I didn't mean Fertilizer. I meant "Fertilizer," like manure. Besides, if done sustainably, which it is, all nutrients are returned to the enviroment. Think in the box of kelp, stop thinking about the problems of today's agriculture! That's the fault of the land. :)

If you can stand the cold, I can make an ice weapon of somekind. Anything you'd like. Maybe a trusty lump-on-a-stick? :D

Kelp is superior to other crops by a factor of ten or more, not to mention there's more space to grow that kelp in the sea. If the planet (Earth) can support six billion people, then assuming that my planets are the same size as Earth, my population sustaining planets should support thirty billion each. Now we factor in the fact that their radii are twice as large as Earth in most cases, the surface area is four times as large, so that's up to 120 billion. Then we note that the sea is so much larger than the land in surface area by at least two leads us to 240 billion. Then we note the the volume of the sea, though I'm not going to factor that in much. So then we come to the fact that normal kelp is far more nutritious than normal wheat, so with genetic enhancements and fertilizer, then the kelp I grow is at least four times better than normal wheat, when compared for calories per day. This leads me to conclude that my population is easily sustained by current resources. ------- Well my females enjoy American-like excess. My males work in the Iridium mines and kelp fields all day. Iridium mines are fun. Lava is flying all over the place and people fall in and get incinerated.

It's true that Archi is off sometimes, but that's usually just because he missed just a single post. It's not too big a deal, but if you feel strongly about it, you could look through the thread and find the old stat checkpoint, then count how many times you died and give the proof to Archi. It took me half an hour for a hundred pages, so if you really wanted to, you could.

Mather, can you return the loot that you took from the excavation? I thought that the topaz-quartz was a pretty good amount already, since topaz is rare.

Whenever I think of your people, I keep thinking of the sand people from Star Wars... Anywho. I'm continuing development of orbital and earth to orbit defences.

Well the tougher the dungeon, the better the rewards. Besides, it helps us show teamwork. Anyways Ross, am I going to continue with this dungeon or is there an easy way to get out so I can participate with a group in a dungeon of your creation?

If you're assuming that there's just enough kelp to feed all the people, then 5% drop in kelp production would kill off... 25 billion people. (Lol) Of course, there's always a surplus, since most of the population grows their own food. Alright, imagine your house (I hope it's one story, or else this probaly won't work). In the amount of land equal to the land your house is sitting on in a fertile part of the planet, you could probaly grow enough kelp such that you could support the people who live in the house. Of course, most people actually live "on" their cultivated land. It's sorta like a treehouse, except that there are like gas sacks to push the house up, while a sturdy kind of wood kelp (not capable of being eaten, but carved into tables and such) keeps in anchored.

I suppose so. I've diversified (incase of emergency) by growing mushrooms and algae. Also, there is probaly lots of kelp in the tunnels as storage. Besides, my kelp has undergone massive genetic enhancement, to be specially disease resistant. I grow lots of different kinds of kelp (some from Earth), so that diseases don't kill them all at once. I'd say that I have over a 100 different varieties, decendant from 25 original varieties.

Well I brought those submarines over on a single ship...so they had to be pretty bad. Besides, I did help wipe out someone's fleet, before killing Doom's unarmed transports heading to South Africa. They did what they had to. Besides, back on my home world, there are thousands and thousands of submarines all over the place. I think that's decent enough for protection, considering no one else is aquatic.

Except apparantly Dungeonal didn't PM Archi her defence numbers, so maybe there was just a rolled resistance. Anyways, my surprise attack and amphibious modifiers were probaly the reason I won. Since basically, my troops could land anywhere, even in places where ships couldn't actually go in because the water was too shallow.

Have you ever been to Japan before? Most of it is either right next to the ocean, or on a mountain. Right next to the ocean, Lichtens have the advantage because they're sweeping in from the seas while they're fine in the mountains because they can just entrench themselves. I think that they're weakest in large land masses such as China, since after all, Japan is series of islands.

They would be incredibly vulnerable during land fighting. But they do fine in amphibious fighting. I've never had to use them in land fighting before though. I guess they do fine with tanks (the females), though then I'd just have an army of tanks. Besides, when would I plan to fight on land? I have an army for defence of my lands, which are pretty much all aquatic.

With a quickly expanding population and abundant species of kelp, the settlers are thriving. Massive underground tunnels snake through the continental shelf and deeper into the sea crust. The majority of Lichtes citizens live here, sheltered from infectious viruses and invading aliens by the limitless fortifications and defences. This is a major Iridium monopole mining base. Deep within the tunnels, the worst of society (over 200 million) trudge down into the mines to get as much Iridium ion as they can. The ones that give above average get a comfortable bed for the night, while those below average can either go back to their homes or go down to get more Iridium to get a bed. Besides, everyone keeps forgetting that water can support like 100x more life than land. Also noting that only the males are stupid, and they work down in the mines and stuff. Females (of which I still have a considerable amount) form the skilled workforce. You could say that they could match your scientists...in a different way of course.

What is my ice magic now? It;s like 9.5+, right? ------- Wow, I killed that easily. :) ------- Jen starts cutting up the beast and taking everything useful.
