  1. Ladies and Gents, I decided to kill 1000 black dragons to see if I get a draconic visage in that time. Thought I would share with you how I am going about this. At about 500 kills I am going to go to the KBD for some fun, if you want to come too sign up here A quick thing... Thanks to everyone who is giving me advice but I am going to do it my way, at the end of the day I am playing this for fun, and ZS is not that fun imo, I will move to this when I'm killing them for slayer. But if you are going to comment from now on, 15th of November, please do so with interesting points, not "godswords are outdated" or"your wrong" lol Now the good thing about this goal is that, no matter if I get a visage or not I will still make just less than 10m with the bones and hides. This is my set up: Helm: Helm of Neitiznot Ammy: Amulet of Fury Chest: Bandos Chestplate Legs: Bandos Tassets Boots: Dragon Gloves: Barrows Weapon: Saradomin Godsword Ring: ... Explorer's ring (I don't want ROW because it will shorten my trips with other drops and I cant afford anything better atm) Inventory: Terrorbird pouch. (BoB) Chicken (to get in) 2 sharks - just in case. Extreme set. (str, def and att) 2 Super anti-fires. 2 Pray pots. Charm place holders Ectophial The reason I have an extreme defence and pray pots is because I will tank about 400 hits then pray melee and heal with spec. Saves pray pots. Day 1: Here are some cool-ish drops from todays trip: As you can see, i managed to kill 104 dragons today, the wealth from all the drops is: The clue scroll and effigy will wait till the end of the slaughter, if any of you guys want the xp from the effigy just post in the comments with skills you have and your rs name and il pm you :) I sold all the bones and hides, to get enough for cannon and lots of cannonballs, and did loots of slayer today. I am only going to be doing this casually as my true aim is to get slayer to 85. But I will still carry on with this. What should I do after this? Post what you think here. I will update this with some good drops and points of interest as I go along. I predict that I will be done in about a weeks time.
  2. Make Sure Your using the same Account LOL!! If this was the case I would laugh soo hard. Its just like the whole: P1: "my computer is broken! :(" P2: "is it plugged in?" P1: "it is now..." P2: "and...? P2 has logged out. (I do realise that your computer would indeed need to be working in order to be "logged in" in the first place)
  3. The primary use of the sling and the new wind spell is to allow new or low levelled players to train magic or range without having to buy runes or ammo with money they may not have. The exp is good for level 1-10ish but after then it is almost as slow as training prayer to 99 by burying normal bones.
  4. Hey, thanks for your submission. This is indeed the right place to post it :) I have identified what caused the calculator to behave so strangely and made a correction. This fix should be live shortly... In the meantime, you can restore 'normal' behaviour and make the helm, torso and leg slots accessible again by (re)selecting the no option in the item set dropdown menu. Awesome, thank you for the quick fix. Regards, Samaster
  5. Hello all, this is my first guide i wrote it for my friend who wanted to get better but had no idea what to do. This guide should not only tell you what to kill but hopefully it should give you a greater understanding of what you are doing by training and you will be able to figure out the best ways for yourself onwards. Sorry for the lack of pictures, there will be some in my next guide. If you don’t like it, let me know how to improve for my next guide, don’t just say “I hate you, tell me how to become rich or I will kill your pixels” Here it is: Combat Introduction Experience points: When you train combat you gain Experience (xp, exp) and these all add up to level the skill you are training to the next level, the maximum level you cans reach in any combat stat is 99 at 13,034,431 xp. Constitution points (Life points, LP, Health points, HP) Regardless of whether are training strength, attack, defence, range or magic. You will gain 0.133 xp for each point you hit. E.g. if you hit 10 you will get 1.33 xp for Constitution. In attack, defence, strength and range you will gain 0.4 xp per hit. E.g. if you hit 10 with these you will gain 4 xp. In magic however you will gain a base amount of xp for the spell that you are casting and 0.2 more xp for each LP you take away from your foe. E.g. If you are casting wind strike you will gain 5.5 xp for casting it and if you hit 10 you will gain another 2 xp for it. Prayer is trained differently to the others, in order to train it you need to bury bones this will yield experience specific to the bone and will not give xp in HP. E.g. Burying normal bones you will get 4.5 xp in prayer. Summoning (members only) is trained differently to the others also. In order to gain xp in summoning you will need to get charms from drops combine them with spirit shards, a secondary ingredient and an empty pouch on a big obelisk. The xp gained is reliant on the charm you use and the level of pouch you create. There are 4 kinds of charm; gold, green, crimson and blue. Giving the least, slightly more, considerably more and the most experience respectively. Attack style: In order to train attack, defence and strength, you will need to select which one you wish the xp to go to. To do this you need to go to the combat interface on your control panel. This is the one with the crossed swords. To identify which one will train your desired skill, hover your mouse over the attack style and it will tell you which one it is going to be giving xp to. Combat level: Your combat level is determined by the level of all you combat stats. (Attack, Defence, Strength, Constitution, Mage, Range, Prayer and Summoning) If you right click on a player/monster there combat level will be listed after their name. E.g. Player (level-10) or Goblin (level-3) Depending on your level the combat level will be in one of 3 colours; Green your combat level it higher, Yellow you are the same or similar, Red they are higher than you. You should always take note of levels before you attack something. Drops: All monsters in Runescape drop items when they die; there are 3 types of drop that can be found. 