  1. Pah, I love the Spas, though I wasn't particularly good with it. Always seemed like the Rangers that had long range... Though in BFBC2 the Spas CAN be used as a sniper, cross-map one hit kills. Silliest and most epic thing about that game.
  2. Submachine guns in general seem overpowered, especially with steady aim or grips. I'm mostly annoyed because I'm a long range combatant, not with snipers but with semi-auto and burst rifles, and the maps are just so... limited in regards to 'unconventional' strategies like that. CoD is a quick game, unrealistically so, and such small maps screwed both true and pseudo-snipers. There were a few things I liked in MW2; burst rifles, akimbo weapons, pistols, shotguns, and knives. Black Ops pretty much took all that away. I can only excel in very close range or far enough away that the enemy is barely a dot.
  3. Yeah, but the thing is that snipers are BALANCED in BFBC2, whereas in Modern Warfare... <_< That's my biggest problem with CoD, balance. Killstreaks ensure the winning team keeps the upper hand no matter what, true tactics are essentially nonexistant, and there's always one weapon set that snaps the others like twigs. It got much worse in Black Ops.

Jacques. Everyone needs a mascot named Jacques.
  5. St00f. :) Would you care to join one of the IRC games? (Jeez I'm like Hex and Hegemony with this. :P )

I said it much better. <_< Moving on, is anyone willing to donate two research points for Giant Frickin' Robot research?
  7. ^ BBC2 beats the carp out of it, I can't understand why no one on PS3 plays it anymore.

If you hug me, you might get punched through a wall. You know... self defence reflexes and such... And the fact that I have lightning generators in my palms might make things worse... And there's the armour lockup... And my Blitz could misfire...

Create a world on its back?
  10. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
No, but really Mather, why is it at all necessary? The only difference it would make is that the rest of us would be more confused than usual. Lei, *ahem.* Did you think I fired a VOL Device past your head yesterday by accident? EDIT: There's also an 'a' in 'jealous.'

Oh, so you admit that I'm right and you're wrong and that Archi shouldn't have to measure electrons with fish. I'm so glad we agree.
  12. 300% approval, Spork.

Soup. And Mather, stop being difficult. Hard science is not allowed, I suggest you stop clamouring for a concrete measurement before he decides to agree and use tuna as the unit. Besides, it's a normal concept... Burning a fuel, in this case kT, to create energy... While humans have gotten better at that, we still can't reverse the process, same as in real life.

^ and ^^ is exactly what I'm talking about Earth. Mass fabrication is a legitimate concept, but you need to drop the hatchery idea right now.
  15. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
No. It's not a brick flail. It's a Mass Fabricator. Just make a Mass Fabricator.
  16. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
In 11 sessions, the asteroid belt will be completely depleted of resources. Mass Fabrication would be considerably better.
  17. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Ah. And what about the other questions, getting to those?
  18. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Sounds about right. Firsthand experience with what, Retech?
  19. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
You keep making irrelevant points. What was that old Tavern quote about Roman coins? I'm just saying, we've heard numerous warnings from SI about giving robots medical knowledge. And yes, nanites count as robots.
  20. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Derp. You're making a mistake in thinking that there's only one potential issue. And I still cannot use them with confidence.
  21. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
... Retech, that might be a bad idea. SI told me that was part of what drove SUE insane, and it might damage your systems. SI, I am correct in assuming that SUE is now a separate entity again? The whole SUE-home thing I made to keep her safe during my theoretical suicide mission is now her permanent abode?

It would seem to be a matter of building some sort of mech and putting a transmitter in it. I would imagine a wide variety of designs would be available. Anything much larger than a human would be in my domain, androids would be the specialty of Drake/Apep, and swarm-type robots are favourites of Theros. EDIT: Earth, still wouldn't be any sort of hatchery, and it would probably take many research points. However, I do support a Mass Fabricator project, it might be incredibly useful.
  23. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Earth, THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE. Not unless you spend a crapton of resources on a mass fabricator, which does not yet exist in the known universe. Mather, *Sigh* I suppose it's better than most of your ideas, and will have it's uses, but the AIs already have self repair mechanisms and SI has stated the issues with giving automated entities medical knowledge.
  24. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Mather... <_< Bonsai and I have already researched sufficient levels in Psionics to enable mechanical self-repair. And I really do not like the thought of tiny robots inside my body, especially if they're of your design. There are so many ways it could go wrong, especially with someone like me who fires lightning from their palms... EDIT: Earth, it's called putting a solar generator on the Unity... It's already been determined that solar power is next-to-useless. EDIT: Retech, build a battle frame, as I suggested before. Jeremiah doesn't like the idea of a Research AI fighting "in person," I don't think he would object to you controlling machines built for battle.
  25. Nexaduro replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Earth: Mechanical hatchery = replicator... It's so incredibly pointless, it's not even funny. Use your research for something half-useful, Giant Frickin' Robots would further the interests of the crew as a whole. :) EDIT: Retech, just lobby Jeremiah for resources. That's what I usually do, and we have at least 4,500kT.
