I would ask her what she thought on matching. It really comes down to personal preference and matching outfits is a typical cliché for HS dances. Personally I would just wear a nice black suit so it takes the stress off trying to match her outfit and focus more on making yourself look good.

I'd say she's more inspiring.

Yeah my school works caught up with me.. Still going to try and finish the apple though. Next week is a little iffy for me too. I have an exam monday and either a video or paper due thursday (haven't decided which I want to do). However I'm still willing to come up with things for people to paint! I did try do paint a pear last night after I had finished taking some notes but it turned out pretty awful ha.

I disagree, that guy is a jerk. He holds unpopular opinions and is very argumentative, to a point of fault. His posts may be good, but that doesn't mean he has to be your favorite. I had a lot last night but I managed to work on my piece for about 20 minutes before I had to leave for a class. It's incomplete though, I may try and finish it tomorrow when I'm done with my school week. Tonights challenge is another fruit, PEAR! [spoiler=Example] *Note* Trying to keep things simple this week, I'm thinking this weekend we'll do like a three day challenge starting Friday that ends Sunday. Yeah I didn't really think about the proper texture till the end, II think it's closer to a clay vase kinda. Your shading test looks good, hopefully you'll be able to apply it to your next drawing. Of course yours looks great Tripsis, I like the colors.

Hah, I was actually going to make a joke about the clawing of the eyes in the note. With this I really wanted to work on shading with a light source. I had three points or spots I wanted my light to hit on the vase and I think I did fairly well. My roommate like it, by brother thought I should have made the vase a little more tighter and not so wide. The flower was just a last minute addition to add a like something to it.

Ok I'm procrastinating some reading I have to do but I need your guy help in finding me those like decorative white lights. I tried finding an example but of course I couldn't find one when I was actually look for one..

I can't find anything on those people being homeless but people who fight their way through poverty make some sort of life change decision that better their lives.

I used to love American Apparel but they like changed their cuts so all their shirts don't fit me right anymore and they always tend to get holes after a while or shrink. I've moved on though to Alternative Apparel, a little more costly, but a much better product.

It's saddening to see homeless people but I feel like the ones who are usually put themselves in that situation and expect others to fix their problems for them.

Thanks for the tips Tripsis! I just played around with a couple brushes before I really got started keep switching them to through my painting to try and get a basic feel for the ones I liked. I'll post the new subject in a couple hours when I get back from my late class if I go.. Otherwise around 7 or 8PST.

Consider this lowering the bar. :P Besides doodling this is my first real piece using solely my tablet. I'm content with it, I need to work on adding details. As is there isn't much detail in the bulb (petals), the stem I think is alright but still needs work like the leaf thing on the side looks to connected to the actual stem and I should have made it more concave. I spent probably 20-25 mins on mine. @Nadril I started with like the basic painting. Solid green stem, pink bulb, then went in afterwards and tried to add my details.

In the spirit of bettering our skills in digital painting, and getting our lazy asses to use our tablets, I present the Digital Painting Daily Challenge!
