If something new were to be introduced into the game, it could possibly be open to free to play players. But I think it is wrong if something that people payed for (they expected it to stay that way) should stay for them. Imagine if you bought something for twenty dollars, but the next day... it was free. You'd be annoyed, right? My Nintendo DS cost me $150. Today I could get the same model for half that, easily. The same thing has happened to my phone, my TV, my computer, and pretty much all my electronics. I'm not annoyed at all, because I expect new models to come out over time. Poor analogy. So you would be absolutely okay with skillcapes being f2p if they had been from the start, but absolutely opposed if they were changed to be f2p now? Either way, they'd be f2p. What's the difference? How was it a poor analogy? RuneScape is a video game, you pay for the content. This content isn't supposed to be given for free, even as time goes on because people pay five dollars (at least) a month for this content. And yes I would be alright if they were originally free to play because I would know they aren't part of the package of content I pay for monthly. The difference? If you had that stance on everything, nothing would be play to play.

Even if some capes (cooking, fletching and such) can be obtained faster then say, strength it is still a long and tedious task. Regardless of the skill the 12 million experience needed for a 99 skill is no small feat. The people who call others inferior are brats, in themselves.

Well I would have to say Zezima. Though I have not played in years I still remember his name. Even now he is one of the players with the most experience in the whole game of RuneScape. I'm not saying I like him, or respect him but it is the simple truth; he is famous.

Oh and to all that people saying it wouldn't create lag because emotes don't create lag, your logic is flawed. Since the server would have to deal with a more complex death emote and they (the emotes) would take up so many more resources it would create a massive lag. Not to mention if it is decided to have multiple death emotes it would create even more recourse suckers just for the cool emote... when you perish?

As long as the quality doesn't decrease while downloading (make sure you save it as the correct thing) it should stay the same quality and size. If you really wanted to make the image bigger it would lose quality as you don't have the originals. In other words, if you want them to be good quality they must stay the same size.

It isn't something that can be stopped, so all a person can do is prevent it. Don't click on any links or visit any forums where you do not trust the administrators. Also if you have been DDoSed before, make sure you change your IP address (if possible) to prevent future attacks.

But F2Per's have been given P2P things before (like you said), and it's caused little to no relapse in subscriptions (from what I saw when they gave it to us). If people are going to stop paying just because we got skillcapes, when then they can go ahead and be babies. Are you going to stop paying to play? Do skillcapes mean THAT much to you? I see where you are coming from, but if you have that attitude on every little play to play thing then nothing will be play to play anymore. Also how would you know more or less people are subscribing? I can tell you now the ranting forum is as big as ever. Also valuing what you pay for doesn't make you a child, it makes you intelligent.

Wait so it makes one selfish because they want to get their monies worth? That logic is flawed. Sure nobody would actually be hurt, but the money that the pay to players have to pay each month would be worth less when they have to pay more. It is just like the real world, if you have money you can buy _____ but if you don't, oh well.

I would have to say the Saradomin Godsword. The healing special can be very useful and I have to say, it does look sexy. Sure with the Armadyl Godsword you can deal out more damage, but it really doesn't make that much more of a difference. If someone is low hitpoints a Saradomin Godsword can kill them just as well while securing your safety (it heals you).

You have a point,but not one person has 200m runecraft xp.... Runecrafting experience (top): 157,034,220 Slayer experience (top): 123,832,494 My point has been made.

Of course slayer is the harder skill. You don't see anyone with 200 million slayer experience but you see a load of people with 200 million runecrafting experience. Sure it may take more focus to runecraft but it all really is the same thing, clicking. You also need to run all over the place for slayer so it can't be an efficient steady experience coming in.

Sure it would be nice to have a change but "flying though the air" just doesn't work for me. All those bodies flying through the air making it hard to see (in game that is) doesn't sound good to me. Sure a little change wouldn't hurt but it just isn't needed. With all the other things JaGEx currently needs to do this isn't one of them.

The answer is no. Even with the extended bonus of the necklace the whip and ______ (<--- insert shield there) are still much better. Good luck getting 99 attack! :thumbsup:

Should free to play get skill capes? No. All the pay to play players are paying over ten pounds (in some cases) when it used to be only two and a half. So, we (as in play to players) should pay more money for less benefits? Less people would continue to subscribe to members and the people who could deal with the change would still not be pleased. Free to play has a load of content already, they don't need a cape. Think about it! The duel arena, team capes. The whole shebang. If anyone is to lazy to read the above paragraph; no.

People can debate, which of course generally isn't pretty because two (or more) people are disagreeing about something. The issue is some people don't know where to draw the line at arguing your point and doing your best to be polite at the same time as opposed to using sarcastic comments and being an overall annoyance to the debaters. Yes, you should get a specific moderator for this forum. Where arguments happen, trouble usually follows.
