  1. More like-- won't you miss having sex, period. :P
  2. Anyone notice the dwarves in the cabbage patch near the ports? Apparently killing special goblins will yield "unique rewards" >_>
  3. Damn. Probably shouldn't have high-alched mine >_>
  4. If it's having a negative impact on a system that you're apart of, then it's affecting you. I agree with you that the SOF is imbalanced. But that's not what I'm arguing. I'm not saying that SOF is balanced. I'm saying that the SOF is irrelevant. SOF is only an issue if you consider your achievements to be threatened by its existence. I'm just waiting for you to admit that :P
  5. If it's a sense of personal achievement, and you're not using the SoF for your personal reasons, then why does the SoF even matter to you?
  6. I think the real issue here is, people who work hard expect to be praised for their hard work. And then when someone else "achieves" the "same thing," they get offended. Keep in mind that getting 99 agility via SOF is not the same as getting 99 agility via adv. barb course, and it's not even the same thing as getting 99 agility via the wildy course. It looks the same, but they're completely different things. Yet people are treating them as if they're the same thing and getting all upset. You're essentially comparing apples to oranges. I highly doubt that the majority of people who buy spins to train are doing so for the attention and respect of other players like you are. I'm sure they would simply rather pay $200 IRL (which didn't magically appear out of thin air, mind you) than sit in front of their computer for over 100 hours doing something incredibly boring. Sure you can probably cite a few examples of people who go around bragging about their "achievements" from SOF, or those spend thousands of dollars on SOF, but those are the exceptions that prove the rule. Just one of those cases where the upset players would probably be a lot happier if they quit focusing so much on other people.
  7. Also, doesn't that 800k XP/hr cost like $200 IRL anyways? That's like 40 Chipotle burritos... Besides, you could get 99 agility these days and following your logic, I could say that your achievement is a slap in the face to those who trained to 99 on the wildy course w/o a BA horn. But then I'd look silly.
  8. Well to be perfectly honest, I think the whole "unfair advantage" argument has lost all of its power now that everybody and their dog is maxed, and every week a better/cheaper/more AFK/etc training method is introduced to make maxing even easier. Things that used to be considered "achievements" are now considered "normal." You don't have to agree with that. You do, however, have to accept it.
  9. Kneejerk reactions don't last forever :P
  10. GWD already drops the best amulets in game :P But I don't think crit bonuses should be added to ANY armor. Unless maybe they gave every armor a crit bonus. But like I said, never underestimate the lengths people will go to in order to maximize their DPS and experience. I still believe that Jagex created MA and made it the most awful minigame ever just to see how many people would actually waste 20-30 hours of their lives there for a tiny DPS boost :P
  11. How to properly declare the death of Runescape: And remember, kids: making money is an evil thing and if someone is trying to market their product to you, then they are ruthless, immoral, selfish pricks! If you support others making money, then you're also a terrible person!
  12. You can play the minigame. You just have to wait a bit for all the content to be available. You're acting like multi-staged release of new content is somehow weird in the video games industry, and I'm not sure why. Except you can't. I can't play this for another ~3 hours because I ran out of missions. I know I can't play all the content, but I can't even play the content that is unlocked. Stop putting words in my mouth and getting people to like you for doing it. I really don't appreciate it. Right. It's not like dungeoneering which was released in stages, but at least people could still play as much as they wanted. There's literally nothing to do in POPs once you finish all your missions, except for wait till the next day's missions... which technically makes POPs a D&D, rather than a minigame >_>
  13. Mod Edit for Context: Split from the EOC announcement thread as a legitimate discussion on microtransactions in runescape. ~@Randox Well, the game probably will be dead in couple of years unless people start buying spins and runecoins. The game isn't dying because of deteriorating game quality. It's dying because Runescape can no longer survive on membership subscriptions alone. Ironic that the players who love the game the most are the same ones who vehemently refuse to contribute to its survival.
  14. I suspect that people would grind for dozens of hours and pay billions for an equippable potato if it offered a +.1% crit bonus over every other comparable equipment. Never underestimate how obsessed everyone is with DPS and XP these days >_>
  15. That'd completely defeat the purpose of the EoC armor rebalancing. Have nex drop top-tier rings and amulets? Sure. But drop the only armor in the game w/ offensive boosts (excluding void and TzHaar)? Absolutely not.
  16. Would probably be better if they made level 75 gear creatable via skilling instead of PvM. Or both.
  17. The is barely a gap between gwd and nex armour now. As a result, it has crashed like a brick, so it's much more affordable. All good, as long as the price difference isn't as outrageous as it was pre-EOC. I can understand grinding for money for maybe 20 hours max to afford the best gear, but HUNDREDS of hours? Ridiculous.
  18. Your success rate is only as high as your lowest category too. If you have 0% Morale, 100% Combat, and 100% Seafaring, your success rate will be 0% instead of 66%. Makes more sense to make sure all of your stats are balanced before buying each upgrade/unit
  19. My concern was with the "living together" part. If he means living together as in living near each other, that's fine. If he means living in the same house/apartment together, then NO
  20. Anything to narrow the status gap that Nex gear created is a good thing, IMO.
  21. Shouldn't you be killing them in the smokey well >_> No bots there. At least, there weren't any there two days ago.
  22. Still surprised that this isn't a skill, considering how big it is. Especially considering they made DG into a skill...
  23. I suspect a new tier of resource is unlocked with each new region. 2nd region gives gunpowder.
