  1. You could try giving cave horrors a try, they have decent drops and are safe-spottable.
  2. At 76 prayer, I was getting an extra 3 prayer points per dose, that's an increase of 12 prayer points per potion with reverence. Why don't we just let the people in the meta-game discussion sort this.
  3. Dragonstone has better uses now like with the ring of wealth providing teleports. I'm not 100% sure why though. Dragonstone bolts (e) are worth more by the way and at the moment the bolts are dropping.
  4. Was there a need for that sarcastic comment? The spaces that the 3 prayer potions took up could be used for something else. What if someone was pietying in bandos armour? That would use up more prayer potions than if they were wearing proselyte so prayer bonus should be thought about when using reverence as well. Reverence also increases the amount of prayer points restored.
  5. If the OP is going to piety then it would be a good idea to replace Torag's legs with a Verac's skirt.
  6. Reverence is good in areas that you use a lot of prayer points such as pietying slayer tasks. Each aura has their own uses and you should only get one if you want one and only if it is somewhat useful to you.
  7. You stop failing at 75 but you almost never fail at around level 72.
  8. That's essentially our stance on the matter. Because personal experience claims have proven to be wrong in the past. There's a big disparity between 2h and battleaxe anyways. It's possible that for some monsters, 2h is good to slash even if they're weaker to crush. Anyways, our stance is that we should avoid comments revolving around personal experience. It's fine to bring up personal experience. But if your post is only about a single personal experience, it's kinda spammy. Would it not be best to put that on the front page somewhere then to make it obvious about your stance on personal experiences in this thread, to make sure that there is less spammy threads?
  9. Slash Do you have data? If you don't, please don't make such a concise post without stating that you do not know this within a reasonable degree of certainty. I believe with a 2h - you go with slash Anyhow, I finally have internet connection again! I was wondering - it seems like the choosing of the 3rd bind is dependent on the monsters on the floors. It seems like on occults (I usually do them as ffs/tfs), that there are tons of spiders/shades/hellhounds that would make a rapier a decent choice for a bind However, since DGS seems to advocate the gauntlet over the rapier - I was wondering, what are common monsters found in warped floors? We sufficient data on hobgoblins. Nor do we have sufficient data on the other monsters green has mentioned. The same goes for the other monsters mentioned by mr greens. I'd rather that DGS not take a stance on these monsters yet, and collect some data instead. Just my personal experience, I believe though that crush and slash are almost equal.
  10. Kill hill giants and bury/save bones for gilded altar.
  11. Black dragons are good if you can kill in the evil chickens lair or have the agility level for the shortcut to poison spiders in taverley dungeon.
  12. You should wear verac's skirt and helmet firstly. When the healers spawn activate steel skin and try to line them up so only one is attacking you. I think they have updated it so if you kill all of the healers before they heal Jad to full then they wont spawn again. They heal Jad if they are healing but also if they attack you they can heal Jad.
  13. Also forgot to mention you should be using the best fishing urn you can.
  14. Could i still low alch (or is it hi alch) the fish and do barbarian fishing? What are the xp rates? Fishing xp rates are up to 75k-80k an hour with this method and yes you can, high alchemy. Is it worth fly fishing? At your level you should do barbarian fishing to 90 then rocktails. Are rocktails good? And if so at what level? Rocktails are good as soon as you can fish them, there are better xp rates but rocktails also give a decent amount of profit.
  15. Could you post your fishing level please? Answer in bold.
  16. I think you should do dragons then or black demons, I can't think of any other place for pures.
  17. Unfortunately we really do ask that our applicants have at least 150 posts :( If you are a couple posts (like 5) short that's fine but you're about 60 short and that's quite a lot :( We really need post count for a few reasons: It shows involvement and activity. We need moderators who are around a lot, have free time to dedicate to the site, and regularly engage with the community. While we do look for good moderator qualities, it is also fairly important to us that moderators be known within the community and post count helps with that. It's not meant to be a popularity contest but the role of a moderator is to be a community leader, interact with the community, and be a spokesperson for the community (in addition to the typical moderator stuff like removing bad content). So being known within the community helps with that, also because regular users like having moderators that they know well and see around a lot. A higher post count allows us to get a sense of the candidate's personality, behavior and longstanding dedication to Tip.It. If you only have a few posts, it's really not enough for us to get a good sense of who you are over a long period of time. It gives us reassurance and backs up what you say in your application. If someone writes in their application that they're very dedicated to Tip.It and have a lot of time to moderate the forums and they love getting involved, it doesn't hold much weight without evidence. So for the dedication, we like to see people who have been around a while and have been consistently active for that time. We understand people take vacations, have real life stuff, etc. but it's easier to see the consistency through the vacations if you've been around longer. For the time part, this is also where post count comes in handy. If someone is posting a lot, that's proof that they spend a decent amount of time on Tip.It and thus also have time to dedicate to being a moderator. And for involvement, we really look for people who are in touch with the community and strive to be a part of it. Don't misunderstand that we think "the higher post count the better moderator," because that's certainly not true! But the above points explain why we do set some minimum standards. We have had some fabulous moderators who came on board with only 300 posts, and there are some forum users with thousands of posts who would not make great moderators. Honestly the big problem is that with so few posts, you'd have a hard time matching up against the other candidates who do meet the post count requirement. Even if you present yourself really well in an application and seemingly meet the other qualities we're looking for, you'll probably be outshone by the people who have the same qualities but also have a higher post count. You can always work on engaging more in preparation for the next recruitment drive :) I can see your reasoning and thanks for the reply.
  18. So are you a pure of some sort?
  19. Maybe try some short quests that give prayer experience, short and cost effective.
  20. If you piety your tasks then the prayer one would definitely worth it.
  21. Dragons? Maybe armadyl gwd with a team? Cannoning black demons? It really depends on what you find fun.
  22. Is 150 posts an absolute requirement? I say this because since I have joined, I have had to prepare and study for exams which is why I have a low post count. I have only recently been able to start posting daily or every few days.
  23. This was about the maximum amount of alchs an hour, slaying or anything that would interrupt it would reduce the amount cast an hour. It is still a valid point. Not getting the max number of alches can be more efficient if the reason is doing something else like slaying or fishing. That way you'd be getting the normal amount of exp while training a skill, and get the bonus exp from alching while training that skill. I can see that point but I think the maximum amount would be asked usually if someone was training purely magic. Otherwise superheat would be a good alternative as well. However I will not say your wrong because the OP hasn't said otherwise.
  24. This was about the maximum amount of alchs an hour, slaying or anything that would interrupt it would reduce the amount cast an hour.
