^ Maybe so, but I did affirm that Japan would not take any other countries by force, but since Indonesia and South Korea were essentially part of Japan and they have defensive pacts, then Japan has an obligation to help.

Either a) weak conventional explosive ICBMs or B) FOABs dropped from aircraft It's not that ICBMs were banned, but it's likely to get you sanctioned, and you can't use FOABs on them. Rocco, I was also picturing that, though the point was that despite my losses to my navy, I really only lost 5% or so of my navy in the entire episode, without the compromise. -------------- Japan proposes the following: When a city is surrounded by enemy attackers, without any relief, then the command of the city should surrender. (Not a game mechanic, but the person holding the city should surrender it) Weapons should not be directly used on cities, but they instead an attacker should surround the city and proclaim victory over a particular city, to limit civilian casualties. --------------- After a populist movement in the legislature, the Japanese Diet and the Emporer have amended the constitution. The forceful annexation of nations by Japan has now been banned, and invasions of other nations without Causis Belli has also been banned. This is to hopefully mend the relations with some countries, and to gain international support in the event Japan is attacked.

ICBMs were pretty much banned, I think. I'm pretty sure the compromise was if they weren't used (since basically if you can use one limited-use of a super weapon, then we have the situation we were in before), so Rocco was saying that the attack never happened because there weren't any ICBMs. Not really sure, but that's the impression I was getting. -------- Sere said that the FOABs can exist, but that they can't be mounted on ICBMs. Then Rocco said he wouldn't use them, because his aircraft would have been decimated by Japanese anti-aircraft defences.

I think I understand quite perfectly. Sere says there will be a compromise done on Saturday. I am to play modestly until that time, so I am assuming maximum damage and correcting it when the compromise comes. Basically, I am taking a temporary hit now, and going with a bonus later on to make it inline with the compromise. I don't see how that's ignoring Sere.

Sere told me to play modestly, so I took a conservative view and went with that. Any compromise is going to result in less damage, so I'm assuming maximum damage and compensating the money lost when they do reach a compromise, so that it's fair. (For example, if they decide 15% GDP cut and I went with 30%, then I'd add up any lost income that I would've had if I had assumed a 15% cut in the first place). ---------------- Ross, how long ago did you finish your exosuits? I'll just go ahead and pretend I took a 30% GDP cut (since that's basically the most damage that happened, out of any of the scenarios), and I'll just add the research time for some more projects to compensate for any budget I lost, when you and Archi decide on the compromise. Is that fair? Japan, having completed its naval building project, has finished its 4th and final fleet. Named the Malay-Indonesian fleet, it is the last fleet completed as part of the naval building program. The program costs have been reduced from the earlier 120 billion to 5 billion, for further research and development. Some of the new surplus is used for rebuilding the parts of Japan that may or may not have been destroyed by the war that may or may not have happened, while some more goes into working on even further defences. Madagascar has been given a two-party governance system, and has been given independance. Japan deeply apoligizes for its intervention, and says that it will keep its presence to Asia.

Quit being so melodramatic. We're working out a compromise in which all belligerents take damage from the war, but it's not going to be up to your ridiculous amounts. If you do a ridiculous attack, it will be ignored. Also, I'm not "allowing them superweapons while you can't have them". Quit being an idiot. You haven't listened to anything that I've said. Well since you banned ICBMs, Rocco didn't want to use the bombs that Russia originally had (forgot the name). So their attack consists of an invasion of Indonesia, against an undamaged force (since the invasion was only mildly successful after ICBMs blew up most of the defences), and that's it? Oh, I'm not losing South Korea, right? It was a direct result from getting incinerated by those ICBMs.

GDP wasn't actually the issue that I was really opposed to. It was more of the fact that Tokyo was instantly incinerated, and that somehow North Korea attacked South Korea because South Korea was left defenceless after the ICBM stuff. GDP stuff, that actually makes sense, since decrease in trade and war generally decreases that.

We probaly would end in stalemate. My land forces would be too weak to invade Russia, and Russia's navy wouldn't be on par to fight mine. So we'd be stuck in the situation of trying to bomb each other's people that occasionally walk along. Besides, I've already experienced repercussions of invading stuff. So I decided to reign it back, allow Madagascar independance, and go back to my South Pacific realm where I do best.
