  1. Expense isn't the reason to obtain items yourself. It's about a feeling of achievement. So I think this is insulting to DIYs.
  2. How do you train summoning without spending any money? Mostly tears, but there is plenty of methods to break even or *gasp* profit off summoning as well. Without having to carry around a familiar everywhere (like fruit bats, or magpie) I trained summoning to level 47 basically just on tears. I'm sure you can profit, but that still costs money in the first place.

  4. Yeah, sure. AAFR? And why do you say it only feels like an adventure to do the necessity quests?
  5. I agree. Interdependence, having to rely on personal skills, it's all coming back. I hope they'll make more of those content like the the dungeoneering bit, I kinda like the adventure feel. RS itself can have an adventure feel, dungeoneering just sets a goal for you. RS itself can only have an adventure feel when you just began playing. Unless you're a very imaginative person or something. Most people don't think RS have an adventure feel past the first few months of playing, especially in F2P. Much of RS is just grinding, and not adventure. Have you even tried high-level quests? High-level quests only allow you to get a break from the perpetual grinding for a while. And how do you even get access to those high-level quests? Grind, grind, grind and grind more. Meh. You have a good point, but I am geeting an adventure feel from the game, even in grinding sometimes.

  7. Use free xp. Like ToG. That requires all my other stats to be higher - cons, which I hate to death, and dungeoneering, a [cabbage] skill, and farming which just takes forever. Except dungeoneering, it's not a wasted week if one of those other skills is boosted.
  8. Quoted for Truth! Summoning requires a lot of money to do, you just don't lose it. You still have to have a hefty amount of cash to get the ball rolling. Exactly my point!

  10. Summoning is god, lol Yes, summoning can theoretically double your party size.
  11. True, but as a DIY: This is how you do construction: Have a house near a bank, then just have your servant constantly exchange logs for planks. Wait....using the servant for planks doesn't cost money?! It does. But it's the only convenient way I can train costruction as a DIY.
  12. FoG isn't about the rewards.............. It's about finding and murdering another helpless player!!!!!!! I know, I play it that way  But when I win, I spend the tokens on Dragon Gaunts and then have Reggie uncharge them and sell them on the GE for a good high profit from FoG :^_^: Who's reggie?

  14. RCing sucks. Agi you train in the arena, construction is annoying but worth it when you have spare resources, summoning is nice when you have ToG to back up your training. My absolute favorite weapon in the game is a ranged weapon, so that's cool too.

  16. Not expensive, just not worth it to waste the money however small it may be. As stated before, and you could have implied from my signature, I detest range. It's one of my least favorite skills, along with RC, Cons, Agility, and Summoning. They're all extremely useful skills (with the half exception of agility) but I HATE them and therefore, they are some of my lowest skills as I do not grind. Why not use them, though? Not grinding, just using them here and there for training? I might not have made myself clear....I hate them to death. I would gladly lose all my cash to just have them leveled to the point where I don't need to train them for anything. Ok. They're some of my favorite skills, so I have an urge to defend them

  18. You have a point there, if you're talking about ancients. I prefer it in total non iitem loss (FoG, SC, etc.)
  19. So sorry for you. Try finding a p2p supplier, maybe?

  21. You're getting less money than you lose in castle wars........... People are willing to "waste" money on clan wars games. Seriously, what is the point of having gp in a game if you don't spend it to relax, to have fun? Must you always be counting all the gp, to ensure a profit in whatever activity you do? If you're playing RS like that, you might as well "play" real life. Oh, certainly not. However there are several powerful armour alternatives to Barrows that don't cost to repair.
