17th November 2009 - Potions, Spells and Runes
Just to throw this in, I did a trip to the nature altar. I'm going to compare it to Astral crafting a bit later, hence why I dismissed the Spirit Graahk earlier: I have 90 Runecrafting I was holding 54 pure essence per inventory. Crafting between 80 (lowest recorded) to 95 (highest recorded) of nature runes per run. With the majority of those trips being under 87 runes. In 41 minutes of Nature Rune crafting I produced 2734 Nature Runes. I have no idea if that's helpful for anyone, but it's there. Setting myself up now to do an Astral rune crafting trip, but i'll start it in the next hour. Want to personally see for myself which one is currently better for me, or if I should just go back to the ZMI altar.

17th November 2009 - Potions, Spells and Runes
Needed to repair my pouches so decided to visit the Nature Altar instead of the bloody altar, I made 96 Nature runes out of 58 pure essence, 20 less than if I made them at 91. Guess I may as well start nature crafting now whilst there's still some money to be made from it.

17th November 2009 - Potions, Spells and Runes
Unforunatly no <_< Went there with 20 ess, boosted to 100 RC with cape, got 20 laws... After reading up on everything, I think this is something Jagex should change, especially since I'm nearing 91 runecrafting and I'm basically getting screwed over! Jagex need to give an incentive for people who are now going to be suffering from this update, and potentially getting 'double' laws, every few runs would definitely be a step in a good direction.

17th November 2009 - Potions, Spells and Runes
Just had the thought that wouldn't someone at 99 runecrafting be practically making double law runes every couple of runs (9 levels away from theoretical double laws)? With a bit of experimenting to see. Perhaps they could become the profitable runes to make for master runecrafters? Not very likely, but maybe someone should experiment, duelling rings + hot air balloons or via abyss? Edit - looks like Steiner had a similar idea to me

I'll add the patch notes. Looks like a good update for me, more excuses to stick to the original spell book for me. Nearing 91 runecrafting so that will give some benefit to me when making double nats! And it's nice that those extreme potions are starting to get more of a purpose again, but still, they should never of been taking out of PvP in my opinion. *sigh* Looks like I won't be doing any more work for uni today >_<

Sadly looks like it is just literally the surge spells. So I wonder if Jagex are going to add some other small updates to come along with them. Edit - And the RSOF has listed the update!

RSC Trial-Period Over
I think it is, I do seem to remember using it to complete Heroes Quest. If you don't want to waste runes, you could always just walk there

Perhaps it'll be a Leprechaun graphical update... But on a serious note, I haven't the foggiest now, curse all the various hints!

POLL: RuneScape Classic
Yes I died 4 times on that, the demon kept draining my prayer, although it was over 6 years ago I remember losing 2 friends rune hatchets because you HAD to use a rune one *RAGE* (I went hard route and had to fight demon 3 times wasn't fun lol) You'll be in my prayers   Hope your prayers will still be sent to me in a years time! I knew I had a few levels to raise but errr, there's more levelling to do than I first anticipated  and the joy of trying to get back full rune, dragonstone amulet and save up to buy a dragon longsword are also going to push that further back! >_<

RSC Trial-Period Over
Had a more productive day on RSC ^_^ Decided to completely focus on thieving, so far I've made 10k and got from level 30 to 37, slowly working up to level 42 for Temple of Ikov, and may go further in thieving to make up the cash I need to buy rune armour and other stuff.

POLL: RuneScape Classic
Didn't lose my original access but it has inspired me to spend a bit of time on it here and there to slowly finish up Legends quest, that was my final goal of RSC that I never achieved. And it also stops my friends from dangling it above my head with all those years of them saying how much better than me they are for completing it when it was harder!

RSC Trial-Period Over
I'm also working towards completing Legends quest, also need to do Temple of Ikov!! Man, can't believe how low my stats were before I crossed over to RS2, just goes to show how much faster and easier things got. I am really, really struggling to build my character back up. Today I managed to get my fletching up to level 12, and bought a addy pickaxe. That's about it  spent about an hour just travelling backwards and forwards from ardy to falador. Think I might just spend my time fishing for lobsters/swordfish, I assume there'll be more demand for food from pkers than from people wanting ores for smithing.

I think it'll be a graphical update to spells, who knows, maybe some bloom effects will come with them.

Part of your gloves are sticking to the whip?

RSC Trial-Period Over
The transfer of items from RSC to RS have pretty much crippled me :( I would love to go back to RSC and try to finally complete Legends Quest, but I can't be bothered with the effort of regaining full rune and a dragonstone amulet :/ I'm sat at Seers bank with practically nothing in my bank except for full mith (my friend made it when we returned to it last year) and cooking gauntlets. Ah well. Hehe, it's nice being classed as a 'Veteran' player though :)

A productive day for me, managed to get a bit ahead of my university work and got a chance to have a good crack at runescape. First I got this: Then decided I should try to get 99 Defence and HP, just to have a slight break from RCing so I don't burn out, got my first task in ages, 160 abby demons, still doing it now but I got this a little earlier in the task, bringing my whip count up to 6 I think: That'll do as a lovely little placeholder in my bank. <3: Edit - And yes I did fail on getting the correct food for my ickle birdy! And I also had to drop the whip to take a pic since I just picked it up without thinking about it, they are very hard to see in the Abyss!

09-Nov-2009 - Champions Challenge Update and Hairstyles
Wow, very nice Val  I swear when these finally drop it's shortly after you arrive/log for that session. My only scroll (zombie) only took me about 5 of them that day :D Hmmm this is true for me, I got my Giant's challenge soon after logging back in the next day of camping them, and I got my Hobgoblin one soon after I logged back in after switching computers.

you can brag about the song with the banner. Although it'd be nicer if we could have a music cape or something to prove we've unlocked all songs. And there's also a new song for people to unlock, on the upper floors of lumby castle.

Apparently one is a dwarf champion? Although I find that unlikely since there is already a Dwarf Champion, kicking it back on a seat as a Champion of Champions.

Well i'm glad that apparently the leprechaun is in a training room and doesn't unlock Victory is Mine. Atleast actual champion challengers still have something to brag about!

09-Nov-2009 - Champions Challenge Update and Hairstyles
I was expecting a bigger update based upon the Twitter updates but I'm actually not disappointed! Bit of a kick in the face that I went into battle five times with the Jad over the last couple of days to try and get a fire cape placeholder and if I waited a bit I would of got double the amount of tokkul! :wall: Oh well, to be honest, I'm quite happy with all these small fixes, just slightly annoyed though that pretty much everyone can now unlock 'victory is mine' something which took me several years of blood, sweat and tears to unlock, and not gaining a particular rewarding item or whatnot to make up for it. But everything else I like, think it's time to get a haircut! :)

How didn't I think of that. Still sticking with Tower of Life 2. :P Or some new high level dungeon that they have secretly been working on? I actually do remember that MMG stated in one of the QA sessions that they are working on a dungeon with some unique death system or something...I will see if I can find that post. The Medusa boss dungeon? If that's what you're thinking of, it's just a concept. But ooooooo, I'm looking forward to next week now! :D
