The Back Room
The newer Simcities are really great. If you search for mods, you can add all kinds of useful roads and stuff, including light rail. Lots of fun.

Well you could download the Halo: Combat Evolved Demo, for the computer. The total war series is great, if you like seeing huge numbers of soldiers kill each other. For a decent computer, Medieval 2: Total war is good, but if your computer can take it, maybe the newer Empire: Total war or Napoleanic: Total War. Age of Empires is an old favorite.

I was going to build granaries, but I don't even know if my reforms are producing excess food or not. My suggestion was in a PM that I sent.

Right, I missed that. :) I will wait for Dusty to confirm that I need to buy any food though, since maybe the five million deducted was already for that. While Dusty wasn't sure if he should even give me a bonus for huge agricultural reforms, at the very least it should make Russia bountiful < lack of famine.

Certainly, no one is going to be dying. Whatever I do, I will purchase bread from any other country than Prussia, because you are trying to exploit it and gain profit. If you came upfront and told me that you wanted to make a profit, then it might be different. I am trying to find the article Rocco. :)

Well I was buying bread, but not from Prussia. I was purchasing from the wealthier farmers in Russia, who have hundreds of acres of land. Keeps the money in the country.

Isn't aid supposed to be free? Prussian merchants are undercut by the Russian government, which is giving out the bread for free. Net loss of 2.5 ducats for Prussia and a lot of bread. :P

Russia spends five million on providing food for the somehow-starving peasants. The Prussian leaflet arrived after a few weeks, and Russian fact-checkers quickly point out that the information is false. It also contains harmful information, so they are shipped back to Prussia. They would be destroyed, but Russia knows that paper and ink is expensive.

Don't worry Ross, I've already been there. I'm still not sure how they overwhelmed my fort, but it happened somehow. <_<

Won't I hit the HFS? Right now, my plan is to seal up my fortress really tight. Then I'll dig away under it until it only has one support, which I will then destroy, sending my entire fortress into the magma sea. Any holes that I missed (or places protected by non-magmasafe materials) will quickly be exploited, causing lots of fun. It's an expansion on sending a pod to the center of the earth.

My dyer was possessed, and I didn't have the workshop he wanted. Then he went beserk and chased my milker around until he murdered him. This is what I did as punishment.

Ross, I don't have a forge. I've been spending all of my dwarves' time on building an underground channel for water (later an aqueduct!), that I haven't gotten around to it. How do you reach the magma sea? I've been using wood for fuel, since my map has sooooo much wood.

Wait, famine? The whole point of the agricultural reforms was to prevent famine! That's why I booted out the nobles and all that stuff in the first place. Russia thanks Prussia for its humanitarian efforts, even though it really has no clue why people are starving in the first place. < Thought that Russia was overflowing with food.

So you don't use a grid-like pattern when designing your fortress? Everything in my fortress is in a grid pattern around a central staircase.

I'm not putting in more than one waterfall, because it would crash the FPS terribly. My piping is both above and part of the city though, mainly as architecture. If needed, I can still dig around it.

I am making a resevoir that holds over ten thousand units of water. Mwahahahahahahahahaha. It's dug from soil though, so it won't take too long. I'll devote one z-level for "pipes", so my entire fort will be supplied with a lot of water it doesn't need.

Well Doom did inquire about grain shipments from Russia, but I didn't know if my farms were producing a surplus or not.

How's that siege of Warsaw going? I think it's been a year or a year and a half since the last update, so maybe they've all died?
