Sirenic Armour- 22nd October
why should it be comparable in price to ports armor? That's like saying a seismic orb should be comparable in price to a dragon kiteshield. Currently the only armor it needs to be balanced with is Tectonic, the other T90 power armor, and it's way too common (or perhaps more accurately tectonic is way too rare) for that. Comparing it to an outdated, useless weapon is a poor comparison. Also saying that high-level money making methods are declining is just flat out incorrect. PS [bleep] the new quote system

Sirenic Armour- 22nd October
60k hits, not 60k damage. There is a huge differece. If you bothered to read carefully, you would know that. It's a 100,000 charges if you look in the wiki. No idea what a charge is but I can take a conservative guess and say it's a point of damage. (after 8 years with Jagex, i know them well) So there you get 2 hours... hoo hum. Oh and if you wanted more facts it takes 84 scales and 6 pieces of thread to make the armour set. Thats 87mil if scales are sold at the GE starting price of 1mil each. Very unlikely since the only things that drop them are the stuff in the day glow place with the fake guthix. and 3 slayer tasks (spiritual mages, aquanites, and dark beasts). So 87mil+ for 2 hours of styling like a space jelly. Award winning update here, as awesome as that pvp armour was.... this is a way better update than that prestige system. We definitely had to vote that shit down and save the sanctity of the highscores. Hey, do it for the no-lifers if you haven't. They need your help. After 8 years with Jagex, you appear to be comparatively clueless about how armors degrade. There is no armor in game that takes one charge per point of damage. However, every single degradable armor degrades based on number of hits. So I am gonna go out on a limb and say that, since ALL degradable armors (including sirenic and tectonic) degrade based on number of hits and not damage taken, so also must sirenic and tectonic degrade based on number of hits and not damage taken. Clearly, you do not actually know anything about Jagex, notwithstanding the short time you have been playing Runescape. What's long if 8 years is short. 10,12? (I don't think you can get more than 12 and be legit) I remember when armour degradation used to make sense. When it was based on a combat timer. It was simple and it worked. Then the PVP armour came out and the cry babies tantrumed over the armour disappearing from monster tags as they ran about. So instead of making PVP armour decent, they made the whole armour degradation mechanic a nebulous black hole of charges, hits, rounds, damage, dice rolls and go knows whatever. The best was when different armour had different degrade machanics. Oh wait, they still do. My Tzhaar armour shows charges and my virtus armour shows percents. Yeah so what does space jelly show when it takes a hit? Now that's a 100mil gold coin question. Or if you have 2 billion then you can figure out tectonic bath robes. who cares what it shows? You get hit 60000 times (that's a hit of 100000=0=4=1743=one charge) it degrades. I don't see what's that hard to understand. I think it's a poor mechanic because it makes the armor useless in areas where you're getting hit by multiple things (DKs) but it's not that hard to understand. It's the same as DG shields iirc.

I'm not sure there's a fair way to judge who the super wealth is. Is the top 15 player pumping billions into skills judged the same way as a wealthy dicer with three phat sets and a max spirit shard stack? Even with a GE tax one of those groups is heavily impacted while the other isn't.

Hopefully. The game needs high level content and by its very nature it will be inaccessible to most. I can't afford ascensions, seismics, or any of the t90 gear, but I don't think that means its bad to have updates that cater to those groups. The only issue I have is how boss-centric it all is. It took quite a while to get skiller armours like pop and then they started replacing it so soon afterwards. The issue isn't that its so expensive, the issue is that skilling makes so much less than bossing that skillers can't afford it. Yes it is a bad thing. Expecting people to save up for 3.6b for T90 wands/orbs is ridiculous. It's not comparable at all to getting PoP (which were reasonable). It's one thing to give high-levels something to work for, it's another to have an items that are worth 3.6B. it's not ridiculous that tier 90 is 3.6b, it's ridiculous that t90 mage is 3.6b, while t90 melee is 150m and range is 450m. It undermines all the balancing (lol) of EoC.

because shields are SOOOO USEFUL I'm a defence fanatic, so yes, for me it is cool. go back to efficiencyplaying. DW is better defensively then a shield. It'd be great of shields were useful/necessary for pvm, but as of now they're only useful for their abilities in a few places where jagex has forced them to be useful. Hopefully we'll get tier 90 barrows set effects that will make them useful.

which is a good thing. Tier 85 armor should be for 85-90 defense players, not maxed players. and I agree that ports isn't high level content. Now a days 90 in a skill is easy. I do think the requirements need to be lowered to 85 to be consistent with the armor tier however.

Evolution of PVP combat!
I never understand this line of argument. One of the biggest lines of argument prior to EoC was it was boring/stupid because in each level range of gear there was 1 or 2 items to be used the and rest was pointless, so they fixed it now within a given tier every single weapon is a viable option creating more variety. I'd say we have LESS variety now. Every weapon does exactly the same thing, it doesn't matter that they look different or have a different name. Before (in PvP at least) 2hs etc had niche uses (range 2hing, switching from whip to dh for a sudden big hit). We have abilities for that now. but all weapons have the same abilities. There is no variety but tiers and 2h/DW, which DW wins in 85% of situations (and every pvp situation).

I think Saradomin can be reasonably certain that Zamorak won't try and openly confront him again, considering he just suffered a defeat in such a confrontation.

I don't remember Mierin being in Die Another Day.I really enjoyed this quest, but I think that jagex needs to rethink their idea of restarting all the quests. As a new player, jumping into MPD as your first members quest would be ridiculously confusing. You would have no idea who most of the characters are (esp. Ichthalarian and Silske). I like the idea of making quests accessible to everyone but I think this should be done by removing skill requirements from all quests and scaling combat (but better then it was done in this quest). Leave the requirements to claim the rewards, and leave the quest requirements in their logical order. I highly doubt a new player's first quest will be a member quest on the opposite end of the continent from where you start. first MEMBERS quest. Which is very possible as it's directly on the way to one of the larger members areas, and all the dead monks dry interest to the quest. [hide]I think Sliske added the Brassica Prime podium just for the sake of mocking the other gods, as if he viewed them in a similar tier to the cabbage god. Or are you wondering why Jagex decided to take their hidden April Fools' content and turn it into an actual god? Lol[/hide] They have sorted of hinted, I think, on the podcasts, that Bassica Prime is here because of 'popular demand' (not necessarily in this quest, but its continued appearances in the game). Inb4 Brassica Prime wins Silskes contest

Im not sure you can survive off just soulsplit with warpriest. Certainly not while pushing your KPH (in a max kph situation you're getting spawned on in >50% of kills). I don't think it's ever worth using. With maxed gear (pernix+drygores+ovls) the damage boost from Torva is going to be a bigger boost then the accuracy benefits anyway. I'm sure a very strong mathematical argument could be made for bringing nex switches, but ultimately between the effort required and the increased risk I don't think it's worth it.
