  1. Why is karils more tiring than runite bolts with cbow? You don't have to pick up bolts with karils.

faster, less damaging hits = more observation on the xp counter + less time to switch

why did you list handcannon as VERY slow?

it's the exact same firing speed as zaryte bow

I thought it was quicker if set on rapid?

    nope

handcannon on rapid is the same speed as zaryte bow on rapid

likewise handcannon on accurate/longrange is the same speed as zaryte bow on accurate/longrange.

the bottom line is if you can deal with the explosions and cost of ammo,

+35 ranged strength is always more useful than +30-38 ranged attack.

dude, you probably read about its speed off rswiki, yeah?

well, there, it says that the rune cbow's speed is 4 too (which is, according to RSW, the same as the hand cannon's)

and I'm like 90% sure that the r cbow is faster than a hand cannon <.< therefore, the bow should be too, right?

  4. Well, I don't like using steel titans and I play RuneScape for fun, now. ;) I think a Karil's crossbow would be too tiring to use because of the speed and my firemaking level is really low for using a hand cannon. And I probably won't get it up... it's a game- spending 100 hours bored on a game makes no sense. So therefore, I'm left with a chaotic crossbow, rune crossbow, a Zaryte bow, crystal bow, etc.

The crystal bow sucks, pretty much

Chaotic crossbow - low alchemy value and I only range at TDs

Rune crossbow - what I'm currently using along with runite bolts

Karil's - too tiring, seems expensive

Zaryte bow - this bow seems really good for TDs... requires no ammo (picking up bolts at TDs suck :P), is as fast and accurate as the CCbow, has +115 ranged strength..

Hand cannon - +150 strength BUT really slow, 90+ accuracy, explodes.. hmm.

I think I'll just wait for its price to drop but until then use rune cbow

    Thx for ur input, fellas

  5. You can bind 2 things. I'd suggest binding a promethium 2h and a shadow silk hood. Always try and get a hood as they can be rare and they're extremely useful for both joining good teams and preventing damage.............

  6. Depends on what kind of slayer you want to be.

Do you want be a casual slayer, you want to still do it effectevly, but don't mind missing a few K xp an hour so you can more money?

    Or

Do you want to be an efficieny power slayer 'nut'?

If the first...the tasks you'd cannon would be tasks that you either A) want to just get over with quickly because they make no money, but you know are good xp, or B) Actually make more money when you cannon.

Tasks like Bloodveld and black demons come to mind to me when I talk about good xp tasks...with no money.

Tasks like Aberant Spectres come to mind when cannoning them actually can make you the same, or more, money then if you did without.

If you're looking to be the power slayer...if you can set up a cannon...then that's what you cannon.

offtopic - did u get surgery done? lol

  7. Personally, I think the value of discontinued items will increase as time goes on as they'll become more rare. The amount of coins entering or leaving the game could affect this, though.

As for spirit shields, their value will probably increase as the rarity decreases and the Torva armour is added.

3rd age sucks. Soon, people will realise that. Therefore, decrease in price.

    That's just what I think, though. :)

  8. I've decided to go to TDS to try to make some cash. My stats are in the sig below, and I'll be getting 79 summoning before trying them.

For my TDS trip, I was thinking of taking this:

    Head: Void range/melee helms

    Body: Elite Void

    Legs: Elite Void

    Boots: Dragon (Snakeskin?)

    Gloves: Barrows

    Shield: Deflector

Ring: Life (Just in case, you know tongue.gif)

Cape Slot: Ava's accumulator (soulwars cape?)

    Ammo: 1k broads

    Ammy: Glory

    Weapon: Rune c'bow/korasi's

    Inv:

4 + tort of sharks (rocktails?)

    House tab

    Darklight

    Other helm

    Other weapon

    Super attack/strength/reg range potions

    Lantern>

EE (for healing spec, yes or no?)

    Titan Pouch

    Titan scrolls

    Rest prayer pots

    Sound good?

First of all, you should strongly consider getting 88 or 99 Summoning for future tormented demon-slaying. Onto equipment and items; your suggested equipment is fine, other than Ava's. I'd personally use either a fire or Soul Wars cape as most of the time, Ava's device doesn't even work, anyway. You could also use dragonhide and a dragon defender, alternatively. For bolts, you might want to upgrade to either runite bolts, diamond bolts (e) or ruby bolts (e) (if using these, be sure to bring two types of bolts for max efficiency). Don't use Korasi's as its special attack's damage dealt will be increased if located in a multi-combat zone, which it is. Instead, you could use an abyssal whip and a dragon halberd for special attacks. If you're bad at prayer switching or suffer from a lot of hits, you could bring an excalibur instead.

Check my adventurer's log (27th December). Claws. lol

  9. Thankyou for all your replies. I stuck to the following; Farseer helm, Ahrim Robe top and bottom, Staff of light, Ferocious ring, D/fire shield, Mystic boots, Fury amulet.

    Thanks again, John.

Mystic boots and Ahrim's: bad decision. I'd suggest getting infinity boots if you've spent so much on SoL and Ahrim's.

  10. you get it in nests, I believe

    they're quite rare

you plant one in various patches around RS... under south of the cabbage field which you spawn in when using the cabbage-port thingy on your explorer's ring, on Etcetaria (I think), etc.

I'd pay the farmer because they're untradeable (don't know if you can, though)

  11. Sounds like a private server thing. It's a good idea, I'd love to be able to practice switching techniques without spending a whole bunch of money, but I don't think it's going to be added. It doesn't add anything to the game itself.

Yeah, that's what I thought of.

Many people use private servers for that specific reason, so why not add this? I mean, it'll greatly cut down the need for private servers, and with that, viruses obtained.

  12. So add an option to the Duel Arena which gives the contenstants unlimited ammo?

This sounds like a lot of hard work for very little benefit.

Well, many people do fist of Guthix but hate it because of maging noobs, etc.

The XP they get is bad, anyway.

A lot of hard work? Why? Settings would be pre-set. By unlimited, I meant you can choose whatever you want.

A lot of hybrids train in the Duel Arena like this, but it's a waste of money. That's why it'd be cool to have.

  13. 1 higher prestige won't make a huge difference, really, so don't worry

prestige running won't give a notable amount of XP

the more you calculate, the less time you have to actually do dungeoneering lol

secondly, you don't have have to put efficiency in your question (knowing this community) lol ^^