100% drop: Normally bones. Monster specific: Goblins for example are the only monster that drops goblin mail. Rare drop table: This is similar to all monsters, things like gems, runes, clue scrolls can be found. Training Attack, strength and defence: Armour/weapon Before starting you will need some armour and a weapon, now as you are below level 10 at this point I would recommend buying bronze armour and a bronze scimitar. Once you get to level 5 attack you can substitute the bronze scimitar for a steel one. Armour isn’t too much of an issue at this point. 1-10 Kill cows in the field North East of Lumbridge. Drops: - 100% - Bones (180gp), Raw beef (156gp), Cowhide (259gp). Charms – gold, green, crimson and blue. Bury the bones for prayer xp. When you have a full inventory of meat and hides, bank them on the top floor of the castle and return. Xp info: You will gain 32xp for your selected style and 10.64xp for HP per cow. Therefore you will need to kill 37 cows to get to level 10 in any melee skill. Furthermore killing 111 cows will take you to level 10 in all the melee stats. (Note: remember to change your attack style so you train different skills) Tips: If you are getting low on hp cook the beef that you pick up from the cows and eat it to restore your hp. Overview: You will also gain 4 levels in Constitution bringing you up to level 14. With burying all the bones you get as drops you will gain 5 prayer levels and only need 12xp more for the next level. All this taken into account you will now have a combat level of 13. Loot: By selling all the cow hides and keeping the meat for food you will make a profit of 28,749gp. Armour/weapon You are now level 10 in all your melee stats, now is the time to spend some of that money you made of the cow hides. Black armour is now available to you at level 10 defence and weapons are also available to you at 10 attack. Black platebody – 3937gp* Black plateskirt – 2020gp* Black kiteshield – 2148gp* All this will cost about 18,354gp* Black full helm – 728gp* Black scimitar – 9521gp* 10-20 Kill the level 10 Barbarians in Barbarian Village South West of The Grand Exchange Drops: - 100% - Bones (180gp) Charms - All Runes - Earth (37gp), Chaos (51gp), Law (278gp), Mind (5gp), Fire (9gp) Other - Iron ore (246gp), Tin ore (92gp), uncut gems up to diamond (1.3k-9.9kgp), Cooked meat (115gp) and arrows (9gp-26gp) Xp info: You will gain 76xp for your selected style and 25.27xp for HP per Barbarian. Therefore you will need to kill 59 Barbarians to get to level 20 in any melee skill. Furthermore killing 177 Barbarians will take you to level 20 in all the melee stats. (Note: remember to change your attack style so you train different skills) Tips: Keep the arrows that they randomly drop to train range at a later date. Use the cooked meat they drop to replenish lost HP. There is a cooked meat spawn place in the big room to the North of Barbarian Village. Overview: You will also gain 6 levels in Constitution bringing you up to level 20. With burying all the bones you get as drops you will gain 5 prayer levels taking you to level 10 prayer. All this taken into account you will now have a combat level of 24. Loot: If you are lucky enough to get a clue scroll, ether attempt to do it yourself as it is only a level 1 and is fairly easy, or checkout the ‘Treasure Trail’ guide on www.tip.it/runescape. Armour/weapon Now that you are level 20 in all you combat stats you are able to ware Mithril. If you can afford the same equipment as you have in black (i.e. full helm, scimitar etc) then it’s highly recommended that you do get it. If you don’t have enough cash from the drops you can, and should, sell your black armour as you won’t need it anymore. Mithril platebody – 2957gp* Mithril plateskirt – 1464gp* Mithril kiteshield – 1163gp* All this will cost about 12,423gp* Mithril full helm – 726gp* Mithril scimitar – 525gp* This actually turns out to cost less than black; this is because black armour cannot be made with the smithing skill so it must be found thus making it rarer than some other armour. At this point I would recommend members to go to Burthorpe and get your first slayer assignment from Turael. From here you can train your combat by doing tasks assigned to you by Slayer Masters. Slayer Slayer basically opens up new monsters that you can kill as you gain levels. Most of which have unique drops that are only available to slayers. These drops can be very expensive (8k-6.8m) and can be sold on the GE as usual. In order to train slayer you will need to get tasks from slayer masters, these can range from kill 15 rats all the way up to kill 150 dragons. But the lower you combat level the easer your tasks will be for you. When training Slayer you not only gain xp in the skill you are using to kill the monsters along with HP, but you will also gain slayer xp with each monster you are assigned to kill. *prices may have changed since I wrote this guide, sorry if they have. -im not magic... much
  6. I think there may be a bug in the max hit calc. Description/Repro steps: Click the castle wars brace check box, then click it again. (so that there is no tick in it) The helm, torso and legs menus are faded out and you are unable to select anything from them. Regards, Samaster Ps, If this isnt the correct place to post this I am sorry.
