Stephen: You ambush the men, and open fire. You hit the first one in some vital organs, killing him. You manage to shoot another one in the chest, wounding him moderately. You completely miss the third one. The two men return fire, one missing, but the other manages to get a shot on your arm, sustaining minor injuries. (specify what gun you use, since you have the dbs) -3 9mm rounds +0.3 handgun prof. Hakon: You fire on the remaining 3 zombified men, moderately injuring one, and missing the others. They return fire, but all miss. +0.1 handgun prof. -3 9mm rounds Varius/Enigma: You both open fire on the mutant, but miss. It spots you in the hills, and begins running towards you. -1 9mm round

I'll start once someone posts their actions.

Another update: Added more depth to faction territories. Significant territories discovered by a player will be listed under the faction details. If the territory is marked HQ, it is the factions base of operations. It is crucial to the faction, and if it is destroyed or taken over, it will cripple the faction significantly. Another element added is resource points. If a faction controls one of these, they will have higher-end equipment, along with their trader offering better gear. Keep in mind that this doesn't change their weapon or armor ratings. Players can also start their own factions, but in order to do so, they need a large number of followers, along with a significant territory to declare their HQ. Remember that a resource point will need to be captured if you want any decent weaponry.

Last round. Kemios: You stand guard, and the area seems clear. The sniper is patched up, and is being treated by the medic. The merc leader comes up to you, and says, "Without your help, we might have lost a few men today. I will make sure that this contract is worth your while. You will get your reward when the chopper gets here." He then takes out his radio, and calls in two transport helicopters, along with telling the ecologists that the area is clear.
  5. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: You fire at the last two creatures, missing the first one, but getting a headshot on the second. The pyro misses (again), along with the sniper. The medic manages to get a direct shot at the creature with his SPAS-12 shotgun. He then runs to the sniper, who is loosing blood fast. Everyone huddles around, and starts helping. +0.1 SMG prof. -2 5.7x28MM rounds Karl: The anomaly starts slightly eating away at your suit. You take some readings, but need more. A white light starts flashing on the detector.
  6. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Karl: You manage to gather some data on the anomaly without any trouble. You then travel to the anomaly field. The whole area is covered by a greenish-hue, and a red light on your detector starts flashing slightly. +0.3 gravity anomoly expertise Kemios: You open fire on the remaining creatures, killing two of them. The pyro misses again, but the medic manages to get the creature off him, wounding it slightly. The sniper misses with his pistol, and one of the creatures leaps at him, doing moderate damage. The merc leader knifes another creature lunging at him, killing it instantly. +0.2 SMG prof. -2 5.7x28MM rounds
  7. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: You hit the creature, doing major damage. It lets out a loud growl, and starts limping away. You get up, and recover. The pyro misses, and the medic is pinned down by one of the creatures. However, the sniper gets a well-placed shot with his pistol, and kills the creature pinning him down. The merc leader hits one of the creatures with his P90, doing major damage. There are now 5 creatures left. +0.3 SMG prof. -1 5.7x28MM rounds Karl: A crow flys into the distortion, and gets sucked in by it. Once it reaches the "center", the anomaly pulsates, causing the crow to be violently torn apart. You are hit by a small chunk of bird meat.
  8. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Karl: As you walk to the anomaly field, you come across several strange distortions in the air. They seem to be sucking in leaves and dirt. Kemios: You hear a growl, and out of nowhere, several strange creatures attack you and the team. They look slightly human, although they walk on all fours, along with having mutated claws and some sort of razor-sharp teeth. One of them pounces on you before you can get a shot, and claws you, doing minor damage. The pyro burns one of the creatures to a crisp, while the medic shoots one in the head with his SPAS-12 shotgun, blowing it to bits. The sniper is pinned down by another one of the creatures, and the leader gets a lethal shot at another creature, killing it. Another 4 come out from the shadows.
  9. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: The flashbang explodes, and you and the team quickly enter. The entire building seems dead. The merc team leader shouts, "Switch to thermal optics, now!" Karl: The professor says, "I don't have any big tasks for you until tomorrow. You can, however, take some basic readings for us in another anomaly field." He marks the location on your PDA, and lets you borrow the Mk I SP99-ECO suit (+2 chemical, biohazard, electrical, and fire defense, closed cycle breathing system, good radiation protection)
  10. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: You see something scuttle across the factory, but it is too dark to tell what. You count another ten dead bodies. The pyro gets his flamethrower ready, and the rest of the team lock and load their weapons. The pyro then prepares to throw a flashbang into the building. Karl: The professor responds, "The readings were precise, and hopefully this will help us understand the fire anomalies better."
  11. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: None of the men have a mirror. You check the dead bodies, which have claw and bite marks all over them. The medic states, "I've never seen anything like this. These bite marks don't resemble any animal that I have seen before. They almost look human, but not quite." You manage to find 200c along with another (12) 9mm rounds. One of the bodies has a PDA on it, which has a recording. "11:00 PM: Heard some strange noises outside, Jenkins went to investigate. 11:20 PM: Jenkins is dead! Some animal attacked him, and bit his jugular. Everyone is going out to investigate. 12:07 AM: What was that...[someone mumbles]. Wait, over there! Open fire [gunfire]! We're surrounded, somebody send an SOS signal, I repeat sombody sen-[static]" You find no sign of the attackers, but plenty of blood all over. The merc team moves up to the factory entrace, and one of them sends a snake camera through the door. Kurt: The professor approaches you, and says, "Our colleague is recovering fast. He has had a successful blood transfusion, and the wounds have been treated. If it was not for you help he would have died."
  12. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: The mercs were waiting for you. The group consists of 4 men, a medic, a sniper, a pyro, and the leader, which has a P90 as well. All of them are heavily armored, and seem quite experienced. You arrive at the factory, and spot around ten dead loners outside the entrance.
  13. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: The ecologist trader looks at you and says, "I usually don't do this, but since you are working on our contract, here are some 5.7x28MM rounds (20). I don't have any more until the next shipment arrives."
  14. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: The head of the merc groups tells you, "The ecologists gave us a contract to secure an area for them. It is an old cement plant to the northeast of here. We get a cut of the territory as well. However, we lost contact with a large group of loners that took up residence there."
  15. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: You get up, and look around the bunker. There is a head professor, a trader/repair man, several ecologists, and a group of mercs, probably the ones who you were sent to look for.
  16. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Well, if you get another person or two to come, I guess I could do a half-hour one.

