  1. Rapier>Cbow>Maul>Rigour>Staff>CLS>CKS>FKS>EEKS>Augury

You can't really put it like that. A hybrid that uses ranged and magic would be better off getting augury and rigour rather than a rapier, for example. One should provide pros and cons of each and then relate them to their future predictions/potential day-to-day use.

    For example...

    Ring of vigour - pros:

    *only 50k tokens

*enables you to go from a dragon scimitar special attack to claws

    *"" dragon claws to Korasi

*decreases points required for enhanced excalibur to 90%

    *etc. etc.

    Cons:

    *low alch value

*other rings might be better in certain situations

    *etc.

Conclusion: if you rush/high risk PK a lot, it's a good investment

    See?

  2. When taking a look at the dragon defender's stats, you can see there are way more melee-based attack bonuses added rather than strength (only 1 here). This makes the rapier's inaccuracy less visable. The strength bonus doesn't really change that much. As the dragon defender has better stats than the rune one, speed becomes more important when using it which makes rapier better than chaotic longsword (speed on its own).

  3. adding to what i said earlier i factored in kill rate. here are the minutes:effigy at the following tasks, in increasing order:

    Bloodvelds: 93 mins

    Black demons: 107 mins

    Dagannoths: 110 mins

    Black dragons: 122 mins

    Steel dragons: 124 mins

    Ice strykewyrms: 144 mins

    Dark beasts: 147 mins

    Aberrant spectres: 152 mins

    Iron dragons: 154 mins

    Mithril dragons: 156 mins

    Gargoyles: 183 mins

    TzHaar volcanic creatures: 185 mins

    Greater demons: 209 mins

    Nechryael: 221 mins

    Abyssal demons: 277 mins

    Dust devils: 280 mins

    Waterfiends: 291 mins

    Blue dragons: 296 mins

    Suqahs: 298 mins

    Desert strykewyrms: 310 mins

    Jungle strykewyrms: 314 mins

    Fire giants: 342 mins

    Living rock creatures: 442 mins

    Skeletal wyverns: 449 mins

    w/ or w/o cannon?

  4. Im sure you would like to provide a set-up?

    3rd age mage hat

    arcane stream necklace

    ahrim's robetop

    ahrim's robebottom

    god cape e.g. guthix

    chaotic staff

    celestial surgebox

    infinity boots

    gloves (barrows)

    seers' ring (i)

+ magic focus scroll from wolpertinger

    augury

    for karil & ahrim, use:

    helm of neitiznot/zerker helm

    dragon defender (upcoming)

    rapier

    bandos chestplate/tassets

    tassets

    fury

    fire cape

    d boots

    b gloves

    zerker ring (i)

    turmoil

    ofc, use ovls for speed

idk whether it'd be better to use leech def+mage and turmoil over augury + piety... ask the calculation peeps about that lol

also... bank in the dead village close to barrows for max efficiency

  5. I know I'm making two topics in very quick succession, but the questions are entirely unrelated. If this is a problem, feel free to join them.

My current (partly hypothetical) setup for safe PVP (dueling, clan wars, Castle Wars, etc) is as follows:

    Full slayer helm

    Ahrim's top and bottom

    Arcane stream necklace

    Staff of light

    Arcane spirit shield

    Guthix cape

    Barrows Gloves

    Infinity boots

    Seers ring

I use magic exclusively. My question is this: what would be more effective combat wise with this setup of a chaotic staff and a staff of light? I'm not concerned about cost of recharge or extra rune cost, so the tradeoff is purely between the stat boosts of the chaotic staff against the SOL's special attack, considering that I'm not using the special bar for anything else.

Consider this beforehand buying chaotic staff (if you don't have it already):

    *It requires charges

*Its alchemy value is extremely low

    *It doesn't save runes

*It only adds 5% damage (comparing it to the SoL)

    *It requires 200K tokens

    You sure?

  6. I like to train RC by soloing TDs and using effigy lamps on it. At my level that's ~38k exp/lamp, which is like 25k exp/hour, but your mileage my vary. It's much slower than traditional training but since the cash alone makes it worth going there, it's not as depressing.

Good idea, but my runecrafting level is too low to train it efficiently with effigies. Besides, I'd much rather spend them on either prayer or herblore, especially when considering my levels.
