  1. 0.0 you would pay ~30 dollars a month? That's twice as expensive as World of Warcraft, don't know if I would be willing to spend that much
  2. I think the content was better when there were behind the scenes. You could expect at least one big update along with a bunch of lesser ones every month, and you weren't disappointed/kept in the dark as you know exactly what was coming. I think there was at least 1 big update every month, don't quote me on that though as I only started playing again recently.
  3. Bandos is by far my favourite boss to solo, just because of the quick KC. KC only takes 5 mins max, and getting into the boss room quickly for some action appeals to me greatly :)
  4. Hi there, I was wondering what the best melee set up for FFA corp beast would be? I have heard fighter hat, fury, ardy cape 3, zerker ring(i), full bandos, d boots, z spear is the ideal set up although since i don't meet reqs for ardy cape im just going to be using fire cape. Does this set up sound good or is void better? Also which spec weapon should I use i'm thinking of using claws, ags, or excalibur for healing. Thank you for your help.
  5. For the no twitter updates, wasn't it because one of the mods responsible for posting them went on vacation?
  6. Yes they give rocks, cause I made 1k extreme def pots on xp weekend and got both rocks within first 100 made.
  7. Just checked the login screen, says world 115 is OFFLINE, all the other worlds are still up and running though.
  8. For the Construction rocks can't you stand in your house and alch while waiting for it to spawn? That would give you something to do.
  9. Do you get rocks faster if you do higher exp training? e.g yews vs willows for woodcutting?
  10. I'll just copy and paste what someone else said replying to one of your other posts, since obviously you've been failing at reading: "My problem with your reasoning is that it doesn't take into account the positives or future implications of the update. You haven't said anything about the more accurate hit readings, the possibility of armor/weapons/potions/etc that could affect Constitution, such as armor that increases it, thereby increasing your max possible life points, or weapons that decrease it, making your opponent unable to heal up to their max possible life points." This is probably one of the main reasons why it was needed, because it opened the door for future updates and possibly higher hitting weapons/bosses/monsters. And you should stop acting like everyone is flaming you when you're also flaming too telling people(like me) to stfu, cause thats just being a hypocrite.
  11. some of us may like originality, some of us don't. clearly, you like games that are not original and (like you said) RPGs with high numbers like we have today. but i happen to like originality since I personally think that Runescape should of stayed the way it was and not have those uber high digit numbers like most RPGs. What happens when we have two parties that are not agreeing with each other? A debate. Debates should be encouraged, not discouraged like this thread. I was posting my opinion on behalf of the debate but most of you guys failed to play your parts and instead, bluntly flame at me. The changes were neccessary and needed, if you don't like change why don't you go back to runescape classic? And debates is encouraged, just you still haven't provided any evidence other than that change is bad as to why it was a bad update.
  12. So you're opposed to change, essentially. Okay, I can understand that, even if I don't agree with it. My problem with your reasoning is that it doesn't take into account the positives or future implications of the update. You haven't said anything about the more accurate hit readings, the possibility of armor/weapons/potions/etc that could affect Constitution, such as armor that increases it, thereby increasing your max possible life points, or weapons that decrease it, making your opponent unable to heal up to their max possible life points. Those are just two examples, of course, but I hope you see what I'm getting at. I think it's naive to assume that Jagex did this arbitrarily or with the intention of being "hip" or "current" with other MMOs. I'm still kind of confused about how armor/weapons can increase your max life points. Can you give some examples of how that would work? E.g Someone with 99 hp has 990 life points. This person wears a +10 life points increasing armor, and now will have 1000 life points?
  13. Well here's what another person said, possibly confirming your thoughts. thread- 15-16-50-60509162 OP:"World first? Pretty boring reward, starting to gather all 30 pieces again right now." "What was the reward?" OP:"A plinth that can be placed in your POH, and a replica statue piece that is #1 of 2 pieces, guessing the 2nd one comes from completing Shattered Heart twice." Don't know if its true or not, but it sounds reasonable
  14. Yeah would of thought someone would have them all by now.
  15. This might be helpful for those trying to obtain rocks: from thread 15-16-883-60503554 Mining- The fastest way of obtaining both mining rocks is to mine pure essence. Alot of people have experienced obtaining both in one trip of pure essence. Farming- According to the players in the clanchat, planting Watermelons in allotment patches are the fastest way of obtaining both farming rocks. RuneCrafting- So far the fastest way would be to craft air runes or fire runes because of the short distance from the altar to bank. Construction- IMPORTANT! all rocks are spawned on the floor inside your house by the portal. Wait patiently for atleast a minute for the first rock. Wait in your house for atleast a minute to obtain the second. Woodcutting- Cutting Ivy,Oaks, and Willows have proven to be the fastest way atm to grab hold of your 2 Woodcutting Rocks! Firemaking- Just burning the cheapest logs in a decent spot for hardcore fm'ing has proven to get your 2 Firemaking rocks and save money :) Smithing- Smithing any type of bar into an item is a good way of getting both rocks. Try smithing axes and swords since they only cost you 1 bar per make. Agility- IMPORTANT! YOU CANNOT GAIN ROCKS FROM BARBARIAN AGILITY COURSE!. running through any course beside barbarian will get you 2 agility rocks. Cooking- Cooking any type of FISH can earn you your cooking rocks. Hunting- Falconry And Red Chinchompas have been proven to be the fastest methods of grabbing both your hunter rocks. Thieving- Thieving from men are the easiest ways to gain your 2 thieving rocks because of less fail rates. Crafting- Crafting leather are the cheapest and easiest way of obtaining your 2 rocks. Herblore- Adding a secondary ingredient to any (unf) potion will earn you both of your rocks. Fletching- Fletching any unfinished Bow or Crossbow Stocks will earn you both of your rocks.
