The Ancient actually tried it for awhile, but it's not very effective overall, especially in conjunction with a blood necklace. You'll be useless against some monsters and many bosses. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Eh, okay then. So I guess I'll get a primal rapier and primal plate, and replace the plate with a blood necklace when I get one. Get gaunts until neck for dps.

Really? I doubt it's better than melee. I've -never- seen anyone mage this boss. :thumbup: It actually works very well on him, and I'm surprised it isn't done. Tbh, it'd probably make for faster kills since when people melee, when ever GC says "buuurrrn" everyone backs away for 2-3 combat turns, where as when you mage, you never have to worry about it. Also, when maging, you can stand in the door way, and when he burrows, instead of teleporting out, just bless the two tombstones next the door (only if they turn purple), and stay in the door way, the spec WILL NOT hit you. Your original post sounded like 'these are the bosses to mage'. Also, you aren't supposed to not attack when he says 'burrrrnnn', you're supposed to run away, hit and run, hit and run, and by then he should have it off. You will get hit like 80 damage each time but whatever. If you time it right you miss no combat turns and only take a little damage. And the spec thing - I'm not too sure about the exact details, but I think when two or more tombstones are blessed he won't use the crazy spec.

It is worth farming if you can do it without wasting time. Chee is able to get some melee pots for gds / boss and get pot doors done fast. Chee is noob farm/herb though. When people have tons of 99s you no longer really need the strong pots except strong melees are a bit better than regular. When you dng and aren't keying you're supposed to A) help the keyer by exploring other paths while stating what you come across and B) Gather resources such as strong melee pots, ragers, prom gauntlents/boots if you're really fast & early on, and make an altar if one isn't near ht. Note I am talking about when there's no gds. Having all 5 players click to open a door when theres 1 path is stupid. T9 gatherers imo. If you have reset left and have tokens then yes t10.

Izen, since you were asking what you can do to be better, you should learn to snape your floors well, since you're 84+ farm and 96+ herb and 90+ thieving. If you can get strong melee pots for gds it saves a lot of time, and you can do it without wasting time if you're decent (I don't have much experience snaping though since I key). It also saves time for pot doors and you should carry an unf wg pot, unf lyco pot & moss, claw, and whisky everywhere once you have farmed. See chee's spam repost of rs notes to help if you haven't. If I know someone is snaping I usually ask them to gate things only if everyone else has, so you can gate your patch. & Note where it is, just in case. You can also volunteer to gate something if there's a patch at that gate. Also if you haven't been, keep your eyes out for chests to make altar / get farm cash. Getting melee pots > making altar. You should also alch charms crims and below & useless stuff since you have csb anyway - you should have a fire staff or empowered fire staff. And making a few nature runes takes 2 seconds. I'd like to be able to have 1 wingman (assist keyer) + 1 snape each dng, would help a lot. Of course, ideally it'd be keyer, snape, 2 wingman & 1 miner for ragers / assist money gatherer / altar maker / whatever. And of course do NOT skill when there's a gd up, so it can be hard to do much.

If you can key without a plate (you should be able to), sag body is a major improvement and it is also an offensive bind. People at 120 bind stupid [cabbage] too, tui. Well, it -was- suomi, so I would think he'd make the best choice. If I had 90 hunt / 99 craft + bothered to learn the dino trick I wouldn't mind keying without my plate much. Still, having keying be easier and saving overall food seems good. Some floors we starve.. + ko potential is reduced with plate. I see your point though that it'd be nice to have higher accuracy, especially for skele mages and stuff. Also, sag body is -10 accuracy in melees. So it is a tradeoff, and afaik most things you hex have very low range def.

