All masks, even reds, are min in ge at the moment and are crashing hard. There is no need to add high street items like battle robe sets, you can just buy them in ge for minimum price. Earlier today I saw people selling blue + crown for cash so you can get a deal like that if you wanted to increase your street value. -
Realistically nobody is going to pay 75k for a pair of climbing boots that is just ridiculously overpriced, so I just alched the 4 I had for 180k.

This happened like a month ago, Lost my CLS pking cause I stupidly picked up an armadyl totem at half health after killing someone. I then got pjed by a ranger with hand cannon who koed me in 2 shots.

Hey there, not trying to be the spelling police or anything, but I noticed in your posts you keep making the same mistake and spelling the word *experience* wrong. There is no A in the word experience :) -
Dungeoneering - The nerf of "Rushing"
predator1030 replied to Squisher_33's topic in General Discussion
I have been wondering about this, is doing floors 1-25 on level 1-3 complexity really better than doing them all on 6 complexity with a 5 man team? With a really good group I was able to complete each floor anywhere from 2-4 minutes depending on the boss, so for an average of ~ 3 minutes. 3 x 25 = 75 minutes so doing Floors 1-25 in about 1 hour 15 minutes at a good pace. I have done the lower floors at complexity 6 with a 5 man group but I didn't really average it over a decent amount of time. When I timed it though each floor was taking about 8-10 minutes to complete. I'm not really sure which method is better, I'm guessing both ways would be really close in overall experience. -
Sorry guys, this might be slightly off topic to what everyone is discussing but I was wondering, Firstly a little story: I just lost my CLS in pvp. Stupid me, I killed a guy and picked up an armadyl totem right when a PJer attacked me and I had only 50 hp left. I ended up dieing and protecting the totem. Yeah I know i got severely owned, and it was entirely my fault for not safing up to full health, but its all good because I plan on quitting anyway until batch #2 comes out. My question is, does Jagex plan on letting previous owners of chaotic weapons buy them back at a reduced price? I have no desire of grinding out another 50+ hours for the weapon, thus I am quitting until batch #2 comes out where there is faster xp. I do not expect anyone to feel sorry for me, as I knew it was entirely my fault and I could of prevented the situation. But I am just wondering if Jagex has mentioned any information regarding my question. Cheers :P

Not sure if i'm allowed to name websites, but if you go to www.geupdate.com you can see when the ge last updated. It can even send you a message to your email right when the ge updates. If websites aren't allowed I could edit this post immediately. -
I find Bandos and DFS to be useful in some situations, especially when I want to be lazy. If where I am slaying is multi combat, what I will do is round up a bunch of monsters with auto retaliate on and browse forums like tip.it or rsof, checking back every minute or so. So those who say rune defender is better than dfs are only partially correct, there are some situations where DFS and Bandos could make the task easier :P(if you are lazy)

Well if you have a high cb level and have a high enough dung lvl to do all floors, i've found "Dannni" clan chat to be extremely useful in finding teams.

160 kc = how many bandos boss kills? -
Has anyone heard of or seen an item called "the bloody necklace?" Some people have said it is worth binding over prom plate, what it does supposedly is damage every monster within a 1 square radius of you for 40 damage every 10 seconds, and heals you a percentage of that damage dealt. It also gives a very nice +11 str bonus. It is dropped from a rare monster that requires a high slay lvl called the emilmu(?spelling). Anyone have some info on this and if it's any good?

Level requirements are completely irrelevant. You can't get have enough tokens to buy any of the rewards unless you already have the required level for them. It's impossible. Sorry I don't quite understand what you are arguing/saying, the point I was trying to make though is that by spending your points on xp you can level faster and reach those level requirements faster. I'm saying that if you have a Chaotic weapon, you have 80+ dungeoneering no matter what, because it takes more xp to get 200k points than it does to reach level 80 dungeoneering. Level requirements are never a concern. They are a concern for someone who wants to level fast and efficiently, as well as decrease the time it takes to meet those requirements. This is obviously a very debatable topic, but personally I think its good to know that whenever I reset I am completing each floor with 1-2 higher prestige levels than if I didn't spend my points on xp.

Which is exactly where I disagree, no it won't take you 10 times as long because by spending points on xp you will have a higher prestige level thus increasing leveling speed which will get you more tokens faster, not to mention level faster. You are thinking that you get tokens at a fixed rate which is obviously wrong, your tokens will increase as you get a higher level. Its not only about the tokens its also about reaching the level requirements for the rewards faster too, which i'm sure for many will be the level 80 weapons/armor.