  16. That's just grasping at straws to explain this change. They could already have done that with the HP skill. Sara brews already work like that. Rocktails heal beyond your HP. The new thing is that they can bring out items that boost your max HP without healing you, it is more flexible than before. I don't understand, how do you boost your max hp without healing yourself? I'm confused :-|
  17. I can bet a lot of people are gonna make a killing when the bolts stabilize and then start rising like crazy. I might be one of these people :P
  18. 280 crimsons in 35 minutes at waterfiends. Not bad :P
  19. sorry for changing the topic but I have to ask, Was Kuradel not assigning Jungle Strykewyrms intentional?
  20. Well I think you can safely log out every wave now up until Jad, but I think you're right it probably will take more than an hour to complete the fight caves. Personally at maxed cb it took me 1 hour 23 mins so I would hazard a guess at 2 hours for the average player. My view on this matter is that if one doesn't actually have the slayer level to kill the ice strykewyrms then that person doesn't really have any reason to complain. I mean, why complain about something that doesn't affect you? Plus the cape isn't as hard as many make it out to be, there's tons of guides and videos out there detailing exactly how to defeat Jad with ease. Surely if a lvl 40 can get the cape, then so can the average player :P Edit: Sorry I'm new to the forums and I don't know how to quote people properly this was for bloodstains post 1 page back. Yeah, I've tried a couple times too and it took me closer to 2 hours each time. And I may not have the level but that doesn't mean I can't criticize, plus lots of people with the level have the same issue. Oh, and for the quote I assume you cut out all the other bits of my post, so you needed to add the "/" in the Ok well I still can't figure out the quote thing, but I disagree that many with 93 slayer are having trouble obtaining a fire cape. By having 93 slayer, that person has invested a lot of time into getting there, and is already very experienced in how the game works. Heres what someone on the last page said: "Just tell me exactly how someone playing for 30 minutes a day could get to 93 slayer. At 30k/h (Not realistic at all), that's 15k xp/day. 7,195,629 (xp at 93)/15 000= 480 days approx. That's highly ulikely that someone of that level would never find increments of an hour to pass the caves." I agree with this person, and I would think someone with 93 slayer would have the ability to obtain a firecape with relative ease, given time invested in the game already as well as experience in the game.
  21. I heard that Kuradel can't assign any Strykewyrm tasks, anyone know if this is true? Sorry if this has been asked already.
  22. Um...no duh if you have played for longer you're going to have more money and stuff. Of course if you play for longer you're going to have accumulated more money. Someone who started back in 2002 is obviously going to have more money than someone who started yesterday. The whole point is that by the time you get to the same playtime as the person who started 8 years ago, there's no reason why you couldn't be in exactly the same place they're at now. I'm not saying that you can just decide, "I want to be rich." and see a phat set miraculously appear in your bank. Functionally, there's very little difference between playing longer per day and having started playing sooner. You need to keep in mind that the relevant statistic here is not total wealth/accomplishment but the rate at which it increases. If a rich guy has a 100 million gp, and a noob has 100gp, the rich guy earns 10k per day, the noob earns 20k per day. The noob will take 100million/20k days to catch up, BUT keep in mind that the rich guy is still earning money. So the noob can't really catch up unless this experiment goes on and on. I see your point about reaching the same amount of money as the rich guy, BUT my argument still stands - how is someone who plays half an hour a day, earning say 50k catch up with someone who has 100 million gp? He'll have to play for 2 million days to catch up. Even if your target is 10 million gp or something more realistic, you still have to play for 20 000 days, which is approximately 54 years. How possible is that? If the guy is around 15 years old, he'll have to play until he's 70 to get that amount of money. Even if he can play 2 hours on weekends and public holidays, etc, I doubt the decrease will be significant. maybe 40+ years still. Making the target a million gp, you'll still have to play roughly 5 years to acculmulate that amount of wealth. And I'm sure most rich guys have far more than a million gp. No offence but your argument is really bad. 20,000 days for 10m? What are you talking about? I don't think its taken anyone that long to reach that kind of money, not even for a "noob". I think what you're not taking into account is that a "noob" will increase their income overtime, he/she won't just stay at 50k an hour or whatever they're making forever. I'm not sure where you're pulling some of your numbers from, but 5 years for 1 mil? At a modest 200k an hour you can get that in 5 hours playtime.
  23. I wonder what will happen when they reach over 60k each in the ge. End of mint cake currency maybe? Ya thats exactly what I was thinking too, it will be interesting to see what will happen when they go over 60k. I don't think mint cakes will be totally useless, i mean they are still pretty rare. I think a stabilized price at 1-2m wouldn't be too unreasonable, thus they would probably still have a use in trading. But if mints do crash when they pass 60k im guessing a lott of people holding mints aren't gonna be too happy
