  1. 99 number 2: Defence. (as you can see I've kept my untrimmed dungeoneering cape too) Apologies for the bad picture quality, I didn't want to post numerous images due to not knowing how to make a hide tag  so I crammed everything I had to show you into one. Now comes the horrid task of trying to make an outfit that incorporates both my 99's. Thinking untrimmed dg cape and defence hood, although how on Earth I can stop them from clashing I don't know.
  2. Those 5 hours of slaying are clearly not counted, but time spent waiting for a team is. Try not to take things out of context, or call people noobs unjustly.
  3. Seems my post created a sudden stream of "0MG GUISE MAI METHOD I QUICKER THAN URZ" posts, which aren't really needed for this thread. I apologise for starting this trend, hopefully if I explain how my method DOES equal faster exp, it will be cleared up. On 117 I keyed, therefore I was putting the dungeon times in my own hands; not to sound pompous - and therefore hypocritical due to my use of the term in my previous post- I wouldn't spend more than an hour in a dungeon, therefore ruining Squisher's point. I am fairly confident that when I did do Dungeoneering I could have keyed well, almost as well -if not AS well- as the vast majority of the cc keyers. Seeing as, as I stated, I feel the dungeon time is reflected most heavily on the keyer's efficiency, I would have fairly fast dungeons with no time inbetween. On another note, skilling time or time spent not doing dg while waiting for a team IS wasted within the boundaries of this discussion. Time = Dungeoneering Exp, not overall Exp. Time spent not doing Dungeoneering therefore, is Dungeoneering time wasted. Wish you all well, and hope the fact this is more a "shut it, we're ruining this thread" post than anything has got through. ~ San ~ PS: I haven't got a hood, and got 90-99 without one, didn't really bother me, I knew for a fact I could still outkey most people with hoods.
  4. At 117 a team is found within...2 minutes. If you know what you're doing, where to stand and what to shout (wearing a dg cape helps too) Plus, if you key, which I'd say everyone "serious about the skill" should know how to do and often want to do, then the teams are more or less based upon your ability to lead and make people do what you want. In my experience on other worlds, such as 77, it takes several minutes to get a team if not more, then they're full of pompous people that think they're so good at the skill that if the start's slow they can just quit a dungeon and waste everyone's time. I got 99 at W117, and would do so again. ON TOPIC: I'm very interested to see this video and hope for many more to come, I'd like to be a conceptual design artist when I'm older, so any insight into how those at Jagex work is very welcome indeed.
  5. DECISIONS DECISIONS Just hit 200k tokens again, stuck between these two rewards. Any preferences? (I already have a rapier)
  6. He didn't leech, and he's banned now as well. Seeing glitchers/leechers with the same cape as me never fails to annoy me. Anyhow, in answer to Bacon's plight, it seems the best tactic is to shut down one of the pillars, and attack. then swap pillar. DO NOT press all 3 prayer-cancelling pillars at once, or you'll be stuck for 3 mins of tanking. I would gladly take Nomad out for a summer's day picnic if it meant skipping this boss. I just dread Bilrach's master, if Bilrach himself can detain this.
  7. I have to say Dungeoneering, followed by Slayer and Construction. As for the argument the Slayer cape is the best, well, trimmed I'd say yes. But I prefer my Untrimmed Dungeoneering' aesthetics to be brutally honest, it's really rare too - especially within my combat level area (127 atm) as most untrimmed dgers are level 3 skillers/leechers -and in general, I feel I found the time limitation of doing a dungeon to the end very helpful, even if it was annoying. Wth slayer i find I get 10 minutes into a task then get bored and have to carry on another time. Construction is probably the skill I'd feel I got most out of getting 99 in, I mean c'mon..maxed (or getting that way) houses - much like Den Usuynlige's <3 - are totally awesome. So I don't think any skill can be the best, as they all have to work well with each other. But for the fact I got 99 dg without much of a break/stopping that'd be my answer.
  8. If you'd care to risk it, just logout and back in. When you log in it automatically spawns all statues for you individually. Each person has to do this to see them for themselves. This does have risks though, you can get stuck outside the dungeon with no way to get back in, so I'd stick with killing npc's.
  9. There never seemed to be any to actually talk in the cc, but to be ranked it's like 138 cbat, 135 and 85dg or less cbat and 99. I think. I never got ranked, but could now. Not dging until Batch 2 though, so i see little point :)
  10. Yeah I agree, the Tiara is out of match, maybe Attack Skillcape Hood? I have the Attack Cape hood, it matches my untrimmed dungeoneering cape :wall: I tried the ringmaster hat, it's vulgar. The Lord Marshal hat is too small, too. I honestly don't know what else I can try. In all honesty, I may just get an elite clue scroll in 2 days, be rewarded a Dragon mask and this problem will be sorted
  11. My new outfit, for wandering, clue-scrolling and skilling: Any areas of improvement, items you dislike or other item suggestions?