Current binds: Prom 2h, Prom plate, Hood Ammo: Laws Would obviously prefer hex as 4th, but until then I will bind prom legs, maybe a blood necklace if I find one. I like being able to tank in gds and I key almost all my floors so I don't think blood neck would really be useful for me that much. Though I do somehow get berserker title while keying sometimes -.- During gds I usually attack non-aggresives first because I have a plate, although I am less inclined too if it's something that I might want to pray against. With platelegs I could tank enemies & save overall food, and make my keying job a lot easier. Also, with 4 binds w/ hex, is sag body really the best? I saw a 120 dnger w/ primal pl8 + hex + hood + prim 2h. Obviously if you don't key much sag body is better for dps, but if you key perhaps plate is better? I'd hate to have crappy 80 range def instead of 220 or whatever from my prom plate.

Don't bother with any pots other then the ones that use Lycopus/magebane, or winter's grip/wormwood. Other pots are almost never needed (I can only think of rejuv pots ever being used, and even those I don't think are ever used in rushes) Wat. I made rejuv pots for val while non-keying. I don't think I'd ever farm the herbs myself but you get them from chests and such, and while keying your pray gets drained pretty fast, it's annoying having to stop by an altar. So if you find buckthorns / featherfoils make them into rejuv pots & give to keyer if you get the chance. Otherwise though, there is a lot of useless information on that list that you might want to omit, val. And congrats vexn! You were pretty good. Take the ggs more damnit. Otherwise nice job!

He never uses his special attack if a crystal is activated. As soon as he has all 3 prays he can randomly use his special attack. So 3 people behind melee crystal, 1 behind range and 1 behind mage pretty much.

I approve~ But really it should be 45 def, 43 pray, 64 magic, 54 rc or 35 w/ laws bound, and 70+ atk / str highly recommended OR 90+ range/mage type thing. Without these stats it is very hard to do a fast dng. Also can we add somewhere that it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in giant colourful text to piety flash (or turm) during all gds. That's pretty much why I often steal the zerker title, and I key so there's really no reason why I should be getting it. I understand occasionally you might actually have 0 pray, but good piety flashing loses very little pray, the altars we see should be enough. I'll start asking people to gate altars more. And I understand that flashing prays during the dng is annoying, but I think it'd save a good amount of time on average per dng and while non-keying you really don't have to do nearly as much work, might as well repay the keyer by doing your best. AND I hear a lot of people complain about flashing turm, I don't have 95 pray so idk what exactly is wrong with it, but if it's that hard to use, does soul split > ease of use and slight bonuses of piety while pray flashing? I think with a hex normal prays would be nicer for rigour (although it's annoying to flash, even on sniper). Though I can't compare, so I am asking.

I've seen 2 soulgazers, 95 slay. 27.5m dng xp. I've heard they're about one per 5m dng xp with 99 slayer. And I heard bow drop is like 1/10.

And tank runs some squares away / ggses out when it groooars Lol I write everyone's name into swiftkit notepad at the begining to call gates, the ht keys and any near ht like org cres n n e ht, everyone's gate as I call them to gate it and sometimes which area of the dng it is. And if someone says they have a gd or puzzle they can't solo I write that too. Oh and altars if someone gates or n e n w ht if it's fairly near ht and nobody is making one. I have no memory, I would take 40 mins for my dngs before I wrote stuff down cuz I always had to run doors randomly since I hated to ask what someone had gated and I would never tell people to gate stuff. I try and write down stuff while rcing cosmics at begining, while doing gds, but sometimes I have to waste a few seconds typing while I should be running. So although those who can memorize the doors easily can probably become faster keyers, don't let it stop you, most of my fls are <30 now ^^, fastest at 22 occult :D Also sorry I had to leave mid floor today. First time in ages, but sometimes important things pop up. & at the where to learn to key thing, I learned from suiciding in w148, if that isn't evident in my keying style lmao.

Also I prefer to dng with my friends, so I dng with them, I dnged with chee and mc before dgs so I don't see much of a problem preferring them. If they're in a fl though I do just start my own, although yeah, ranks in general actually respond to my advertisements of floors.

Yeah.. but just saying, 35 is the highest floor for aban2. If I have 30-35 open, would I get more, less, or the same xp by doing 35 35 35 35 35 rather then 30 31 32 33 34 35. Doing 35 5 times is less xp than 30-35, which is 6 floors.
