  1. ---Original Post--- ****If you're reading this, you might as well post. I really need the help, and every bit is appreciated  *** I'm thinking of getting 94 mage, but I have a few problems. There are three ways I'm thinking of using for achieving the level. 1) Alch. This will cost me ~5m. This IS the most efficient; it does however, takes more work than the other options. Oh, and it hurts my hand after awhile :ohnoes: 2) A Combination of String Jewellery and Alching. ~12m. I'm leaning towards this option atm, because it's a balance between hard work and efficiency/cost. 3) Stringing jewellery. ~20m. I'm not exactly rich, but this take literally no work whatsoever, so I may get the money to do this (although it is not efficient). I need your opinion on what I should do. Thanks in advance : .
  2. Alch until you can do smoke burst (62 or 64 mage), and burst monsters in a 3 x 3 square as you would with chins. Use shadow burst once you can, then blood until 70 mage. Note: Although this is fast exp, it's not exactly worth it.. But if money's not a problem, you should try it.
  3. If you don'tknow what you're talking about, try not to post. It makes you look like an idiot. 1)Crystal bows have the same "range" as Mage spells. 2)Shadow spells reduce attack by 15%. You cannot stack the effects of 1 shadow spell after another. The only way to get the melee 0 attack is if they has 1 attack to start with. Which, tbh, is as good as 0. 3)You are absolutely right; blood spells are useful in multi-combat. YOu might get lucky and heal a 63, right before 9 meleers DDS/AGS/D claw you. Yes blood spells OWN! Healing 1/4 of what you hit in 1v1 in real pvp is a just as amazing. If someone's lucky, they might heal a 7. 3's usually. On average, they'd splash. Magic is useless in REAL Pvp. That means 1 v 1, where you risk your items. They can't farcast like they're supposed to, because they're "not in combat". LOL.
  4. Woot, Teleblock became F2P today... That's one less thing a F2P mage needs \ . Maybe I should go teleblock noobs who don't read updates... That'll give em a scare
  5. Hey there, I'm Hubs55 :, and welcome to my 30 second blog. I'm going to keep this short ;) . I've been playing Runescape for about 2 years now: One year f2p; one year p2p. I'm starting my third year as p2p  . I play 2 hours a day at most; my goal of 99 hitpoints will take me about 9 months playing an hour a day 8-) . I'm using this to mostly keep track of my progress, and to find encouragement. Feel free to leave a comment or two :D . Thanks for reading my 30 second blog  . I started my goal at 80 hp on Jan 23/09. 11m exp to go :ohnoes:. [hide=Current Stats (Or check my siggy)][/hide] Percentage to 99: Every 300 Pest Points will get me about 1% further :D [hide=Other side goals that I will be working on] (Hopefully, I will get this from getting the zeal in Pc)[/hide]
  6. It does. Think of it this way: At school, the majority of people do not enjoy studying. There are a few though, who do. In the future, those who enjoyed studying will be rewarded with a high paying job. Those who didn't would have a mediocre job. It's all about the choices you've made in the past. In runescape, most mains start out dreaming about that dragon med helm. A few, however, decide they wanted to range. Despite being only able to hit 4's and meleers going "hahahahaha i has mith scim, nice noob bronze arrows", they continue to train. Once they are 80-90 cb, they are rewarded for their persistence and hard work. Mr. Mith Scimmy, who had decided to follow the crowd, ends up with an average account; useless at Pking. How did this happen? Because Mr. Mith Scimmy made poor choices "back in the day". He CHOSE to get his Str and Atk over a combined number of 147. The only one he has to blame is himself. In real life, those who studied hard are rewarded. They are not brought down to the same level as the others. Why should't it be the same for Runescape? It's funny how melee can hit even faster than range on 1 def. Wonder why you didn't mention it. Oh, because D Claws can only hit 88 twice in 5 seconds? Or Dds can hit 90 4 times in.. 10 seconds? OR maybe a whip can hit, on average, 20-30's as fast as a Rune crossbow? Yeah, melee istotally useless against 1 def. 1 def owns melee. Or maybe.. 1-45 just isnt good enough against, say 80 range or 80 attk? Because MAYBE 80>1-45?
  7. If range tanks are over powered, you should make on yourself! Then, you'd be overpowered! It's not that hard: 1) Take your lvl 3-10 main. 2) Start training your favorite combat skills: Ranged, Magic, and Def. 3) Keep training those skills you love 'til you're maxed. Voila, you have your very own overpowered range tank, that's also your main. (Hey, that's what I did). Now you have no need to be on the rants forum.
  8. Runescape Username:Hubs55 Combat Level:87 +5 F2P, P2P:Both please
  9. Snare is definitely needed. Bind is pretty much useless for stopping an opponent from escaping atm; It's pretty much useless for help YOU escape too... -.- Adding Teleblock would definitely be nice; It would make mages feared (at least a little bit) again. Adding the wave spells would help balance out the f2p triangle at the higher lvls. Currently, a ranger can hit 16 (18's with prayer) using 125 gp arrows, that are reusable, FASTER than a mage hitting 16's with 275-300gp runes that are 1 use each. Melee and range are pretty balanced in f2p (although range does need a better bow for accuracy bonuses). Adding wave spells would also increase the demand on blood runes, and raise the price a bit.
