Karl: A large bolt of electricity fires out of your left hand, hitting the metal rod, causing it to explode. Fortunately, it hurts nobody, and everyone starts cheering. (you got lucky with the artifact, rolled a 20) Kemios: You go full auto on the monolithains, getting a headshot on the first one, killing the second, and wounding the last two. They return fire, and one of them hits you in the arm. You start bleeding, and notice you are out of ammo for the p90. +0.3 SMG prof. Stephen: The man responds, "My name is not important. You are currently at the CS Corporation mobile facility. We are here purely for the research of the artifacts, and their uses for humanity's advancement. You just had your memories examined, which had some useful information for us regarding the zone. We also need someone that is experienced with the zone to help us continue our studies. Are you interested?"

Karl: The professor nods, and points to a metal rod on the other side of the room. "Concentrate on it." Kemios: You see the helicopter, crashed on a hill. There are 4 monolithians surrounding it. Stephen: You ease your mind, and fell as if your thoughts are being probed at. After a short time, the strange sensation goes away, and a man enters the room. He asks, "I'm sure that you have plenty of questions."

Karl: You wake up, surrounded by a team of ecologists. Your left arm feels...tingly. The professor nods, and everyone seems quite excited. Keimos: "We can't spare any men right now." The trader fiddles with your kevlar vest for a while, and modifies it so that it now also has +1 fire protection. He also hands you 200c. Earth: You and the team start shooting at the cats, killing one of them. They start running towards you. +0.1 handgun prof -1 9mm round Varius/Kimako: You both return to the base, with the bag of loot. The commander tells you, "Thanks to you, we have gained the advantage against freedom, along with taking their forest outpost. Here is a little something for your trouble." He hands you both (and Enigma) 600c. Stephen: You wake up on a table, with something strapped to your head. A voice on an intercom states, "If you just ease your mind, we can make this easy. If you resist, we can do this the hard way..."

Karl: They begin the operation and modifications to your artifact container. (5min) Kimako/Enigma/Varius: Total loot found: (2) Ak-47 (average quality, poor condition, 30 round clip, uses 7.62mm) looks like they need repair... You spot three large mutant cats. Kemios: The merc trader says, "While you were away, another helicopter was taken down by an RPG. Find it, and any survivors." Stephen: You approach the men in the bio-suits, and one of them stuns you with some eletrical device. They carry you off.

Earth: You sell the PDA for 100c, since you already have one. The trader tells you that the loners are organizing a hunting party. Kemios: You loot an Armsel Striker (good quality, good condition), 200c, and some buckshot (19). You board the helicopter, and safely ride back to the cement plant with the pilot and wounded merc. You hear radio chatter stating that the mercs have secured the landing pad/hangar area. Kimako/Varius/Enigma: The duty members exicute the remaining freedom faction members. You see another ten duty members moving in to secure the base. The freedom commander has been captured, but the trader was killed. Karl: The professor responds, "Quite remarkable! This artifact seems to protect the user from eletrical currents, by dispersing it! I have a proposition for you. Would you be willing to be part of an experiment, in the name of science? We have established the theory that an artifact can bestow it's properties on a user, rather than just protecting him!" Stephen: You come across a patrol of 3 men, all wearing some remarkable bio-suits.

Enigma: You patch yourself up, and stop the bleeding. However, you are still going to need medical attention. You don't see any freedom members that are nearby. +0.2 medic Varius: You rush up to Enigma, who seems to have already healed himself. You don't see any freedom troops in the close area, although you spot some gunfire near the barracks. You hide in the shadows. +0.1 stealth Karl: The professor says, "Bravo! Now we will be able to complete the SP99 Mk.II suit, thanks for your help. It should be finished by tomorrow!" He hands you a SP99 Mk.I suit (+2 fire, eletrical and chemical protection, closed cycle breathing system, moderate radiation protection), but you won't be able to wear a helmet/gas mask with it. Kimako: The Duty squad split up, and locate another 6 freedom members, opening fire. They kill 4 of them, and the last two panic. You return fire, but miss. -2 9mm rounds Earth: The rodents have no loot, so you return back to the loner trader, who rewards you with a PDA and 200c. Stephen: The ecologist responds, "Excellent! With these readings, we should be able to improve the PSY helmet, along with figuring out the source of the PSY emissions! It will take some time, though" He hands you a basic bulletproof vest (+1 ballistics defense, +1 melee defense), and lets you keep the basic detector.

