  1. if you can afford a MH asc, but not an OH, an offhand chaotic crossbow is worth getting.
  2. I'm pretty sure this acts as the opposite of a money sink, it takes money from high level, high wealth players who have the extra gp just sitting around to buy bonds for membs/spins/solomons etc. and puts it in the hands of the low level players who then have money to spend on skilling resources, bandos, drygores, etc. causing a rise in demand for those objects. Since it's not really a money sink (there's no reason to trade them twice), it's just moving GP from high wealth players (who create little demand for 'everyday' items, as they're maxed/have all the equipment they need), to low wealth players who put this wealth back into circulation in the market, causing inflation.
  3. no, if you assume .5 small lamps per spin (generous), you're looking at 200 gp/xp, whcih is ridiculously high. Div, rc, and agil might be effective if you value your time really high (stakers/voragoers/merchers) or your irl time high.
  4. why is brassica prime becoming a thing? He should have just stayed a stupid throw away joke like he belonged.
  5. please no. EDIT: Got both it, and 3s company on the 25th frozen med

    like a monthish ago?
  7. they heard ogres are easily confused by stripes.
  8. 98 smith this weekend+some more dks (got the "I killed many dagannoth kings" message for only the second time ever...yay dry streaks). Been slowly working through dg tasks too. Just frost dragon and 3's company to go for meds, done 22 frozen meds without seeing either.
  9. ....you enter a PoH. With 5 people in it. I think w31 is the house party world.
  10. I don't know why we'd have to wait for a game update though. Turning bonus div xp on is such a tiny update.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBh4TWJ_Ktc that is how I imagine this ending
  12. Which is obviously why so many people do it causing there to be massive death lists and the wand and orb to lower in value thanks to the increased supply...oh no wait the death list is minute and the wand and orb just keep going up. Of course there is a feasibility there the trouble, to me, is the payout vs the risk only works out well if you are part of the minute super elite that can kill him slickly and consistently AND you constantly kill him for days at a time to ensure you get the payout from one of the rarer drops. Plus as soon as more people get remotely good at him and the wand and orb crash that pay out will quickly dwindle to nothingness. I mean how well will wands and orbs even sell at these ridiculous values before the equally small uber rich market has their fill and no-one is left to buy them? Of course at that point coinsharing them would be an option but again it'd be a massive tank to the payout. I'm not sure what you're even talking about here. You're saying that only endgame players can kill an endgame boss? yeah, that's how it usually works. And you actually have to put in time to gain rewards? oh no! :ohnoes: The demand for wands and orbs is huge, even if a good portion of that demand can't currently afford them (keep in mind that as wand+orb decrease in price more people can afford them). Vorago will eventually get easier due to updates (see also: Nex). As vorago gets easier kill rates will increase, causing an approximate equalization of profits despite falling wand+orb prices. Ambler does a lot of Vorago and knows what he's talking about. It's good money, the problem is that team dynamics don't work very well in Runescape and finding a competent team is difficult for the average maxed combat player.
  13. I will take one for the team and offer my rc assists to you.
  14. 94 rc from challenges, once school eases up some, I'll get 99 smith.
  15. anyone else see the face or am I just crazy?
  16. I read that as back nipples
  17. so you're saying that players don't want their rewards to be useful? not everyone will wait until they have a 98 in a slow skill to use a lamp on, whether it's because they value the aura more then ~45 minutes of xp, or because they just don't care that much, but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't prefer the reward to actually do something. Refunds aren't rewards. Yes they are. Jagex is rewarding you for the time you spent doing the tasks that could have been spent doing something useful (IE gaining xp).
  18. 102 dg, closing in on 93 hunt and 94 rc pretty quick, ty super september.
  19. I like how the Duke didn't even get new chat options that say that he's ran out of money or anything, the crises management menu just doesn't exist anymore.
  20. really all their doing is keeping me from using their content until I have 98 in a slow skill. I mean, really jagex? 60k xp is an hour in the slowest skill in game and <20 minutes in most skills. There's no reason for it to have an absurd requirement, I was always under the impression the lamps were to refund us for the time we spend putting up with bullshit tasks (I'm looking at you, frost dragon).
  21. saru sniped and bxp sniped creeping on CD
  22. more DKs for hatchet #53 today. My current average at dks is 6.5m/hr counting banking. Also did most of the dg tasks today, just a few annoying+div ones left (reset, maxed ring, sinkholes, frost dragon etc). 92 hunt yesterday from draconic challenge, should get 102 dg tomorrow.
  23. yeah, in terms of ingame time the fastest way to train dg is to do 1 solo guidemode small per day. By that logic having larges/team dgs at all isn't worthwhile.
  24. I dunno I can see why they don't allow that. I mean solo meds are only worthwhile if you are pretty fast at them, solo large are gonna be next to impossible to do fast enough to be worthwhile. I mean when you consider 20-40mins ball park (subject on how good ur team is and slightly ignoring uber times msot cant hit) is taken for a 5 man team to clear everything, you are talking 3-5 times that for someone to do it alone and a 60-200min floor... a 20-40 minute average for a competent team is really bad. Collam Daan times are like 10-20 minutes and while we're all fairly competent, we aren't top-notch-dg-10-hours-a-day-miss-no-ticks DGers. The DGS solo large record times are all sub 20. I think someone with a reasonable knowledge of DGing could consistently get sub 40 times in a 1:1 large.
  25. "No, no, only TWO spins were covered in the ticket price. You have to pay extra after that."
