and a couple of other ones) they are fairly easy to GM.
-
I at least have at most 3 guns and 4 weapons though it is fairly easy to do with less in certain games (such as killing floor). However, I agree with arch about fallout, in New Vegas I carried three guns, which by the end of the game had become a long ranged elimination weapon (GRA anti material rifle) for cases of packs of death claw+ level opponents, a short(er) range elimination weapon (a brush gun variant) and a general purpose or middle of the road weapon (a trail carbine). However, I would never have both of the elimination weapons on me at the same time, as that's just overkill, and a waste of space (especially when playing on hardcore mode). Generally I follow a similar model unless I go batshit with explosives, which can be rather fun to do.
Also, mather what game mode do you play in Fallout? Hardcore mode or normal mode? Because carrying around extra weapons that you don't need can be a fairly bad idea in non normal play.

It would depend on the ipod in question, and if it is possible to open up the case of it (look this up before trying it). If it is look up a tutorial on how to replace volume buttons on your type of ipod. I'm unsure of how it would be done to be honest, as ipods are pressure sealed iirc, and are actually harder to service than iphones.

I'm aware, but more to the point a lot of "gaming" laptops seem like they weren't meant to be used as laptops, judging by how hot their bases can get under load (seriously, look it up, 108 F is too much to be used on a lap). I'm capable of finding something with fairly good specs by myself, but I was asking around here to see if I could find some actual user experience, which tends to be more useful than specs and benchmarks (for instance, will using this laptop as a laptop sear my genitals to the point of impotence or not?).
-
Because I've already built a "gaming desktop" (really just upgraded my cpu and video cards), and as I'm going to college soon I'm not likely to bring a big ass tower with me.
I'd prefer it to have a longer battery life than most gaming laptops because they tend to have fairly poor battery life (its all the fans and back lit keyboards generally).
-
On an unrelated note, after a scheme of mine that involved buying broken iphones on ebay and then repairing them/ selling them on craigslist for profits of 2-300$ actually worked I have quite a bit of extra cash (Especially since I invested 2000$ into it, and I've got around 5500$ to spend). What I want to know is, can anyone recommend a laptop that is below 2000$ and can be used to game with? One that is preferably not a "gaming laptop" as those have fairly bad battery life/functionality as a laptop, and is 14-16"?
-
I couldn't have, but the timezone conflict was too bad. If I had known that crossroads was based upon Dark Heresy I would have given you them though.
-
Question: Starting equipment wise, are we limited to just the core rulebook, or can we branch out for more character appropriate weapons from other DH books (with GM approval of course).

If you need another person I can play, it has been awhile since I played dark heresy though. Also, oh god a psyker, this isn't going to end well.
Chapter 1 - Windward
in Falador Tavern
Posted
how would one go about making a ship, would you need craft: carpentry checks? Or something different? Because I've got a feeling that we ought to get off of this island ASAP.