Made several updates in the front page. First, the weapon system has been tweaked a little bit, check the update posted right above the player stats. Player info has also been updated. Also, if you haven't already, take a look at the faction stats for when the next session comes around (probably tomorrow)
  18. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Yes, I thought it could create some interesting situations. Of course, the players will influence the demise or victory of factions.

(Last round) Enigma/Varius: Even though it doesn't seem like the ideal hunting area, you manage to spot a mutant cat. It is huge, around the size of a lion. It looks similar to a cougar. Universal: Enigma has discovered the Duty and Monolith factions. Check the front page for more info.
  20. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Kemios: You wake up in some sort of bunker, being tended by a doctor. He says, "You almost died after being attacked by those zombified scavengers. Fortunately, your merc friends came across you and took you here. This is an ecologist base, by the way." You see Karl sitting down. Enigma: "This is a personal favor, but I want one of those mutant cat's heads mounted on my wall. I don't have the time to hunt one myself, but I will make it worth your while."
  21. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Enigma: The forces arrive fine. They seemed heavily armed, with some sort of light machine guns. One has a 50 cal sniper. The leader walks up to you, and hands you 200c along with a civilian gas mask (+1 chemical defense, minor protection vs. radioactive dust) Varius: You examine the object, but cannot make anything out of it. You destroy it. After giving Enigma his reward, the commander comes over and hands you a civilian gas mask (+1 chemical defense, minor protection vs. radioactive dust) as well. +0.1 salvage Hakon: You hit one of the zombies, killing it. You miss the second and third ones, but you get a well placed shot in the heart on the fourth one. The remaining two stumble around and don't even shoot. Dog doesn't come back, and remains in hiding. +0.3 handgun prof. Karl: You make it back to the bunker, but the ecologist seems in critical condition. He is taken to the surgeon right away to be treated. A doctor comes up to you, and examines your wrist. Fortunately, it is your left hand, and he puts a splint on it. "Don't use it for a few days, and it will heal", he says.
  22. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Enigma: The commander curses, and then says, "I can't believe that they have made it to the outer borders so fast! You have just gotten a first-hand experiece with the Monolithians, a hostile cult that has recently been quickly spreading out from the deeper parts of the zone. They don't reason, and will kill anyone who is not theirs. I am sending a team over there to retake the outpost as we speak. One of them will have something for you."
  23. paul191600 replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Hakon: The men don't seem to notice you. They continue making moaning noises. Enigma: You note that the men are wearing a brown/white cammo. You remember making out the word "monolith" when they were chanting. (oh, and yes, I am on a ski trip)
