  1. I doubt the D bolt's spec affects Jad.
  2. I own up whips my cb level the majority of the time though...
  3. Scientific Scaper Reminds of myself...
  4. I apologize. Not like smite is very useful for getting good drops or owning stupid 1-itemers. Piety is worthless for surviving deep wilderness or bh when you're getting piled. I mean +25% def is a joke. And I guess you're right. Why drink prayer pots less often? So silly. Who doesn't love to pull out a weapon to KO, just to realize eagle eye is off? You know, hit a 50 instead of a 57? Or have your last prayer point run out during the last 15 seconds of your bh penalty? Let's not forget GWD. Let's turn a 4 hour trip into a 2 hour one, because you ran out of super restores. About your doctor comment: No, a doctor who treats cancer does not need to have had cancer. What they do need however, is experience with it. Although I own a pathetic lvl 88 tank (my main), it is still more than you have, as far as I can tell.
  5. Sorry, my bad. I forgot you were an expert on tanks, seeing as your main is one.
  6. If a tank goes for 99 defence, he will be 101 combat; hence why most tanks stick at slightly below. Check it out in the combat calculator. Summoning has no effect on PVP combat level, so I'm not quite sure where this '122 combat in PTP' is coming from. Maxed out Tank: 99 Range, Mage, Hp, Prayer, Defence, Summoning. In P2P, the tank may choose to use summoning in a PVP situation, making him/her 122 cb. If they opt to not use summoning, they will be 109 Combat. Where'd you get 101 from?
  7. Tanks max out at 122 combat in P2P, 109 combat in F2P. A maxed out tank ranger not using summoning will be able to be attacked by 125's. Those are known as "Wannabe Tanks" or "Failed Tanks". Just wanted to point that out.
  8. A couple weeks ago, I was pking F2P with range. I was 87 combat with 85 range (which isn't too bad). Eventually, a lvl 84 decides to fight me. He had 63 defence, and <75 str and attack stats. He ran me out of food before half his inventory was gone. :wall: I mean, this guy was the average main... And the fact that it was 85 range Vs 63 def is just messed up.

Explain this to me: If mage is: 1) NOT ridiculously overpriced 2) NOT underpowered Why is it that: 1) Mages can only kill NOOBS in 1v1 2) The majority of players are meleers 3) Mages are penalized in melee armor, while meleers can wear dhide without reductions? I'll answer that for you. The reason most players are meleers isn't because they're noobs (hard to believe). No, the reason they wear those dragon med helms is because mage is extremely overpriced for its power. If mage was as balanced (or overpowered [Yeah, right], as you say it is), then why is there not a balance in players that are mages, rangers, and meleers? Answer that. No matter what you say, you cannot deny what you see in the game: Hordes of meleers (and for a good reason [ie, mage = useless in combat]).

Compfreak: I recall you had posted 35%, not 15%. Funnily, the meleer can hit 33's with his extremely low 74 str with a dragon scimitar, while (oh my), the mage hits an astonishing 30 with ice barrage at 99 magic. The AMAZING HEALING you talk of can heal (omg) 7's at maximum, 3's on average. Usually, it will splash. The scenario you have described is a mage owning a noob. An experienced meleer will always bring dhide/karils. Which brings me to another problem. Why is it that meleers recieve NO penalties while in mage/range gear, while mages are horribly penalized?

Compfreak: Please, enlighten me as to how a mage can lower attack by 35%, and beat an experienced meleer in 1v1 combat.
  12. No offense, but your friend has NO idea what he's talking about. Torags body? lol. Doesn't even work with the accumulator. Neit? Lol. Helm: Torags (I do fairly well with rune at 72 def too) Necklace: Armadyl Pendant. Not needed if you have an arma plate. Or if you want to get killed in 3 seconds. Your choice. It also may not be needed if you are killing them in OUSTSIDE the armadyl area. Then again, only complete noobs and pures do that. Body: Saradomin Dhide/Blackdhide/Arma plate. Legs: Torag/Dharok (I do fairly well with rune at 72 def) Boots: Ranger/Snakeskin/Rogues. Dragon DOES NOT HELP WHATSOEVER THERE. Rogues give the highest range def for boots in the game: +2. Gloves: Zamorak Bracers. There are no saradomin monsters in the area. Ring: Wealth/Life/Archer's ring. You can't die there unless you're a total noob. Cape: Accumulator Weapon: Rune Cbow Shield: Crystal shield ( 3/10 Charge or greater)/Granite/obby. Dfs (full) if you're rich, but Crystal (10/10) is still better (+80 range def vs +70 I believe). Bolts: Mith/Emerald (e)/Adamant. IF YOU HAVE HIGH DEFENCE (IE 90+), YOU MAY BE ABLE TO KILL THEM WITHOUT TANKING ARMOR (IE TORAGS). JUST USE MAXIUM RANGE GEAR OR VOID + UNHOLY BOOK. I usually bring: -Mith Grapple -Exaclibur (for special -Helps A LOT) -Bones to Peaches. -Fire staff + Natures -Food.
  13. Very nice guide. Used it to win a couple duel tourneys : . Took down a few lvl 130's who forgot their dhide and lvl 115's in Gs's  . The triple stack combo seems nice; Gonna try it out sometime when I have money again for runes. *26-29-30* (I think that's the max for the combo).
  14. Yea Humidfy makes profit, but the exp I get isn't very much. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, bu I get like 60k cash per hour and 30k exp. Don't really like it :? :| Thanks though
  15. Melee. As a Range/Mage Tank, I can rip apart most level 100- (as long as they arent tanks either : ) in p2p. In f2p, I can't even take on a lvl 84 meleer with 63 def.
  16. Wait, let me get this straight. You're talking about BUFFING up melee, when it's quite obvious that: 1) Mages (in F2p and p2p) need better armor and spells AND 2) Rangers need better accuracy bonuses in f2p. ...
  17. *Looks at Teleblock* *Looks at Ice barrage* *Looks at a friend who can cast `Heal Other`* *Looks at hybrid pking gear* *Looks at Torags and other High defence armors*
  18. I normally do Gold amulets as they are very easy to buy, and are the cheapest. I have heard however, that ruby ones may be better, because you are able to sell off the strung amulets, making some of your money back (i.e. the only money you lose is on the astrals). I have not tried this before, so don't hold it against me if it doesn't work out :D . I normally alch my amulets I string to get more mage exp, since gold amulets are EXTREMELY hard to sell. I wouldn't bother unless you wanted to wait 2 years for 1k ammys : .
  19. Its about 42.6k casts to 94 mage from 88 magic. If you're fast, you can get 1800 done or 150k exp in an hour. So it's going to take around 23.6 hours. Are you thinking about getting 94/99 mage stringing jewellery? lol
  20. Meh, I tend to just look for 3-5 pouchs that alch with a loss of 70-80 gp. I'm sorta lazy :anxious:. Thanks oropher, never knew that o.o
  21. Oh yeah, totally forgot about Plank Make  . Thanks, I'm gonna look into it :) . Thanks Ladycai. To Dmt: Yes it's the same for any amulet. Seems most people think alching is the way to go  .
  22. It's auto. You can chat/surf internet while you string. Sorta like Wc, or fishing  . Like I said, it takes no work; just costs a lot and is inefficient.
  23. With string jewellery, you click the spell once and it string each unstrung amulet in your inventory. It takes about 2 seconds per amulet, and each amulet takes up a set of runes. You can do about ~1800 casts per hour, which is about 150k exp, if you're fast at banking.
