G2H is the bane of my existance... especially in the hands of anyone that has a higher combat level than me... I had one guy down to really low health, he promply hits one 300+ and I think another 100ish hits... In short, G2H is amazing, and probably a pretty good PvP weapon. Then again the ffa (safe) portal isn't quite the same as actual risk pvp And Sonikku, that leaves open the question of why people do not use the battle axe as much.

It really seems that they aren't right now (except the combat ones), except for dungeoneering. From a F2P standpoint, none of them really are tbh. All the high end stuff is mainly members material, or if it is available for free, its around level 85ish. As for F2P combat, I've seen a 126 lose to characters with lesser stats tons of times. But, seeing as you are a member I won't burden you too much with such things. Although... a 99 that was gotten 100% in free play is an incredible achievement.

Maybe its my combination of 80 defence and a defence amulet thats keeping their dps down then cause I'm doing epic right now :P Note that I'm talking of their actual dps, I understand that theoretically the scimitar has a higher dps than my battleaxe.

Ive been in Clan Wars recently using a battle axe for lack of a scim and I have realized that the battle axe is epic. Why don't more people use them?

Nah, instead of a speed boost, why not give them a damage boost so the range weapon of choice isn't automatically a shortbow?

You should sell your full saradomin, buy full rune and keep the money until you've found a 'very good' money maker. :P FoG can actually be quite profitable; 170K for one pair of rune gauntlets and 300K for a rune berserker shield. I just realised I have about 500 cut gems in my bank... looks like I have a way to get 50 crafting and make some money :P so I'm good thanks for the advice though.

Ehh.... but a MacBook can, no biggie. And like baller said, you can buy a laptop for about the same amount, so the real question is, what else can this contraption do?

When I died I had 22k in my bank lol. I do have the money now, but Im loathe to take away from my "Sara Helm Fund" because making money is slow for me.

Nah. Most people are still level 30s trying to get some free Magic XP. :shades: Sweet although my rune scim went with my gauntlets so a 2h or a longsword will have to do if I melee them. Or would my dagger work?

Probably the stereotypes members have about F2P (and vice versa). That and those idiots in the safe ffa portal who hide behind the safe barrier, come out and attack you and then run back that really gets on my nerves... EDIT: and low level players who think they are so great cause they crash your spot while you are busy posting on a forum.

One thing I would recomend as a skill is mining... good money to be had if you work at it long enough. The downside is that it gets boring easily. Just some food for thought.

Why can't F2Pers (and members) have an upgrade to longbows? They are way too underpowered in my opinion. The French practically lost the 100 Years War (I think) because of longbows*. The English longbowmen were on the top of a hill, The French mounted nobles in full armor were at the bottom. The French charged up, and got owned ...11 times... but if anyone so much as takes out an unsighted longbow they get pretty much owned by anyone and everyone ... seems kind of... wrong... at least in my own opinion :-| *I'll need to re-read my history book on this one EDIT: It was the Battle of Crécy in 1346 that I was thinking of.

I seem to have forgotten that part... I think I rely on mef Defence too much... I was out of food then and trying to go as long as possible without leaving because I was so close to a level. Then while my computer was lagging he hit 81, 79 and the final 53 did it. I wasn't praying at the time because I didnt think taking 203 damage that fast was very likely... By the way, how much are rune gauntlets in FoG tokens?

Well yesturday, I finally reached my goal full saradomin, that pointless show of extravagance. Whatever, I was still proud. So I decided to get my combat up, so I go to lessers on an empty world and start training. All goes well for a couple trips, im 26k exp from an attack level when my computer randomly seizes up, I despirately click my quick prayer (protect melee) but alas, when the game catches up, the prayer takes hold literally the same moment that the demon hits for my last bit of life. I end up in lumbridge and hurry to the bank to get 30gp for the ferry to karamja but in my haste, forget that I could tele to Falador instead of running to Port Sarem. I manage to get to Karamja right as my grave crumbles... That was depressing... Well I just needed to vent before I go back to mining Adamantite Ore to get my helm back :sad: Well call me an idiot all you want but I already know I am, so go get carpal tunnel doing something at least somewhat useful.

Good, I stopped dungeoneering for a while because it was boring having the same rooms over and over again... This should liven things up a bit.

So about Occult challenges in F2P dungeons... it = even less exp?

Granted I'm just one person, but I'm F2P and I want a Rune spear.... that counts for something, right?
