  1. it boils down to efficiency: it takes a ton longer to clear all rooms, but the exp is only slightly higher. you gain less exp per hour killing everything. That's the information that matters to most of your fellow players. In f2p however, it is almost always worth it to do the extra rooms. Here is why. There is an added time to actually finding players for a team and starting a dungeon. In a world where there is no latency in finding teams, there might be instances in large dungeons where those extra rooms might not be worth it. It is in our best interest to reduce that overhead so that we reach a state where xp/dungeon and xp/hour is maximized. The rant here is that when I clearly know where a particular door is and heading toward it, I see "1 minute until end" which really annoys me. Especially when I clearly say "dont end" I think you are confusing opening the extra rooms bonus with the level mod bonus. Level mod is the bonus you get for killing all the monsters. Just opening doors is the room bonus. 99% of team's I've had on f2p waste time clearing rooms of monsters. If it is an alter room clear it. Guardian rooms clear it. Room before the boss clear it. Otherwise just leave rooms uncleared especially dead end rooms. I agree that teaming with strangers can suck. I've also teamed with higher level dungeon players that are clueless about how to play well. I wish there wasn't a penalty for soloing I think most people would choose to solo it. It's more fun! And you don't have to start over as much.
  2. Quoted for Truth! Construction does not REQUIRE money. You can theoretically DIY to 99, but it would take a long [wagon] time The only way it doesn't require money is if you camped armoured zombies or used limestone bricks you mined yourself or something. Using the sawmill/ plank make REQUIRES money. Another skill that REQUIRES money is summoning, because you have to BUY the shards. These two skills were designed to be money sinks, so its only natural they be expensive. Summoning isn't necessarily a money sink. You can get more than you paid for a pouch, potentially.
  3. How long have you played RS? Sorry to shatter your dream, but ancients costs more than it's worth. Nice to find someone else without a grind mentality.
  4. Quoted for Truth! Construction does not REQUIRE money. You can theoretically DIY to 99, but it would take a long [wagon] time As a relatively strict DIY: Costruction requires so much cash. It may be different with the lunar spell, but it can cost a significant amount to use the sawmill.

  6. Nobody likes a flamer. Wow, you agree with me on so many points........
  7. it boils down to efficiency: it takes a ton longer to clear all rooms, but the exp is only slightly higher. you gain less exp per hour killing everything. That's the information that matters to most of your fellow players. Of couse. But it also helps xp not having to start over because you haven't gained the xp to continue to the next floor.
  8. I usually solo. It's less annoying than teaming with people you don't know.
  9. I likw your points. And I'm happy to dungeonner with you if you want it.
  10. It would be cool. Of course, many people start new accounts, and my cape would be about 2 years after I actually began playing.
  11. Oh god! I have played Runescape since 2001/02 and I never noticed that before. lol! -- Also. Having played back then I remember the good times. They were good, sure. If you don't count clicking 10,000 click for 500 coal or sleepingbags with chaptca's. These days are easier, sure. But they are also much more fun. There are a lot of bad and annoying players around, but you can still find good people, focus on those few rather than the masses you don't like and I think the time spent in the game will be a lot more fun for you. I would say 2006-2007 was probably the RS golden age. Then stuff got easy. Awesome how you noticed that. I never did. You can play the game like an old schooler, so yeah, you're right.
  12. Get stronger. This. getting stronger is a very good idea. Ancients can be countered Try using ranging gear try using seercull try using potions try using prayers try robbing their runes away try your best try using ancients try piling try harder Getting stronger is a good idea, but: You can't bring specific gear into SC. The damage reduction from prayers doesn't prevent their effects. You have to reach them before they attack you to rob their runes. Piling requires coordination. Just because they're a higher level than you doesn't mean they didn't have fun. Somehow you keep managing to say more idiotic things each time I read your posts. GTFO. No need to be so mean, don't spread hate, its unhealthy 0.o Thanks for the support.
  13. Why their players? I believe this is a nostalgia rant. It's nothing but constant complaining about the newer updates. As a long term player I am offended by your post. Is being nostalgic every once in a while bother you? I'm sorry, but I still play the game like everyone else. I'm very sorry. I support nostalgia in all ways, and am a semi-long time player myself. I just want to make it clear that a lot of this rant seems to be nostalgia-based.
  14. This tbh- why I always wear karils top with torag/ veracs legs (or skirt <_< ) lets me block mage with ease, while ripping people to part with a cbow or whip  Of course, the fun starts with 10 people dark bows specing you (insta kill :ohnoes: ) You're joking, right? I don't have any, but I would think it would be smart not to waste barrows armour repair state in pvp minigames.
  15. Grinding alchs is training hard? I call slayer training hard XP ==================================== Comon, we all understand the cause of the OPs infinite RAGE, trying to fight just one high level ancient mage with those stats is hell... more like suicide. If you really hate those ancient mages, train up your ranging, then fire a few bolts up their [kitty] robe-skirts, you'll find it works quite well. The problem is that their better for not having had fun playing RS.
  16. That's pretty much how I do it. It's also nice if you can find a way to level without pure grinding.
  17. So you can't be an effective pure........ Have you ever thought that Jagex wanted you to be versatile???

    Favoritism?

That is how you do it. It should help to advertise somewhere besides RS also.
  19. It is inaccurate. Dragonhide doesn't save you from high level ancients. Not when you melee. Hides will make the mage miss quite often, but eventually you do still get immobilized. The point is to use hides and range, so that while the mage is splashing most of the time, your arrows/bolts are completely accurate, because a mage has minimal range defense. The more accurate statement would be, dragonhide alone doesn't save you from mages. Good thing too, or melee would be even more dominant being able to wear hides carelessly. Of course, your own stats factor into the equation. A 99 mage will freeze a level 70 wearing just about anything, just like 99 attack will hit the same level 70, again in just about anything. Anyway, about SC, what I usually see is a reasonable amount of good fighters on both sides. What often happens, though, is they wander aimlessly on one team, while someone on the other team has organized a decent PK party to spawn camp with. The first team could easily have done the same with teamwork. True. I just wish I had people on my team that would listen to me. One man can't take on an army.
  20. Have you tried it? Killing every monster also.
  21. Runescape is so fair :)
  22. Maximize xp/floor, not xp/hour. What? That doesn't make any sense. Why would you not want to maximize xp/hr? No clue, but I, for one, find it more fun. Maximize xp/floor means you A)Use prestige to your advantage, B)Unlocking all the bonus rooms, and C)never dying. It takes more time, but you can spend more time on higher level floors when your dungeoneering level is low.

    Favoritism?

He obviously is. Otherwise the others wouldn't have to gang together.
