It's always tough in a way to watch people leave the game. I have been playing the game since it was first released. I have seen lots of people leave, wether I know them personaly or just know them through the game. I have also seen lots of people I don't know leave, people I have just heard of. I know the toll RS can take on certain people, physicaly, mentaly, and emotionaly. Some people have to just walk away. What I think makes RS special is the community. People get to be good friends through a game. So when someone eventually does decide to leave the game, they are not just leaving a game, but a community with friends and people they have gotten to know. I think thats what seperates RS from other games. Now that I am done rambling, I just wanna wish you luck in all that you do in life. Take your drive you had for the game and use it to be the best at what you do. Good Luck.
  2. People who have a total addiction to the game (trust me I have seen people with total addiction to it) can't just leave it alone for a little while. It's like telling a chain smoker or an alcoholic "just have a smoke or a drink every once and a while if you want". They can't have one every once and a while, thats why it's called an addiction. Addicts can't just cut back its all or nothing. Recovering alcoholics in treatment facilitys are told taught that one drink can make all the work they have done dissapear. For some people quitting Runescape is the only way to stop.
  3. Why does that put you off RS? How is a person walking down the sidewalk that can't keep to himself Runescape's fault?
  4. f2p- Probly dragon slayer p2p- Rat catcher easy enough to do just extremly dumb, long, and pointles... Desert Treause wasn't to bad just a few tough spots. RFD also wasn't as hard as people said just the requirments are.
  5. In my personal opinion I think RS3 is a bad idea. My main reason is prices to play Runescape will go up. The reason I don't play WoW is because it costs way to much for a poor college student like myself to keep up with. I am able to deal with being able to pay for RS because they keep members costs down (and I have been a devoted RS member since its release and a devoted RS player since it was released). If there ever is a RS3 there will be a price to pay (literally). If you go back and look at past game developers like Blizzard. The first Warcaft's, Starcraft, and Diablo's were all free to play. Warcaft and Starcraft were free to play online. Granted they were not MMORPG's but they still had online play. Then there is Diablo II from Blizzard. Diablo II is a great game, when it works. Good visual (at least I think so) and good gameplay, BUT it's free to play and there are an awful lot of bugs. The lack of time and energy put into fixing Diablo II is part of two things, one being it is a free to play game and two is they have WoW which people pay to play. why fix Diablo II when people pay to play WoW? All in all these examples bring me to the fact that an idea of RS2 worries me. My main concernes are it will cost a lot more for Jagex to maintain a RS3 meaning it will cost more for membership, and/or free to play gameplay will be very bugy or free to play will be eliminated totally. If an RS3 can be made and kept at low costs to play I definatly would not have a problem with it. Thanks for letting me post my opinion and concerns. Xeith
  6. Four or Five times over the past 4-5 hours I have been trying to open the thread containing the info for the Freak Train event. Is anyone else having the same problem? Or could someone post the info (costume, start location, ect.) plz so I know what im doing. Thanks Plus im sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
  7. O.K. I think im ready to get back into the game and get my character back to as good as he use to be. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and the motivation.
  8. I could go back to my old goal of all my stats in the top 100k. and get my firemaking back inside the top 10000. Not a real crazy goal right now but it sounds like it should keep me going awhile.
  9. yeah i think my ranged and prayer are to low for a fire cape. i think overall my combat stats are to low, but good suggestion.
  10. Yea my membership expired before the lunar magic stuff was released. Thanks. Any more ideas?
  11. P.S. I know its not the best but feel free to rate it as well.
  12. My membership expired several months ago and I let it go because I was starting to get bored with it. It's now been several months and I am low and behold bored of the other games I own and want to get back into playing RS. I think I have a decent char with pretty good stuff. Ill post my stats and equipment also. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate it. 13. Yep, that would be wise. I got another example of how you can get reported for not answering. Imagine your cooking or fletching unstrugs, you will have lot's of mensages from it and if someone talk to you and your not looking on thouse 5 next secounds his mensage will dissapear from the screen and you will not know he asked anything. If your doing something like fletching cooking whatever just leave public chat on. If a noob wants to keep blabing about you ignoring him and he reports you at least it looks better that you had public chat on rather than off. I do agree that there probly should not be an option to turn private chat off because Jagex takes people having private chat off as macros. Just put the noobs on your ignore list or just ignore them in general.
  14. If you read one of the rules in the RS forums Code of Conduct one rule specifically says that you WILL NOT get banned for being on the forums and playing the game at the same time. Its specifically stated in the code of conduct that its o.k. If you do get banned send an appeal. I does make me mad that noobs report people all the time for ignoring them. I've been reported probly 25 times for ignoring noobs when im training. Just go lol when they say they reported you. Makes them look dumb and shows that you are actually there.
  15. I think i have to agree. I had 500k in the coffers and got 5 birds nest.
