  1. Checking your profile only confirmed to me your a young one. My word of advise is to step away from the TV, there are much better women out there. My 2 cents.
  2. I've never liked the ONE campaign, they always came off to me as an over glamorized charitable organization marketed towards young adults who want to feel involved. This article doesn't surprise me though, I would really like to see a complete breakdown of that 9 million euro and after a quick good search of the New York Post article the author mentions the data was collected from the organizations tax return.. Would be interesting to get a breakdown of other major charitable organizations too for a fair comparison.
  3. Quote of truth. Comparing four lokos/ alcohol to meth is silly to me. The two are completely different substances with two completely different affects.
  4. The Decemberists and The XX are both good. The singer from Florence and the Machine has a great voice. Not a fan of LCD Soundsystem and haven't heard of the other two.
  5. Saw the new Jackass 3D film. As always, it was really funny.
  6. I think your ideas of a hipster are completely different from my then because the "Most incredible man in the World" is far from a hipster in my mind. I see him more of like the ultimate player.
  7. Kanye West G.O.O.D. Friday music: http://kanyewest.com/
  8. I re-watched Casablanca last night and will probably do so again tomorrow night (I'm going to be writing a paper on the film here in a week or so).
  9. Its demographic is mainly focused on elderly hipsters. I would strongly have to disagree with that. Their marketing campaign is geared more towards men that strive to be that alpha male that everyone sort of gravitate towards. I mean look at their Most interesting Man in the World commercials and tell me otherwise.
  10. Welcome to the forums, we have a couple pokemon related threads in the Video Game & Console forum. Here is a link to the main Pokemon Thread.
  11. Apparently they are dried. I wonder if the same result would happen with other plain burgers, plain buns? I would assume you would end up with the same results. Yeah, I thought the same. It's like those before and after shots they have on TV for acne, dieting, etc. commercials.
  12. Interesting, I find it hard to believe that they truly can last that long but I'm not about to go try it out myself.. I wonder what kind of environment the hamburgers have been left in.
  13. i giggled. I've seriously wanted to go to Northern Washington state, in those oldddd forests. On a nice rainy day. <3 I think you'd be most interesting in visiting Mount Baker but in general everything West of the Cascades is pretty heavy in greenery. edit: I agree with Joe.
  14. Greek yogurt is a good source of protein but it also cost a bit more then regular yogurt like yoplait. The basketball throw i find weird, but I would practice with a medicine ball like a five or 10 pound ball and practice throwing with that. Muscles for that I think would be a mix between chest and shoulders.
  15. Micro brewery is more so the hipster beers of choice but I mean, so would does anyone who likes good tasting beer BUT I feel hipsters have been drinking PBR for a long time now, this is far from new. It's cheap if I'm not mistaken I've never personally bought it, I've only drank from kegs.
  16. I've been to several places in Europe I wanted to see but once I graduate college this spring and settle into where ever I move afterwards I want to work towards being able to travel out of the country at least once or twice a year. I don't really want to limit myself to seeing a city or a country once in my lifetime. That's just not acceptable to me, the idea that I can't go back. However I do want to go see Morocco, Spain, more of Greece, and maybe Prague the next time I go abroad again, which hopefully is this summer!
  17. We made some comidic videos about the miners for my class.. You can check them out here http://babbler.cz.cc/.. I'm in two of them.
  18. Heres the league I created: http://games.espn.go.com/fba/leagueoffice?leagueId=94264 It's called "Doing Big Things"
  19. Thinking about it I don't know why I thought that, it could be that I just associate cricket with Australia for some reason so your signature mislead me, ha.
  20. Cool, I'll put one together tonight then!
  21. Not going to lie, I always thought you were from Australia. Great pictures by the way!
  22. How do you think it would be? Would depend on who would have discovered the new world instead but primarily it would affect us more on a culturally level. Say that those from Asia were the first to colonize America, we would resemble more of an Asian country then a European but at the time and say the Europeans decided not to travel to the new world and instead colonize Africa instead.. Things like that I suppose. The Alternatives could be extreme or microscopical, we would really never know but on a smaller scale you could compare it to what ifs about your own life like what if you got so and so job how would your life be? Or what if you never went to get a cup of coffee and ran into this girl that you become madly in love with and end up marrying? Simple choices can play huge roles in your life and potentially on history. Well there's no way to tell if the world would have been better without that voyage. However, you can't really think he was the ONLY one who would have made that trip. There's always radicals, he just happened to be that guy who took the first step, I'm almost positive someone else would have had Columbus not. And the point remains, what did he do to deserve a nationally recognized holiday? He didn't discover anything, he didn't do the Native's any good, what did he do to deserve a day? Got confused, ended up in the wrong place, committed heinous crimes? There is no way to tell if life would be worse without his voyage either. I also never said he was the only one who wanted to do the trip, more so probably one of the few to get proper funding and such to do so but more so he deserves a day of recognition to observe sort of the real beginning to colonization in the new world which for most is important if we deem it so or not. He also didn't really do any physical harm to native americans so the whole native argument I really don't understand since he never actually landed in what we consider the United States..
  23. Well presumably without his discovery the world today wouldn't be the exact same way it is now so yes it was a good thing. Even if he gets more credit then he deserves.
  24. Columbus wasn't the only explorer here, there were many others, so it still could have wound up like this. Very true but Columbus acted voyage was more of a representative of Spain where as those before him acted more independently from European rulership. But was it a positive or a negative contribution from Columbus? He discovered the Bahamas, it's lush resources, blah blah blah.. Without columbus there probably would not have been the same desire from European countries to inhabit the new world.