  12. It's the Seeker's Charm, a terrible drop. I believe it adds negative strength just for a little ranged or magical attack. Whenever I see a Seeker, I ask why its bigger, uglier and much rarer cousin the Soulgazer couldn't have takn up its post at that room.
  13. After Dungeoneering, this combat exp from slayer seems so amazingly fast  Pardon, the terrible cropping and failed screeny timing (missed the fireworks due to not expecting the level)
  14. What? Well. about that...erm, blame Den. It was all his idea to get it early! HANG THE WAGON ON!!!! you sneaky...know my pa- ooh, you're in for it! .......................................................................................I don't even. Just to clear things up; I said to my friend that I would get 99 at 8pm, I then got it at 4pm while he was asleep, due mostly to the fact that I couldn't wait any longer :ohnoes: he then, using my account :wall: flamed me for it. Unspam: I like the match of fireshield with the dung' shoulders, eventhough i dislike the trimmed cape due to that colour.

  16. Wow, just finding space without an emote-wanting stranger or well-wisher is DIFFICULT. Here's a very quick amalgamation of my cape's features:
  17. Okay, if you insist.. I'll take one now.
  18. 466th to 99 Dungeoneering, I don't know what number untrimmed I am, but it's low. Thanks to Den (Shirley to those who know him well) who cheered me up time and time again by calling me a no-lifing time waster <_< (No really, ily)
  19. Well, I agree to some extent with OP that such capes as the strength cape do make me yawn when i see them, and forgive me if this seems rude. It is just the fact that so many people, often the kinds of people I wouldn't want to socialise with, wear them to get "reputation" and this just does not appeal to me. Other skillcapes such as slayer are, generally, recognised and being "hot" or "admirable" - whether due to aesthetics, or the work behind them. I would ofcourse value these skillcapes more highly than the buyable, fast capes. Please do not think that I am now limiting the "worthiness" of a cape to the ones that take the longest to obtain, I personally like the firemaking cape as it is a vibrant colour and the emote is very nice. I am currently well on the way to untrimmed Dungeoneering, being 200k-ish from 98 at this moment in time. I want this cape becuase it will be the first major goal I have succeeded in egtting, I have the Firecape and SW Cape and do not see why these would in any way be superior to my Untrimmed Dg. The Dg cape looks very nice, the emote is very nice and it shows that I, unlike many people out there, classify Dungeoneering as a skill and give merit to the fact by spending months training it. I hope that my post has contributed to this topic, unlike a few posts about chompy hats - surely a pm question could be appropriate and more on-topic? Sanafari.
  20. You got a friend - or follower, either term suits me  - and I got a prom spear P++ and a mentor  Now, on topic: I have solo'd to 60 or so and only now, after finding a couple of great people *looking at you Den!* I have started to duo/team. I have been wondering for a long time which way was better xp - doing all the lower floors for the max amount of xp or just rushing them with say complexity 1? Also, which rewards are people going for and why? Which order shall you get them in, and why? I have personally bought a bonecrusher and gem bag for slaying, and now am on my way to getting an anti-poison totem. Good luck dungeoneering peeps. Sanafari.
  21. Just a speculation, and don't flame me if I'm completely out of my mind, it's a sleepy saturday -.- Would setting the complexity to 1 (all combat) increase the encounter rate of high level warriors and hobgoblins? Or do the dungeons just become very easy?
  22. Many thanks guys, I'll be sure to look out for hobgoblins and warriors with spears on my quest to get a bonecrusher to aid my slaying. Good luck to you all.
  23. Well, thanks a lot for the tip, any idea which bosses drop spears? Or shall I just have to wait for a Forgotten Warrior to come along with one in hand?
  24. I personally adore this skill, finding it to be everything I have dreamed of: puzzles, new monsters and new aesthetics. Yet the one flaw for me is the teaming aspect, I agree entirely with it and see it as a shining step to a new 'Scape where people learn to collaborate before roasting others for their flaws. Yet, as I have said, it is a problem for me... having only three people on my list, none of them willing or able to duo with me. I have tried teaming with strangers several times, yet don't like it, either getting angry or dissappointed by early departures or an apparent lack of brain-cells. I currently have a promethium rapier and gorgonite platebody bound, at level 53 (all solo'd) and was wondering what I should exchange these two items with if I find it as I can't wear primal. Would there be any preferred weapons out there, or better armour (I've never heard of anyone getting promethium plate yet, if you have please do tell) and to which floors/bosses should I be going to get these items? Thank you in advance, and happy dungeoneering to all of you :-) Oh, and this is my first ever post, been an avid reader and non-replier for far too long.
