Well I don't really have much to gain anyways. My exosuits are only two or three years behind yours. With world help, then the development could move further ahead at a quicker rate. ------ On another note, with deflating tensions in Africa and the construction of a military/naval base on the border of Ghana and the Ivory Coast, the Second Japanese fleet returns to home waters, to their official postings.

Well since it's Australia and Switzerland researching it, a small contribution from everyone should be able to match that. Then people send their scientists, and then there are more resources for the project, with each nation contributing a miniscule amount to what amounts to basically as a free tech. Yes, I am definitely looking out for the interests of myself and not for the interests of those that could possibly be steamrolled by Abbysnia with a load of exosuit soldiers. :rolleyes:

Well of course, but there's always going to be a lot of techs that someone can't think about. Anyways, my point is that your argument for exoskeletons doesn't make any sense, since if you think about it, there are two scenarios. Scenario 1: Only your network of nations research exoskeletons, so you're the only one with exoskeletons. < Advantage for you Scenario 2: Everyone researches exoskeletons, so everyone has them and they cancel each other out. < Balanced for everyone I don't see anything good for people in either scenario, but there's definitely something that isn't that good in the first one.

Except that I'm researching basically everything anyways? I just made a giant list of everything I was researching earlier, though the list was mainly construction projects. After those, then I believe I can just research everything in equal amounts. Remember that population doesn't mean victory. You can't transport 500,000 soldiers across the ocean just because you have them. ------- EDIT: When I first started the game, I was under the impression research projects costed a lot of money. Then I figured out they only cost a billion at most, so then I figured, why not just go ahead and research every possible thing you can think of?

No problem. Japan continues its exoskeleton program, based on existing exoskeletons designed by Japanese researchers in 2007 to help nurses lift elderly patients. It encourages the participation of any nation willing to contribute at least half a billion dollars yearly, and a research team. This is part of the effort with Mather. The technology will be shared widely, though only if all participating nations agree. If many nations participate, exoskeletal research is expected to move up to 50% faster than it already has, with just Scandanavia and Japan.

Ooooh, that's handy dandy right there. In other news, the Japanese Second Fleet has been completed. Work on the third Japanese fleet has begun. I still gave up a significant amount of territory (at least for Japan, how small it is) and 60 million people. I think I should be able to purchase the exosuit technology for a cheaper price.

Japan asks for the estimated cost of an exosuit (assuming someone has the technology) and inquires as to how much it would cost to purchase the complete design for the exosuits, once they are finished, if that would be possible. Also, what's the year?

Japanese researchers discover there is no trace of lead based paint anywhere on the product...nor any traces of paint at all. After concluding their tests, they had several lego blocks from both Scandanavia and Abbysnia. They started playing with both of them, and realized that the legos either didn't fit easily, or they took too much effort to pull apart. Legos from both countries have been pulled off the market, until they can be up to the quality standards of normal legos.

Japan requests that tests be conducted on these lego blocks to ensure that they weren't painted with lead paint. The process, which is quite extensive, should take a few days (sooo a few minutes).

Well since everyone is developing missles, I'm sure glad that I put in those missle defence systems. :D

Well it could be that he means that missles often have those trails behind them, which he wants to get rid of.

Japanese retailers understand that a massive manufacturing empire may take some years to prepare, but they are willing to wait until that time until Abbysnian toys replace Chinese ones. For the meanwhile, some Japanese companies step in with some products.

Japan asks Abbysnia if it is willing to sell Japan toys for the same low prices. The toys have to meet safety regulations, and must contain less than a set amount of lead. Japanese consumers have begun to get worried about the product recalls of goods made in China, and Japan is more willing to be dependant on toys from a stable African country than a nation which has annexed Thailand, one of the nations that was slated earlier to join the Japanese-Pacific Republics. The trade deal will mostly stay around toys, as most other manufacturing is covered by Japanese manufacturers. Japan also looks to SATO, if they can fufill the demand for toys at a high quality and prices lower than China.

Japanese companies move into Ghana and the Ivory Coast, at least the agriculture and mining companies. The mining companies replace the South African companies which used to be there as well as any other ones, before they became part of Abbysnia, and the agriculture companies are introducing new crops and livestock, as well as building irrigation systems, to increase agriculture productivity. The Japanese government was also set up a deal with its own company, to purchase the 80 tonnes of gold it produces annually, up from the 60 tonnes where most of the gold deposits weren't being mined. Japanese school system has replaced the French/United States systems which were decent, though beginning to lag compared to the outside world. Rubber has also increased in export, specifically to Japan, which has been using rubber in its manufacturing industries. Various vaccines and medicines are also being distributed by join Ghanan-Ivory Coast-Pacific Republic doctors, to increase the health of the population. A systematic effort has been made to wipe out Tsetes, a disease which affects cattle.

It looked like on the map that Russia won. -------------- -Changes mind at last second- Following Brazil's lead, Japanese naval planners and the Head of the Merchant fleet have insisted to the Emporer that a naval base needs to be built in Africa to house the small armed vessels used to escort merchant ships, to protect naval vessels. The Emporer was initially reluctant, though after an appeal to the public, the Emporer approved the construction of a naval base on the border of the Ivory Coast and Ghana. The public was very supportive, and merchants were exalted that insurance rates for their ships has plummeted. Insurance companies were also pleased, for they could lower costs even further and make a larger profit, despite lowering their price. The Emporer pledged to the people of Ghana and Ivory Coast that Japan would be there in their hour of need, should Abbysnia decide to turn its attention westward. The emporer also pledged to the people of the world and the UN that Japanese expansionism will not begin again, as that era is over. "Now is the time for economic prosperity and social enlightenment. No longer will war be a commonly used word. We must be vigilant, for dangers that we have not yet overcome. Mutual distrust is the way to disaster, we must remember that. The challenges of global warming must be addressed as well, and I call upon all nations to take up the effort. Scientists have proven it is man-made. If we do not do something soon, ravages far greater than war will be brought upon the world. No one knows this better than I do, leader of the island nation of Japan." Some propaganda is also distributed through the country, in form of leaflets, radio, and television broadcasts. It reminds the people that Japan already saved them from invasion by Germany (Sorry Grim. :P) and that Japanese protection could prevent an invasion from Abbysnia. This encourages the people to support the military bases, and not view them with distrust. On one leaflet, it shows the Japanese fleet. On another, it shows a Japanese soldier smiling and shaking hands with a group of children, with one of the children giving the soldier a cookie.
