Archi, is it possible to have a race of 'space floaters'

I feel this won't work, a game like this needs to be a lot looser and creative; this is more like multiplayer civ but it isn't as good so it looses appeal.

The four different types of weapons were used in the context of immunity, your three are for a completely different purpose. I would personally do it based on the type of weapon and how it would affect a person. I would split it into five. Kinetic A physical object is defined as an object that does not rely on another force to exist (in any state), useful against nearly all races can be prevented with tougher skin, regeneration or psiokinetic shielding. Electrical/waves/plasma Forces that do rely on something to exist in a certain state but are [usually] uncontrollable Heat Weapons that use temperature to cause harm to people, these affect jelliform races (slugs, octopie, zygons) which either boil or freeze due to high liquid content. Examples of weapons include freeze rays. heat rays, lasers and most DEW's. Psionic/Magic Anything that uses a psiokinetic, psiopathic force. Affect weak minded races (imbeciles) and non psiopathic races. Examples include telephathy, telekenesis and other forms of 'magic'. Dark Matter Special forms of weaponry that are either researched or found, some can defy the laws of physics. Nex it probably would be fun but I've decided agaisnt using psionic power for my race, I'll replace it with something more useful like...... Continued later!!!

Archi, before I write up the advantages and disadvantages I need some information about what psionic power is within this game. Is it a physical energy force (like rays) Does it always work (100%) Can I emulate it through bionic means? What can it do? How can I stop it? Someone mentioned four weapon types, I know two (phyiscal things, psionic) what are the others. Archi, I would be willing to create sketches of the aliens for you to put in a hide tag next to the information page, if anyone wants one please give me a link to physical description.

Archi, I agree; I'd happily spend some time doing a master plan but I would avoid it because my sense of logic is different to Dustys. My sense of logic is based around what could work and using objects for different uses. Dusty's logic is based on tried and tested methods. Ergo; if I sent a battle plan to Dusty he would probably regard it as stupid and just ignore it, Archi however seems to have a logic like mine (more creative) and therfore I would peform better in an Archi modded game than a Dusty modded one (if that makes any sense). Ross, I agree; creating technology is a good way of increasing enjoyment, I haven't played a proper hegemony yet but you'd probably get a load of scans of robots and spaceships on the thread. Napoleonic hegemony is limited in the sense that I can't create anything new, this is is why I look forward to Delta V, race creation is as fun as anything! Earth, I have an idea for a game I think you would like (simple figures, not much work, lots of gameplay) but I don't have a computer at the moment so I can't draw the map for it or write any long detailed explinations. But it will definately appeal to you, please remind me to write up a description at 21:00 GMT tonight. I think the mods should work out the maths instead of having to do it yourselves, stress is not nice! I don't think I could really so picture dungeoneering at the moment, Its too large a task but I'd be happy to mod it as long as I get quite a few players; I think the only thing I would change is to give a few more junk items that still function instead of a powerful weapon every now and than; a bit more like real life.

The mobile version does not allow opening of announcements which I find pretty annoying, I also dislike the loss of simplicity with the old forum skin. Regardless I think it's a lot smoother. Can you view all of your posts now or are you still limited to seeing the first two hundred? Edit: Laikrob, invasion supports Admins being able to change users name. Personally I feel that Invasion is awful and that we should PHBB which supports more things and is more customisable and reliable

This is an interestingly intriguing idea. Its different and might fetch a decent number of players if its modded right. :) It would definately work but only if we add something to it. I wouldn't enjoy playing your game its too restrictive.

We could always play a sort of wink murder but maybe add some complex rules. One person is the detective. One person is the murderer. The murderer PM's the mod who in turn PM's the person who is to be murdered, he is then killed. The detective has to work out who is the murderer before all of the people are dead. We could adapt it slightly though.
