Oh, I didn't realize making a post with superb grammar, spelling, punctuation, and a good show of reasons and (some) logic was whining. If you put a credit card in to buy Runescape money on a non official site (i.e. Jagex does not sell gold) you also deserve to get your credit card stolen. I am not saying you do not. I am saying that it was happening, and that is why Jagex removed everything you posted about. Jagex could care less if a few nooby players got lured, or scammed. But people were stealing credit card numbers, and perhaps using them to buy memberships for their multiple bots, and then defaulting on the payments because the card got canceled. Thus, jagex was losing money from memberships. Also, the fact that if you lost your credit card number while trying to buy runescape gp is reason enough to start a lawsuit. I am not saying this is right, or anything like that. Sueing a company because you were trying to break their rules and got scammed is ridiculous, and should be laughed out every lawyers office. But it isn't, it is something that was a risk to Jagex. When you can win a lawsuit against the state for installing guard rails that do not "guard" your car and keep it on the road when you hit the guard rail at 40 mph dead on, pretty much anything is possible. (they are now called guide rails btw) Same thing with sueing mcdonalds because you spilled coffee on yourself, or sueing the homeowner who shot you when you were attempting to burglarize his house at night. These should never have happened, but they all did, and they all were won. Therefore, Jagex was at risk of getting embroiled in a lawsuit cause some stupid noob lost their credit cards trying to break the rules. (yes they deserved it) Jagex didn't want to have to waste time and money fighting lawsuit after lawsuit. They also wanted their players to play the game, not just buy money from a gp seller and then after a few months get bored because they have finished buying everything in the game. I actually posted a response to this because you had good grammar, spelling, punctuation. If you hadn't, I would simply have told you to shut up and to back to the RSOF. The reasons you gave for the RWT fixes Jagex instituted in 2007 were incorrect. Because of this, I naturally assumed that you were just complaining, and avoiding the actual reason for these fixes. You're also posting in the rants forum, what does anyone else do in here but whine and complain about things they do not like. Corruption makes me sad.

If you rant, everyone says you're whining. Live with it. I do agree with him about the bald guys in green pants.

You have a point there. The problem with getting pked is that you don't get a gravestone........ For that I'm glad they removed the wilderness. But on the other point you're right. I can no longer give gifts to my friends. What I don't mind about that is that it does encourage questing, but that's another story.

Oh. Definetly not a troll topic. Just complaining about something everyone disagrees with me on.

I have Att 64 Str 65 Def 63 Range 61 Prayer 56 (using ooglog totals 63 points) Hp 64 Magic 64 Hardly ideal stats for barrows, but a run replaces my runes (plus a little) and a lucky drop could refund a good portion of my food. It's not that hard a minigame, and one of the fun parts of runescape. Most monster hunting doesn't quickly get you something good. Have fun playing the minigame.

I'm aware. That's the problem. I don't do pvp. I just see this & feel like it's unfair to me. (In accordance with my insane code, I'm waiting till I have 85 slayer before getting a whip). Newbie? I've been playing about a 2.5 year total, have 272 quest points, am combat level 86, and total level 1406. Is that newbie? I don't see what the problem is with potions. Explain, why is potions bad? Why is boosts bad? Why is whip being more superior to Dragon Longsword 'bad'? I feel that too many of these stronger things are too easy to get. That's not a problem... In your opinion. I feel it makes the game too easy. [/hide] But you're comparing Dragon Longsword to Whip. The average joe has a whip, even the level 90s in the GE has a whip. And the fact that you can also borrow stuff, I don't see any problem in it. If you find RS too easy, either go solo the Corporeal Beast or suck it up. Tbh. I don't find it too easy. But it has the potential to be very easy. Without the GE, how many people do you think would have whips? Hmm, everyone who uses player to player trade? I disagree. I don't think people would sit around in banks waiting for someone with 85 slayer to happen along & sell them a whip. Take a look at how many people are above 85 slayer on high scores lol. ALOT, and all that would happen is the whip would go back up to 6-7 mil, thats how much they were before G.E. And the whip is by far THE best weopon to train att and defense, i went from 65-67 defense in like 3 hours last night Not really. This isn't 2007, there are superior weapons to whip now. I'm out of arguments. It was a nice debate. Btw, what is a "troll topic?" I know I'm a newb not to know this.

I haven't used one. I'm just basing on what I see other people do. The point of rants threads is to complain............. Of course it's silly! Lol rants. You can't really blame other people for making whip look overpowered, it's not really that much stronger than the Dragon Longsword, albiet being superior in Damage Per Second. If another player has higher stats, then he is bound to hit higher. I don't like rants for the reason that most rants are silly/troll. How about the combat lvl 70s hitting hard with a ehip? They may be using boosts, like potions and prayers. I'll never understand people who use potions like they're incredibly easy to replace. L. I bought pure sets by the 100's, and use them 24/7. They are cheap as heck. I have no interest in affording one. I have interest in getting level 85 slayer and then getting ahold of a whip. I know super sets are cheap as heck, but the def/att pots don't buy quickly, and I consider it a waste of money. I don't stalk pures. But I do notice what they do.

Tired of this, gonna ignore this thread now True. If you want a whip, get 85 slayer. Much more fun than buying it on the ge.

1) You aren't responding to anything in my thread. Please make your own thread if you want to write about these things. 2) I never suggested these potions be made tradeable. 3) How about you give a better counterargument than "making things harder and more annoying is good", because it's pretty weak. I'm not offended, your arguments are just weak, impertinent, and/or just false. If you have something legitimate, post it. Lol, totally agree + support your thread. Why untradeable potions aren't allowed in a familiar is beyond me. I know it's untradeable therefore it couldn't be, but beyond that reasoning there is nothing else. They are droppable, correct? Otherwise you could drop an undroppable item (by storing then dismissing). Eh? If you mean undroppable item shouldn't be stored in a familiar, then fine, but extreme potions should be storable, there's no reason not to. I agree. Just clarifying, as my herblore is only 55.

I took a 1-year break in 2007 and a .5 year break in 2009

I have had no experience with high-powered equipment. But you are very right. It just needs to be hard to get.

I'm aware. That's the problem. How is that a problem? Even if you foolishly decide to DIY everything, you can have about 35 potions made in under 10 minutes by farming and then making potions. Your attitudes and viewpoints are representative of those who have little understanding or analytical skills. Hence the "newbie" mentality. Also 2.5 years is new, you probably don't even remember the time before the grand exchange. Many players here on tip.it have been playing since 2001. 1406 total can be achieved with as little as 6 milion xp, which can take an intelligent and willed player no more than 200 hours, which for a casual player is around 2 months. Some players have more xp in one skill than you have in all 25. I have been playing since 2006. And yes, I do remember the time before the grand exchange. I think rs was better then. What am I lacking in analytical skills?

Then why bother getting 99s? You can get the exact playing experience described out of runescape, you just have to play it the right way. Simple - it's addictive. It's very easy to get drawn into the trap of grinding for 99s. Unless you were always a casual gamer, then you'll definitely get drawn into the vortex of grinding sooner or later. How do you define a casual gamer? I'm sorta old school (I started playing in 2006) and I like most changes.

Chaotic weapons are untradeable. Makes them way harder to get.

Mingames exist........... What about barbarian asault, vinesweeper, pest control? I find training dungeoneering fun. Who cares about the rewards? What's so great about a bonecrusher anyway?