That one level could turn out to be quite a bit of experience when you reset and do *all* the floors all over again. No, the extra exp you'll gain won't come close to amount of time it'll take to get back those tokens. And you know this..how exactly?

Is it a rumour or a fact that prestige stops raising at lvl 69 dungeoneering? Anyone know if this is true or not?
-
ahaha WOW dude that's a [wagon] load of deaths! I know I shouldn't be laughing but I just found it really funny; you guys got peanuts for exp for so much work. At least you managed to kill it though. But still, 79% penalty from deaths? I feel your pain.
-
To be honest I still don't see the use in resetting your prestige. Sure you get to earn prestige again at lower floors but rushing through it on f2p at complexity 1? You get peanuts for experience since the base xp is really low; the xp is half of what complexity 6 is. And if you are stuck on a floor, why would you want to unlock new ones just to get stuck on them? For example get stuck on floor 20, reset everything and do floors 1-20 at mediocre xp, then get stuck on floor 21? I don't know, just seems like a really inefficient way of training to me.

I know there is a dungeoneering thread already, but I thought this kind of deserved its own topic. Do you think that dungeoneering will become the new slowest skill to level? Just by looking at the highscores, as of Apr. 14 the rank #1 scaper has 492k experience. Assuming this person no lifed and played for an average of 20 hours a day, which is not unreasonable considering how much some time some people will spend to get top 10, this person will have played for close to 3 days or ~ 60 hours total. Now 492k experience / 60 hours = 8.2k experience per hour, which I assume are at absolute max speed/methods possible. The average runescaper would be lucky to get even half that experience, so we'll say 4-5k experience for the average scaper. 4-5k experience an hour is making one of the slowest skills, slayer, look like a godsend, which averages about 20k experience per hour. I know everyone is saying how this skill gets faster as you get higher, and we may not know just how fast it may be to level at the higher levels, but just by judging how fast its been so far if this trend continues it's going to take ages to get to 99. If my educated guesstimates are correct, you are looking at around 120+ hours just to get to level 65. This is not a rant nor am I complaining, as I personally enjoy the skill and think it is a lot of fun. I am just pointing out that this skill could take a considerable amount of time to get to whatever your desired level may be. Thoughts?

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I'm still confused about how resetting prestige is good. Why would you want to complete all the previous floors if you are not stuck on your highest floor? I thought I would test out the reset button at floor 8, just to see what it would do, and boy was it a big mistake; after I reset I started getting junk prestige exp. Now I'm trying to powertrain through all the previous floors at complexity 1 just to get decent prestige exp again. So i'm not sure why you would want to do the previous floors again if you aren't stuck, seeing how previous floors offer less xp than your highest floor. And even if you are stuck on your highest floor, will the time spent having to do *all* the previous floors all over again be worth it?

how many tokens do you have? just wondering how much more you get by then What kind of XP rates are you gettin and how long are games taking? It's a bit late but if you're still interested I do, - f2p - small dungeon - complexity 6 - only kill the necessary monsters And I think f2p is easier, the monsters are only like lvl 18. Also I think I got like 1k xp every dungeon and I could do like 2 or 3 an hour. Now my rank is down to 1k+ :( O and about the tokens, I didn't get to much like 10:1 xp:token but I handed them in for xp. WOW I cannot thank you enough dude, this is an awesome tip! For all those looking to train this skill quickly(relatively) this is how you do it! I tried going f2p for 1 dungeon round solo, was able to get 240 xp in 10 mins! You're a lifesaver dude thank you so much. Does anyone know the best melee weapon for f2p? I wish I had known about how good f2p was earlier would have saved me a lot of headache lol.
-
Any ideas on the xp rates at "x" level? I know the lower levels are quite slow but how about the mid-higher levels?

The person a couple posts above me made an interesting point..I wonder if Gertjaar's whole family plays runescape? I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, because then when the real Gertjaars goes to work his brother or sister or dad could take over for him. Then he could theoretically be playing 24/7, with each family member taking a night shift. Obviously that would be taking it to the extreme but if he was serious about being the very first person to totally max out that is one way to do it.

0.0 you would pay ~30 dollars a month? That's twice as expensive as World of Warcraft, don't know if I would be willing to spend that much  The 15 dollars a month is what keeps me from doing WoW. Otherwise I would have jumped ship a long time ago. Well I guess kinda similar to what Aeil was saying, the reason WoW is more expensive is because there is a lot more high level content. In fact most of the patch updates and expansions are focused on the "end game" content, each update coming with a whole host of new high level dungeons, weapons, and armour for high leveled players. I think this might be getting off topic, but I guess Blizzard can focus more on the high level stuff cause they also have a lot more staff, and are a much bigger company.