They switch on their headlamps, end enter the dark mine. You figure that you better do the same. Stephen: You lunge at one of the dogs with your knife, and stab it in the neck, killing it. (Last round) Kemios: You get on the helicopter, and take the ride back. You get about halfway to the cement plant before you hear a loud noise come from below. Suddenly, the helicopter is hit by an RPG, and the pilot yells, "Mayday, Mayday! We are going down near a helipad and small hanger!" The helicopter crash lands on the helipad, ironically. UPDATE: Several faction changes to announce: -After the blowout, there has been a surge in the zombie population, and several teams have gone missing from: Loners, Duty, Freedom, Mercenaries, UN security. -Earthsage has discovered a loner base and resource point, the quarry. -Kemios has helped the ecologists expand their territory to the hill encampment. -The mercs and ecologists have recieved new recruits and reinforcements, boosting their numbers. -Duty has captured the boneyard (resource point), and had a recruitment surge. -Loners organized several "hunting parties" and killed off a small number of mutants. -A strange group known as the "TZDF" has taken residence in an old power plant. Very little is known about this faction, except their fanatical devotion to killing zombies.

Karl: The professor says, "There are several anomaly fields we know of so far. The first is the scorched earth, which is the first anomaly you went to. The second was the chemical swamp, which you also examined. The third is the iron forest, which is filled with electrical anomalies. We would like you to test out a prototype suit that we have been working on, so that it can be perfected, along with taking more readings." Kemios: The ecologists finish setting up the antenna, and you see a helicopter fly overhead, hauling some small mobile trailer. It drops it off, and then lands. Two ecologists and three mercenaries come out, and begin setting up deployable cover around the antenna. The wounded merc is then placed in the helicopter, and you are offered a ride back to the cement plant.

Kemios: You help patch up the wounded merc, using his medkit. Thanks to your help, he is now in stable condition, and will most likely live. You loot the monolithians, and find a medkit, 100c. and (7) 5.7x28MM rounds. +0.2 medic +0.1 salvage Karl: You are congratulated by the professor, who remarks, "I am glad that you have decided to join us. Before we continue, let me present you with this permit to operate in the deadzone as an ecologist. The UN security forces shouldn't give you too much trouble if you present these documents, but it ultimately depends on the officer you are dealing with."

Kemios: You take another shot at the final monolithain, and hit him in the abdominal region. He clenches his stomach, falls over, and dies. You use a makeshift bandage to patch up your arm, saving your medkit for later. One of the mercs is still bleeding on the ground, and his companion rushes over to help him. The ecologists are almost finished setting up the antenna. +0.1 SMG prof. -1 5.7x28MM round

Karl: The professor seems baffled, swipes your detector, and checks the readings. "I've never seen anything like this! It appears that time itself has been looped near this anomaly. I will need this detector for a while, so that I can continue studying the strange properties of this anomaly. You have been a valuable asset to us, and I would like to formally give you the opportunity of joining the ecologists." Kemios: You continue to fire at the monolith forces, moderately wounding one, but missing the other. The merc with the anti-material rifle fires on the wounded man, and finishes him off. The other merc is on the ground, bleeding. The final monolithian fires at you, and you hit in the left arm, doing mild damage. +0.1 SMG prof. -2 5.7x28MM rounds

Kemios: The merc with the anti-material rifle fires on the monolith forces, blowing a hole through one of the the monolithains, killing him. The other merc opens fire with his FN F2000, but misses. You begin shooting at the remaining men, missing two, but hit one directly in the head. The two remaining men open fire on you and one of the mercs, moderately wounding the merc with the AR, but only knocking the wind out of you, due to the kevlar vest. +0.2 smg prof. -3 5.7x28MM rounds

Karl: Before you can ask, the professor remarks, "What happened? The mercs came back fine, and said that there was no problem! Something seems very strange here." Kemios: Sure enough, the area being empty was too good to be true. You see 5 monolith members moving in, and fast.

Kemios: You and the mercs escort the ecologists to the hill. You arrive without any trouble, and the ecologists begin setting up the antenna. Karl: You still see nothing, and the anomaly is gone. You figure you better head back to the bunker, so you do.

Kemios: Two mercs decide to come with you. One has a FN F2000, and the other has a Barrett M82. Karl: Everything looks normal.
