Achievement Embarrassment
I had the same problem, just make sure you click the four spots and try and stay as close as you can to the statue. Its not as easy as you may think.

lost city advice
I did this just yesterday and I killed her with ranged. Take plenty of arrows as you can carry them, a log of wood, knife for fletching and a bowstring etc to make a longbow once you are in the cave and you should be fine. I also used a windblast spell as well and killed her off pretty quickly. Just make sure you get to the safe spot pretty quickly as she hits hard and fast.

Lost city question
Hi all, I am about to do lost city and was hoping for some advice. The guide recommends a set of magic robes, I was wondering if I could use my splitbark armour, being that I have them and do not really want to spend the coins on robes that I am possible not going to wear or use?

What if you had more inventory slots?
I would'nt mind if it had the normal 28 spots, but maybe if we could have 4 or 8 rune spots, specifically runes and nothing else. You could choose what ever runes you wanted. i find my runes tend to take up a bit of space tht I could use for other stuff, especially on long quests.

melee for idiots
Can someone please explain melee for me, and how to go about it? I have seen it mentioned a few times in quest guides and feel a little confused. An idiots type guide would be very much appreciated

Does runescape feel the same?
Someone should siggy that. to be honest, I still struggle with it  There are still nice people who are willing to help around. Like some one else said, I had a friend who gave me 3k and took me to buy some armour when I first started. My other friend took me out hunting this week as I told her I had no idea how to get started or where to go, she is also going to take me out falconing this weekend. I am one of those who is willing to help others, some young guy asked me about my blue wizards hat - he didn't understand that you generally get them as drops early on. Offered me 1 k for it. I had a few and just gave it to him. Back then 1k was still a lot of gold for me, but why sell it when I didn't pay for it? I have also taken the time to explain star mining to people who don't get it, I explain where my falador shield came from 3 or 4 times a day. As for change, I believe change is inevitable, on RS, any online game and in the real world. For those of you who are feeling Jaded about RS, what you experienced when you stared on RS is still experienced by people such as myself who are relatively new. I don't know how you can change this as I think Jagex has put a lot of effort into providing more quests, minigames and trying to stay one step ahead of those who are long term members. Maybe you need to change your role in the game, or your perspective.

Does runescape feel the same?
As a new player/member of just a few (6) months I had a laugh as I read this thread and had to comment. Some of those things I am experiencing now, i can relate to the ernest the chicken comment - though it took me 2 days until a friend told me where to find him   And I had a major whinge at paying 19k for a rune long sword. I made 1000 bowstrings to pay for my rune armour, axes and splitbark armour. Took me hours. I have just spent 3 days hunting copper longtails to get up to level 40, than sold all the feathers and made a few thousand coins. I have no idea of 98% of the terminology used in rs #-o I get harrassed by young males wanting me to be their gf, or to give them money - although this doesn't happen so much on p2p than it did on f2p. I get abused for being a 'noob', gee we all have to start somewhere. I have been banned from the penguin chat for inadvertantly posting a sighting while on another world :shame: - I forgot to check when I logged on to RS that evening  I feel guilty when getting my thieving stats up  I felt awful when I killed my first unicorn, and it took me ages to get up the courage to do it - far too much harry potter I think. I am absolutely panicking at the thought of doing the dragon slayer quest :ohnoes: I may only be a level 50 at this time, but it is my first big quest. I have a couple of friends from real life who have been playing RS for a couple of years and now have me addicted. It's all their fault. I also love Rs as it is a great stress release for me and although I do not know a lot of people online as I keep to myself, I have found most people pretty friendly and helpful.

Before becoming a member: preparations
I wish I had my magic and prayer points up before I became p2p. If you have a high level of magic you will be able to teleport over to ardougne after a couple of easy quests and it will save you a lot of time walking. For prayer points, bury every single bone you get when you kill anything. Pick up any bones you find and bury them. There is a temptation when you are fighting to just leave them there on the ground. You will need good prayer points when you come across some of the nastier beasties during quests. Take advantage of any opportunity to boost those prayer points as they take a long time to level up. Try and get your Lumbridge achievement diary completed before you become p2p too. The cabbage teleport is a godsend if you do not have enough magic to teleport to falador. It also comes in handy if you run out of runes. I also wasted a lot of time finishing off my f2p quests and wish I had completed them first (except dragon slayer - still to do that) so I had more time to develop my members skills.

Magic - armour advice
I have just hit level 40 magic and have had it pointed out to me that I am wearing the wrong armour when casting spells etc. Generally I wear mithral/ adamant. As I am relatively new and have not much coinage, I was hoping what armour would suit me, especially during slaying tasks or when I am casting spells against guards etc so I survive without taking too much damage from them.

Quit Runescape years ago... back into it
You could always try star mining, members only I'm afraid. Look it up in diversions and distractions on the runescape site. Once you have 200 dust, the sprite will give you 50,000 gold coins, some gold ore, runes and mining exp. You will get a good price for your gold ore at the GE, but not so much for bars. Stars drop every 2 hours or so. I hope this helps if you need money fast.

Boosting prayer points
I'm hoping somebody can help me. I am currently trying to boost my prayer points as I am at a point where there is getting to be very little I can do quest wise until I can get them way up higher than what they already are (27). Somebody told me I could burn/offer dragon bones at the alter at yanille, and I have no idea how to go about doing this. I do have dragon bones but I have no incense and have no idea how to go about getting any of it. I am still constructing my house - a long drawn out process and as of yet do not have an alter of my own. Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks, lucy.
