Ya haven't exactly been that Pro-Japan recently (reminds Icu of Indonesia incident, Thailand incident, Malaysia incident), so I don't see how that's much of a trade-off, compared to saving millions of lives that could be lost in a massive regional conflict.

Worse case scenario: Mongolia is divided into two parts. ---- Due to the close proximity to Japan, a specialized infantry attack group encompassing 50,000 soldiers is stationed off the coast, close to the Chinese-Russian border. I still support the idea of a buffer state, since it reduces the chance of world war. Essentially I want a nation there that will resist both of your actions. I'm sure lots of nations like having buffer zones. Or else we end up with the Swiss-German incidents.

Well at this point, it seems both powers are fighting to annex Mongolia. Japan will probaly intervene on the side of the power who fights for Mongolian independance, which is why I'm asking both people to guarentee Mongolian independance.

The offer on the island thingies in Scandanavia has been accepted. Japan thanks Norway for the support, and remarks that they are now neighbors. A single battlegroup has been stationed there (I can't remember if I posted that before or not), consisting of a supercarrier, 10 destroyers, soon to be 5 frigates, and various personnel. The personnel are treated with fresh Sushi caught off the coast.

Japan deploys 1,000 soldiers as part of the peacekeeping force. They do not have the big weapons which are used to fight against other nations, and they lack the anti-tank stuff. Basically they go with a lot of armor and not many weapons. Japan asks the United States about how they should use the soldiers. In the cities, in the farms, etc.

Japan vetoes the measure with its...well veto. If this is more of a vote about a game mechanic, then I vote no, simply because it's ridiculous to do a simple majority vote to have the international community (controlling other nations btw) attack another member of its community. ----- Also, the UN constitution prohibits internal affairs intervention unless the country asks for it. I am saying that 20 Researchers are not inherantly better than 1 Researcher, as long as that 1 Researcher knew exactly what they were doing. And Logically, if there were 5 Researchers, who all had some specialism vital to the project then they would be more useful than 100 Researchers with no real specialism, or a specialism in a different subject entirely. EG, you would not hire an Economist to build a Nuclear Bomb. Aside from that Research groups tend to be fairly small, with the internet being the main source of communication between them...Certainly advances in one country can be shared with another country...but there is not a massive increase in efficency when this happens. I'm pretty sure that either way it's been longer than the time you took to research the jet. Anywho, I'm sure our researchers know exactly what they're doing. Even if they explored all the possible ways to do something (this kinda propulsion, or this kind), then the sheer amount of manpower would be able to do it much faster. Either way, the interceptor jet production has been stalled for a month or two to finish the Stratos Jets, before interceptor jet production continues.

So what would happen if the three countries (hypothetically) had the same number of researchers individually as the first one. So if they pooled their efforts, logically they'd research faster? Then you consider that (this is a real situation) Japan, SATO, and maybe the SR have a greater number of researchers individually. So how would that work?

Errrr...what? I come off with two impressions: Either you're saying that 10 scientists would be equal to 5 scientists working with 5 foreign scientists, or you're saying that it doesn't matter how many scientists you have. Or is there something I'm missing?

Of course I do. In corraberation with Dusty and Doom, we cut the research time of two years to one. Also, your system increases your GDP by a lot, so I don't see what's game breaking about 1%.
