  1. Since Malaysia is competing with other allied nations, and Malaysia is joining India, the embargo has been extended towards Malaysia as well. Combined, nations allied with Japan have more than 70% of the trade with Malaysia. (Rest is with United States)
  2. Japan asks Germany to produce 15 high-tech submarines (Germany is the world leader in submarines) for its fleet within the next two year. (I think he's basically saying people who store their stuff in Swiss Deposit boxes change into German banks.)
  3. -Cough- Please not the Phillapines. It messes up my nice little wall of islands I'm trying to make :P Why don't you go down to Thailand? ----------- To Rocco, please update the map that Archi used. It's a better map. Also, since Indonesia and those other countries are equally close to joining Japan, then you should not be biased and color those in too. ------------ To Archi, my reasoning for Singapore attacking Malaysia was this: Malaysia sells fresh water to Singapore, India is annexing Malaysia, Singapore is allied with Japan, Japan is in dispute with India, therefore Singapore is somewhat in dispute with India, Fresh water being controlled by enemy. Now what do you do? A new pipeline is being constucted from Indonesia, to circumvent Malaysia.
  4. Oh well. Your currency looks nice and stable though.
  5. What are the terms of the TFTA? I can't have total free trade (since I am doing that with my satellite sta...I mean fellow brothers), and I need my embargo on India to stand, and I'm sure India wants its embargo to stand as well. So basically things traded from one of nations cannot end up in the other. Sounds fair? Japan has about 750 tonnes of gold. And a trillion dollars in foreign currency reserves. Will Switzerland be trading off its old currency in my reserves for new currency? ----- Japan offers to purchase fifty-billion dollars worth of Swiss currency to help combat deflation in the Japanese Yen.
  6. Well it doesn't matter...unless you want to attack a nation which is just a city. So attacking civilians?
  7. Oh Rocco, what have you been smoking? Singapore is independant from Malaysia. Infact, it is somewhat anti-Malaysia.
  8. I vote that the EU stays together, so that's three votes (assuming Grim votes for his own proposal)
  9. Just want to make a comment that both Switzerland and Germany have about 200,000 active soldiers. Everyone underestimates a peaceful country's military. <_<
  10. Indonesia is actually joining a confederacy with Japan. Singapore is the protectorate. Anyways, I just don't like having lots of enemy troops close to territory. Otherwise basically I could just limit your troop presence to 50,000, if that would be preferable for you. In any case, your troops never got to Malaysia.
  11. It hasn't been completely worked out. I just want the part near Indonesia because I don't want foreign troops on my island. That's basically my only problem. Either that or you could trust me by only putting 50,000 peacekeeping troops there. Otherwise my ships have it blockaded (for military ships, not shipping).
  12. Nevermind. I read incorrectly. We both started on Day 2 (the 26th).
  13. I stated that they were moving towards political integration, which I assumed meant it started the process (since basically I assumed annexation was the last step, since talks had to be conducted first). So basically they are a day/half - year ahead of Malaysia in integration. I began political integration on the first day.
  14. Or say you say. I'd probaly be more inclined to support you, but the points you brought against me would probaly go against you as well. So it would be hypocritical for me to support you. Anyways, the Phillapines begins political integration (I was wondering what that grey thingy on the map was). Meanwhile, Indonesia and those other countries (excluding Malaysia) are moving towards political integration, one day ahead of Malaysia. The Japanese navy, with support from others, prevents India from dropping off 500,000 soldiers near Indonesia. However, it allows India to proceed to put those soldiers in the Malaysia area near Thailand.
  15. I thought we weren't supposed to control other countries anymore. Wasn't that what we were just discussing before? -----
  16. Except that Switzerland started the fight by trying to bring down the EU economy. :) I think if it was Germany that started, then it would be logical, but since you began the fight, I'm pretty sure the people wouldn't care.
  17. Actually, I think you basically saved the EU a lot of money. You basically bought their surplus, and they're not letting you sell it back. Seems like a win-win for Europe.
  18. Not quite Archi. It's like saying you have 5 apples, the EU has 2 apples, and your people have 5 apples. Your people trade their 5 apples for EU 2 apples, normally. However in this case, you are trading your 5 apples for EU 2 apples. That makes it so that your people still have their apples. So really the trade deficit hurts your own people, and you've hurt your government. Trade Deficit just means that your people as a whole as losing money. The government doesn't necessarily gain from a trade deficit being eliminated.
  19. I don't think that I've embargoed you Archi. Or are you talking to Grim? --- Anyways, a trade deficit doesn't mean that the government loses money. So essentially the people of Switzerland "gain 20 billion", though they still need to buy the products they were getting in the first place. The government doesn't recoup anything. --- Oh, well good luck destroying the European economy. -Sarcasm-
  20. Well he has to be given time to respond to it, regardless if it was yesterday or not. After all, I claimed to have taken Malaysia when it never actually happened. How much of a discount would beef from you be than beef from the EU. Do you think it's possible to go any cheaper than American beef?
  21. I was reffering to Japanese investors, which could purchase products and sell them to the Japanese people. After all, Japan does import about half of its caloric needs.
  22. Archi, what kind of products are being sold and at what price? ---- To Grim, you could just prevent Switzerland from purchasing the surplus in the first place.
  23. Grim, Japan is interested in buying some of the surplus if you're interested.
  24. I'm just trying to remind everyone that Japan does have a standing army in 2009 of 150,000 to 250,000 active soldiers (depending on the count). So really, it's not that it needs to militarise, since it's already technologically matched with European countries. (What is the EFTA?)
  25. You're right Ross, I'm back already. :P I'm just concerned with the fact that Archi is (in my opinion) still holding a power greater than that of an average player. For example this crazy market manipulation scheme against the EU, which probaly won't work (I say probaly, because I'm sure none of us is better than existing market minds) So basically what happened is that I am on my way of controlling Indonesia and Singapore, while Rocco is on his way to controlling Malaysia. Is that basically what was decided? ---------- Oh yah, that reminds me. Couldn't the EU just embargo you and basically shut you out of their economy?
